H e ll o w o rld my n a m e i s Tr o u bl e ... a k aAlexandra** TUCKER**ALL along, I'm calling your name Wake up, Get up, Go surf, Come back, Paint neighbor's rooms with the kids, and.....shit. Alex was about half way done with applying a second coat of charcoal grey paint to the wall when it was only a stray thought about how the cliffs were this same shade that brought Phineas to mind. She may have shrieked slightly as she descended quickly down the little step ladder and passed her brush to the teenage youth next to her, managing a quick apology for just rushing out before actually doing that. But she knew for a fact that she shrieked quite loudly when the little numbers on her clock read 5:57. She was going to mess this night up for sure. So it was with that little ear piercing display that she managed to grab her bag off the front walk where she had left it and just started off at a dead run towards her own house.
Let's just say those three long miles later she was thanking high heaven she had stayed in shape after track in high school. As she rounded her last turn and jumped nimbly up the front steps of her house she fumbled in her pocket, panting a bit as she slid them into the lock and turned the knob to enter her darkened house. But now that she was home her mind had other things to worry about of course. Dropping her bag she glanced again at her watch and growled a bit before running her fingers through her disheveled, coat splatter, ratty locks. She now officially had about fourty minutes before he would be here and she still hadn't gotten the pizza ordered, house cleaned, or for that fact even a movie decided on. She cussed for the first time in a while and grabbed at her cigarettes out of habit when stressed. Lighting it up she figured she might as well just start things one at a time.
Which she ended up not doing. No Alex took problems full force. As she spoke on the phone, ordering a medium sized pizza she went about, tossing random objects into closets and folding up and putting away what clothes were out, and at the same time trying to brainstorm on movies. As she set the phone down on the desk in her room, folding a cute beige skirt she owned and had worn two nights ago, she figured some things out. One, from what she knew Phineas was not one for complexity although she loved him for that simple fact at times. So her collection of War films, foreign films, and head trips were just not going to work very well. Two, he wasn't a chick, she knew that. He wasn't going to want to watch some little cheerleader movie or whatever so it was totally alright that she didn't have any of those with her. Three, she was lost. A pout came subconsciously to her face as she stood before the storage shelf and looked upon the movies she did have.
What it did come down to was Not Another Teen Movie(hilarious) Jaws(classic) The Libertine(sexy) American History X(just epic) and all she had to do was hope Phineas would be able to bear with one of them. Coming down from a whirlwind of action Alex plopped down upon her old, comforting, soft couch and buried her face in her hands as she sat there. She had been so hopping that tonight could have just worked out like she had wanted it too, without the pizza being late, her clothes being dirty, and her mind elsewhere at the moment. She wouldn't sulk though. Alex's head raised out of her hands as she moved her cigarette to her lips swiftly, taking a pull as she rose from her seat after just a short while there, ain't no rest for the wicked after all. She sighed with her release of smoke as she moved into her small kitchen after a moment of contemplation. Soda went well with pizza she knew that, and since she didn't have anything she was kinda screwed there. A tad frustrated that she hadn't thought of this earlier Alex pulled out two glasses from the cabinet where they rested and some fruit punch from the fridge.
She was balancing two glasses, four movies, some pillows and her snake lucas whom was wrapped around her neck lightly by the time she came to the front room. She hadn't had time yet or the money really to buy too much furniture so there was no couch out here sadly for her to work with. So she had assembled something to substitute for that well enough. In her old friend's room there had been no bed because with seven brothers and three sisters the family just couldn't buy that much. Instead what was there was something like what you would seen in a Indian Restaurant or something. Alex had copied her by quickly pulling out a mound of blankets and laying them out and over some pillows, collected around it's sides. Alex had to laugh at the ridiculousness of the bird's nest looking assemblage before tossing more pillows down against the wall as a kid on back rest so that they could indeed lay there quite comfortably and watch the movies without having to work too hard at it.
The doorbell rang right then. Alexandra cursed a bit, ran over and set the movies and drinks down, and then turned to answer it. Her sudden movements hadn't made Lucas too happy though and a quick squeeze of reminder made Alex stop in her tracks. "right most people don't like snakes" She thought for a moment before calling out a quick I'll be right there Carefully reaching up and unwinding all four feet of her pet from around her she walked into the next room over, opened the door to her bedroom and placed him in his cage to her left before closing the door tight again and moving back to where Phineas was undoubtedly waiting. As she did though a small mirror placed against the wall for decoration distracted her. She wanted to scream for a moment but merely groaned, extinguished her cigarette in the little tray below it and moved on again. The gray paint on her cheek and splattered lightly in her hair would have to wait till she had shower time again tonight to be rid of, luckily Phineas wasn't anyone she was trying to impress with looks so she didn't have to care. She opened the front door.
Hey Phinny I thought we'd agreed on.....
The pizza boy standing in front of her gave her a strange look, but obviously wasn't too fazed with her random talking because he smiled a second later. Hahah Brittany Spears apperently spoke for a lot of girls. Blushing lightly at the case of mistaken identity Alex cleared her throat and uttered a small apology before reaching into her back pocket and pulled out a small wallet, trying not to fumble around too much like the idiot she was. Fully aware of the boy's eyes on her as she did so she blushed a tad more when she realized it was probably her paint, coated everywhere, that had caused it. When she reached out silently, handed him the money and took her pizza from him she was going back inside telling him to keep the change when he spoke. Umm you free anytime? Ok yes she just froze and snapped her head back around comically, a look of shocked amusement on her face as she did so. Yeah she had to admit the feeling of nerves fluttering in her stomach were a taaaad annoying she she kinda enjoyed it, the being noticed apparently thing. Recovering from her little episode she laughed a tad as she just shook her head a bit and smiled back up to the dark haired youth with the dark green eyes.
Mmm...sure why not? How bout you give me a call sometime and i'll see what I'm doing, just look me up on that phone back at work k?
She closed the door on the nodding and smiling guy as she giggled a bit to herself. When she was sure he had left by watching through the little side glass window she shook her head a bit once again and moved back into the movie room. Where that all had come from she would never know because she never flirted, or paid much attention to those giving her attention. Ever. Perhaps she had just felt like she wanted a little change in life or something? Whatever the reason she didn't regret it at all now that it was done with. He was cute enough and what was the harm of trying to open up for dating again? She set the pizza down on the coffee table to the side of the laid out cushions and promptly crossed her arms, leaning on the frame of the doorway as she waited a bit for her friend to show up now. Hopefully there weren't going to be too many more visitors to her house this night other than him because she sure wasn't ready for any of it apperently.
**ALL along, I'm looking for your face

I KNOW THAT WE'LL HAVE A BALL if we get down and go out, AND JUST LOSE IT ALL.- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -The small amount of sunlight that was pouring through the open window in Phin’s room was honestly not a welcome visitor. It was hot and uncomfortable and quite frankly he just didn’t like it. But he was so painfully lazy that he was willing to deal with the discomfort rather than shut his blinds. Yeah he was awake, but he wasn’t about to get up. Who even got out of bed immediately when they woke up anyway? That was just lame. Granted, it could also be considered lame that despite the beautiful sunny day outside, Phin had no desire to leave the warmth of his bed, but that wasn‘t the point. Turning over underneath his sheets, Phin let out a groan but tried to open his eyes to affirm that his surroundings were what they were supposed to be. The thing with being Phineas Andrew Lee was that you often woke up in unusual places. These places included a raft, his cousins backyard, and the bedrooms of more than a few underage girls. Now Phin didn’t sleep with them or anything cause he wasn’t a total creep. But in his eyes there was nothing wrong with a little flirting. Okay, so maybe he was a little bit of a creep, just not in the way that made you want to call the police immediately. But the minute that Phin tried to open his eyes, they welled up with tears. It was way too bright in that room, and it wasn’t even that bright. So instead of braving the light again, Phin just closed his eyes once more, turned his pillow to the cooler side and fell back asleep.
A couple of minutes passed and Phin was slowly starting to fall back asleep when the cell phone that laid next to his head buzzed three times. The blonde head of hair shot up in surprise and his eyes flew open and he took a quick look around the room. A second later, he realized it was a false alarm, dropped his head back onto his pillow and grabbed his cellular device. He scrolled through the text message and the combination of the number and the words written brought a smile to his face. Oh that silly Alex. Phin would have to admit that during her absence over the past few months Phin had missed her a lot. He definitely considered her a closer friend than most of the females he associated with. So when the offer popped up on his screen to hang out he immediately accepted it. Why wouldn’t he? Alex was super radical and Phin enjoyed hanging out with her. And well to be perfectly honest, Alex was pretty hot and Phin would NEVER EVER turn down hanging out with a hot girl. Could you really blame him though? He was a male after all. And on top of that he was a walking ball of hormones.
Once he was done making his plans with Alex, Phin finally checked the time on his phone. He had plenty of time, he even had time to skateboard around a bit before he finally went over there. In one swift motion the blonde haired drummer was out of his bed and onto his feet. When he pulled himself up it felt like every bone in his body cracked back into place. He rubbed his eyes and started to make his way towards the bathroom, contemplating what kind of fun activities he should do to keep himself occupied until he went over to Alex’s house. It wasn’t until after Phineas had actually received a text message from Alex that he had planned on even getting out of bed that day. As Phin stripped himself of his boxers and sweatshirt in preparation for his shower, he continued to contemplate. It was kind of a waste of time, cause Phin was going to end up going to the beach and then the skate park like he did almost every other day when he had nothing else to do. He was definitely a creature of habit in some ways, but that was just the way he liked things.
After his shower, Phineas got dressed, grabbed an apple, and as usual made his way to the skate park. On that particular day, Phin decided that he’d skip over the beach and just go skateboard instead. But just so his mistress didn’t feel neglected he would spent twice as much time there tomorrow. Phin could never stay away from the beach for too long. Even when he made a conscious effort to stay away from it. That might seem odd to want to avoid some place as awesome as the beach, but when you spent as much money as he did when he lived in Nevada driving back and forth every weekend, you would make a conscious effort to stay away too. But Phin just couldn’t do it. The beach was his home and well that was the one place where he had always felt like he had belonged. He could be loud and obnoxious and have ridiculous amounts of emotional baggage and mental health issues, but he would always have a place at the beach. It sounded cheesy, and it kind of was, but that homey feeling he got from the beach was his favorite feeling in the entire world. Not even his old house could provide him with that kind of undeniable love.
The hours that passed during Phin’s time at the skate park felt like they were mere seconds. He perfected a few more of his tricks and heard about a few new ones as well. So maybe he had earned a few new scrapes and bruises, but Phin just felt like a god. Actually being able to skateboard could give a person that kind of feeling quite easily. When Phin finally slowed down and checked his phone for the time it was six thirty. “GODDAMNIT.” Phin was going to be late, he could already tell, and he was already somewhat frazzled because of it. He ran to gather his things and get moving. Leave it to Phineas to be super excited about hanging out with somebody he hadn’t seen in a substantial amount of time, and then be late. Way to live up to everybody’s expectations Phineas. Once he had gathered his things Phin practically bolted out of the skate park towards the store. He may have been a tad on the late side, but he had promised the lady ice cream, so ice cream was exactly what he would bring to her! At least he wouldn’t disappoint in one aspect of the night. Phin was in and out of the grocery store within seconds. He already knew that he was getting ice cream and he was running pretty late already, so he didn’t waste any time. He actually didn’t even get off of his skateboard. A few of the employees tried to stop him and tell him to get off but he breezed by them without glancing twice. He finally paused in front of the ice cream display and contemplated what to get for a few seconds. The classics would probably be the best way to go. So he grabbed a vanilla, a chocolate, and a strawberry and was back on his board within a few seconds. Once he had paid, he checked his phone again to see that he had ten minutes to get to Alex’s house. it was unlikely, but he just might be able to make it. Figuring it would take him where he wanted to go faster, Phin chose his skateboard as his method of transportation over running. Probably not the most intelligent decision when you’re carrying three gallons of ice cream, but nobody ever said that Phin was a genius…or even remotely smart for that matter. And that was quite evident when his skateboard wheel caught on a bump in the pavement and he crashed down to the ground. Normally he would have laid there for a minute to catch his breath, but at that point he just didn’t have the time. He checked the containers and found no leaks, got back on his board and was on his way. The blonde arrived in front of the house with a few seconds to spare. He adjusted is clothes and picked his skateboard up off of the ground. With a scraped hand he pressed the button for the doorbell and stood back, waiting patiently for an answer.[/blockquote] younglovex @ CAUTION 2.0 tag: alex ! outfit: clickeh!lyric credit: i gotta feeling - black eyed peas. word count: one thousand four hundred and forty one ! notes: :] :] :] !!! sorry it took a couple of days. everything just decided to get in my way. and i didn't enjoy it at all. awh! i missed alex! i am glad they can get into more shennanigans together![/ul]

H e ll o w o rld my n a m e i s Tr o u bl e ... a k aAlexandra** TUCKER**ALL along, I'm calling your name A puff of air flipped her bangs up and back out of her eyes as Alex stood there and sighed loudly in her now overly silent house interior. Her shoulder was stiffening up with leaning against the doorframe and so figuring that standing still like that for too long would do her no good she straightened up a tad, rolled her should blades and walked away from her watching position. As she walked along she almost unconsciously reached for another little cigarette out of the pack resting on the counter of her kitchen with no look or thought really towards her. Mainly due to the fact her mind was already buzzing with many troubles or issues. Numero uno of those, looking at the clock she realized technically she should be bored or waiting considering that their designated meeting time was still a few minutes off, so no rushing was needed here. Numero dos, if she really prayed that he would be late she might have time to flip on the sink faucet, run her hair through it a couple of times, and blow-dry it out to clean it all up in a quick kind of way, all hopefully in time to greet her buddy all nice and freshened up. Now this was a very tempting thought and taking a pull from the little bud at her lips she groaned, cleanliness was a pride things with her. And numero tres, she really really REALLY was looking forward to seeing Phineas again. Random thoughts all thrown together.
She took a moment to turn around and boost herself up so that she was sitting on top of the kitchen counter top, her legs dangling freely before her before she allowed herself to smile a tad. She tended to do that a lot where this spaztastic guy was involved. The smiling thing that is, not the counter sitting. It was just something a lot of people tended to do around him she assumed though. Although unlike the other girls, and some guys, who did it in hopes of future make out sessions or nightly activities they so wanted with him, Alex wasn't planning on any of that for their planned night. She wouldn't lie to herself and say it didn't feel good to have a guy around she thought was good looking, and it was true when they had very first met this was probably exactly what she had been hoping for, perhaps in some little way. Not any more though that was for sure. It was an odd thing she had going on with Phin now, at least for her. For she had never been too altogether comfortable with guys, them always being too gruff or the likes with her, let alone being friends with them. The way they were quick to talk without thinking what words meant, or acted jsut out of whims of theirs, had always bothered her. Sure this was Phineas from time to time too but...well it was different.
The little cloud of smoke before her floated effortlessly about and twirled before being sent spiraling away by her breath as she blew outwards. She liked Phineas because it felt right when they were around each other probably. There was none of that dramatic stuff unless it was coming from her, there was no awkward tension, there was just this seemingly effortless amount of air between the two. Like it was just another natural action like walking or seeing things. She smiled at that, thinking that was what friends did best after all. They were effortless with each other. So yes they were definitely friends in any way shape or form which others couldn't question, and that's why tonight was happening after all she reminded herself quickly. So letting earlier thoughts and troubles drift off she rolled her shoulders once again, pulling at the cigarette once more before she boosted herself back off of the counter top to head back for the living room to do whatever it was she should be doing at the moment.
As her feet made little thumps lightly against the cold kitchen tile, and she straightened to stand there for a moment, a thought of a dark night and clear sight of a beautiful sunset compelled her to the bay window that was in the spare bedroom to the left of the entrance. She might as well lay there for a bit and enjoy right, just in waiting still? Well in any case she headed off that way, grabbing up her drink real quick in the movie area and taking a sip, before setting in back down and moving into the other room. She settled onto the little cushioned window sill before she a sighed, and pushing her hair back out of her face for the umthmillion time today, crossed her legs criss-cross-apple-sauce before looking out. The scene outside tonight was familiar to her in many ways, considering she had seen it before. A few neighbors strolled about, kids randomly ran past in front of her house before speeding off and out of view again, a few couples held hands and chatted in secret to one another going by, cars came and went, and then as she was glancing way down the street to see a skateboarder heading up.
There was many things that alerted Alexandra right away to the fact that this was Phineas. For one thing that dandelion crazy hair of his was visible from miles away at any point in the day, two he was skateboarding which at this time was just strange, except for him of course....oh yeah and there was the fact that he was carrying cartons of what she assumed were the ice creams they had been talking about earlier over text. Alex rolled her eyes before pushing herself up and towards the door. Leave it up to him to be serious about something like that. As she went by the little table to put out her cigarette she waved about, trying in vain to get rid of the tinge of smoke hanging in the air. She didn't back to the door before Phin had rang it but she did manage to get it open in record time and sent herself forward in what she was hoping was too quick a movement for him to catch or block against. She had flung her arms around his neck in the next moment, squeezing without any really jarring moment, and had to let down a rather high pitched laugh, shout of joy. Poor Phineas' ears.
PHINEAS! Oh my God you freak, I've missed you so much!
Ok yes she was just repeating a line she had said about a million times over text to him but something about really hugging the guy and actually having him right there was just too good to miss out on for her. She pressed the side of her face tight against his chest as her arms closed around him tighter, after all she was trying to get about three months or so of hugs into one big one before she laughed a bit, just because she could right now and felt like it. While she was letting him kind of take in the fact he had been basically "huggled" by an overly spastic young lady Alex just sighed and hugged him tighter for a few moment for good measure before she let herself come back a bit, leaving her hands clasped together behind his neck so that she could lean and still hug in an odd sort of way. Like those couples do when dancing it dawned on her which was hilarious in all senses. When she had the room to Alex looked up and locked eyes with him finally, smiling brightly and carelessly for once as she stood there. Had she mentioned she had missed this individual very much? Probably not enough. She was overjoyed that he stood there right now, on her doorstep, way too tall for his own good, and unchanged in any way that she could automatically notice.
Gosh look at you and your freakish growing, wanna jussss.......Holy crap Phin what did you do to yourself?!
Sure it was only after the hugging, the screaming, and the happiness that Alex actually look at the guy, but she finally did at least. She took her hands away from his neck and placed them gently at his shoulders so that she could glance him up and down thoroughly now. Her brow knitted down on her features as she saw the streaks of black smeared against his knees, the little tears in the threads of his pants there. She noticed the scratches on his hands now and along his arms and the little spots of blood along them. Great. Well he certainly was a mess wasn't he? Looking back up to his face for half a second she gave a sigh and shook her head, a look of half sadness half questioning in her expression. He certainly wasn't dying but just thinking about the way these little scuffles with whatever left you with aches and pains made her cringe a bit, she didn't like thinking of anyone she even moderately cared for with boo-boo's as long as she was concerned. Now being careful to avoid hurting him anymore than she probably already had with the hug she reached out and swiftly took the ice creams and board from his hands and turned into the house.
Leave it to you to get hit by the one train heading through town huh? Oi Phineas I mean really if you're going to make yourself into minced meat at least spare me and clean up a bit or something so I'm not here like going into overdrive in the panic department.
Ok so she was lying. If ever he got hurt she was going to be instantly there with a med kit and lollipopfor him, but she still didn't want him getting any ideas of that he could just do these things without worry, because somehow guys had that in their heads at all times. Placing the Ice creams on the counter and leaning the board at the ground below them she moved swiftly over to a little cabinet by the refrigerator and after going onto her toes pulled down a little band aids kit and peroxide wipes. She figured this was all she'd really need seeing as his wasn't spouting blood from anywhere and anything she couldn't see she couldn't do anything about anyways so whatever. Turning back around with them she looked to where he was and just shook her head quickly before a half smile had to make it's way onto her features. Too bad he was one of those cute idiots you couldn't help but help in life. She did try to put on a serious face as she spoke though, if you can smile and be serious at the same time that is.
Alright mister, well before we get to movies I'm gunna fix you up a bit alright? Oh and an explanation of why you've come to my house bleeding on me would be nice also darling.
Now as she stood there Alex just sighed and relaxed. At least he had made it to her house in one piece and all of that right? With Phineas it seemed like you'd never be really sure what kind of state he'd be in when at your door. So she set the band aids down for a moment and turned back around to him with a little packet of peroxide wipes. She was pretty sure she didn't really want to start with this though until she got something out of him as far as an explanation, so as she unceremoniously tore open the little package with her teeth Alex made eye contact with him. Even as her hands worked to open it up the rest of the way she gave him a look that said "start talking mister" before she crossed her arms and leaned against the counter top giving him his time. God all she had wanted was to hug and talk and be all reunion like with him and he had to go and do this. Figures. She wasn't mad though at the guy, a little peeved her night was going to be spent playing nurse instead of Twister or something like that, but never mad. Nurses can have fun nights too after all can't they?

I KNOW THAT WE'LL HAVE A BALL if we get down and go out, AND JUST LOSE IT ALL.- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Expecting his wait to be a minute, or at least a couple of seconds, Phin turned around to look at the street for a second. Before he could make any kind of observation about it he heard the door open and a shriek of joy. This brought his attention back to where it should have been, and before he could get his head all the way back around to face her Alex had launched forward towards him. “Whoa there!” His head turned back around in time to register that she was hugging and he just had to let out a few chuckles. The skateboard that had been tucked under his arm fell to the ground and his arms wrapped around Alex in a crushing hug. He couldn’t say that the greeting had really totally taken him by surprise though. He just knew that somehow somewhere in their reuniting there would be that ‘lunging forward towards the other’ kind of hug, but Phin had been expecting him to be the one doing the lunging because…well that was just what he did. Not that Phin was upset in the least that Alex had taken the initiative from him. Clearly she did miss him as much as she said she did, and that made the thin, blonde haired drummer feel good because he had missed her. A whole bunch too.
The truth was that Phin couldn’t name many people that would have missed him. It wasn’t like he thought of himself as completely disposable or anything. That wasn’t the case at all. But he was most often the person that people were kind of happy to get rid of. He was loud and obnoxious and he did stupid stuff like jump off houses into pools just because he thought it was funny. Oh yeah, and he had probably slept with your girlfriend…or boyfriend or best friend or somebody that was close to you and then never called them again. Not usually what people would want around. Not at all. But Alex was different. Sure the same traits applied to her, with the exception of sleeping with somebody close to her…well maybe? He might have, but he certainly didn’t remember. Either way, he was his usual self around her. He would yell about aliens and make out with strangers and attempt to show off how utterly fearless he was, yet she still liked him. Perhaps not enough had been initially hoping when they had first started talking, but enough to hang out with him when work didn’t demand it. And Phin was more than willing to accept that. And if accepting him despite his numerous shortcomings wasn’t a trait of a real friend, Phineas wasn’t really sure what one was and he wasn‘t really sure if he wanted to know. Cause he had going on with Alex was good in Phin’s book.
“Alex! My little babushka! I have missed you as well!” With that said he wrapped his arms around her and if possible pulled her form even closer to his own. He was cautious of his hands when he hugged her just because well they were bleeding. Thankfully they weren’t gushing blood or anything of the sort, but he would have to be cautious of what he touched cause it would smear or stain or something. And it would have sucked pretty hard if Phin had gotten his nasty blood all over her after not seeing her for several months. That just would have been nasty. “You’re like not allowed to leave and go see your family again. The decree has officially been ordered by Phineas Lee. Cause I just missed your life all overr.” When she pulled away from him, but kept her arms around his neck Phin just grinned at her. He was just super happy that she had returned. Because for a while Phin had thought he had lost somebody that he had considered to be one of his best friends, and that was a saddening prospect. He had tried to make some more female friends and build up the kind of friendship that he had with Alex but it just hadn’t worked. Because he had ended up just sleeping with them. His amount of hormones was both staggering and unfortunate.
He felt himself laugh when Alex mentioned his growing. She spoke the truth. Over those three months Phin had grown an inch and a half taller. He didn’t understand it. Sure, and inch and a half wasn’t a staggering number, but when you were still growing at the age of twenty-three after smoking and drinking almost every night something had to be wrong. Or maybe something was right? Phineas wasn’t sure which one it was, but either way it just freaked him out. Before Phineas could answer her she pointed out his current state of appearance. When she did that Phin just perked an eyebrow in confusion. His eyes gazed down at his clothes and skin and he realized what she was talking about. How had he not realized that he had just looked like a hot mess? Now this just made him look even worse than if he had shown up a couple minutes late. It made him look like he didn’t really care for his appearance. Well in a way that was kind of true, Phin was just ‘naturally beautiful’, at least that was how he put it. But he kind of felt like he was disrespecting Alex by showing up in such a state. And he hadn’t meant to do that at all. He was just excited that they were going to get to hang out again and didn’t realize that he was kind of bloodied up and well didn’t really care much either. The truth was Phin had barely felt his little scrapes and bruises besides the ones on his hands. And that was just because Phin had actually had to use them to carry the ice cream. If he hadn’t, he probably wouldn’t have noticed those either. Phin was just indestructible.
When Alex reached for the ice cream Phin allowed her to take them from him and he followed her inside after grabbing his skateboard up from the ground of course. It wasn’t until she spoke again that Phin realized he hadn’t said anything. He felt himself laugh a bit at her train comment. He had hardly been hit by a train. But there was little doubt in his mind that getting hit by a train would have stopped him from going over there that night. “Oh come on Alex. That train just came out of nowhere I swear!” He just grinned widely and laughed it off. How anybody could grin and laugh as much as he did was just beyond anybody’s comprehension. It was a good thing that he had never had to be interrogated or asked to appear in court or anything serious like that because Phin would just smile the whole time. He’d probably do it without even meaning too. Smiling was just his defense mechanism for absolutely everything, even when he wasn’t being attacked he had it up. Because who would want to attack such a bright kid? Fortunately this group didn’t include many people. If it did, Phin would be in a whole lot of trouble. “It’s just a few scrapes, I get them all the time you know that.”
As Alex moved to go put the ice cream away, Phin followed slowly behind her, taking in his surroundings. That was something he did often when nobody was looking. He would just kind of look around and examine everything around him. It had kind of become a habit for him. He followed her into the kitchen and stood there, leaning up against the counter. He was so absorbed in his examining that he didn’t even notice when she looked back at him. When she spoke again he snapped back to attention and looked at her. Seeing her little med kit, Phin felt himself laugh again. “Really Alex?” He shook his head as he continued to look at her and laughed some more. “It really isn’t a big deal kiddo. You don’t need to fix me up or anything. It’s just some scratches. Nothing too severe.” When her eyes locked onto his Phin realized he wasn’t going to get anywhere so he might as well have started explaining. Not that his story really involved a lot of explaining. But he might as well have had a little fun right? “Okay, well I was walking down the street. Repping Vegas hardcore. And these haters from New York were like BITCH IT’S ALL ABOUT THE EAST COAST. and I was like AWH HELL NAW. And I took on all eight of them right there. I totally won the fight.” Phin could barely keep a straight face as he told the story. And when he finished he just grinned widely at her. The story was just so preposterous. First of all, Phin wouldn’t be ‘repping Vegas’. sure he loved his hometown and everything, but he wasn’t exactly proud of being from there. Oh yeah, and Phin would never get into a fight over something so foolish. And eight guys? Phin could barely argue with people, let alone get physically violent with them. “Just kidding of course. I was just skateboarding. And I fell a couple of times. Promise.” younglovex @ CAUTION 2.0 tag: alex ! outfit: clickeh!lyric credit: i gotta feeling - black eyed peas. word count: one thousand six hundred and six ! notes: awh! i missed thee as well! :] ahahah they really are just so crazy. :] i love them and their crazinessssss.[/ul]

H e ll o w o rld my n a m e i s Tr o u bl e ... a k aAlexandra** TUCKER**ALL along, I'm calling your name It could have been a perfectly happy little reunion between the two of them that night. Like one of those cheesy 80's TV shows where all the little uniformly peppy kids named Katie, Jack, and Ben all jumped around and asked about moms and dads and how the dog was doing and such. They would have sat down and ate pop corn and talked long into the night with their little boring movies playing until a proper little house mom walked in and without a word switched off the light just to have them all lay down and go to sleep. Yes it could have gone something very along those lines indeed. That is if it hadn't involved, Phineas, Alex, or the 21st century that is. And maybe perhaps a much younger, and innocent version of her may have tried that a couple of times with friends. But by now? No, Alex had never hoped for any of those boring old things once she had answered the door to see her large crazy friend standing there. That would be self deception alright. As they hugged happily Alex laughed at his commenting
Well that's fantabulous to hear! An alright sounds easy enough to me, but only as long as you don't call me babushka! Cute name and all but it just makes me think of old little women and while i am little if you're saying I'm old.....well that's not nice
She came out of the hug with a slight pout teasing her lips as her brows pinched a tiny bit, though she was trying hard to hold onto the look without breaking down into giggles. Old grannies were not her cup of tea for nick name references she realized. But oh she hadn't been so happy to hug someone since her eldest brother had come back from the war not too long ago, not nearly this happy however. It was like getting sunshine after a long and damp stormy season. You may not have the full feeling of happiness at first due to the fact taht you had been just missing it for too long, but at some point you'd get over that. Too bad Mr. Not Perfect here had to go and start loosing blood on her, or continue to in this case, which just freaked her right out of that thinking. Shooting her straight from happy bubbly friend into one with some massive issues with blood. Honestly it was just one of those instinctual things she had around people. After placing the ice cream where it would hopefully stay in a frozen form and getting out all the stuff she needed she turned back to Phineas and released the breath she hadn't meant to be holding.
Trains...
She couldn't hep giggling at the image of his skinny form being tossed hundreds of feet by the mass of black metal shooting through the street of town randomly. It was kind of like a Mickey Mouse old cartoon thing with things just way out of proportion, the train actually having a devilish smirk and the....woah ok there now don't loose your head with daydreaming darling. Alex stopped her giggling though when Phineas commented for the second time on how he really wasn't all too hurt, and how these things always happened to him, which she really couldn't argue with in any way. He was right of course, she knew just as well as him that he did this kind of stuff all the time and she really should be use to it by now. She chewed on her lip and looked down in frustration for a bit. God if there was one thing she hated more than anything in the world it was being like her own mother. Putting the band aids on the counter and raising her hands to level with her shoulders in a defeated stance she sighed, managing to smile a tad though with all things considered.
Fine, fine I'll try and contain my freaking out. I....I just really don't like seeing, or even thinking about, the people I care bout getting hurt, ya know? I don't know maybe I'm just a little weirder than i had thought
She tilted her head a bit to the side, clearing her paint flecked bangs out of the way so that she could smile timidly up at where he was now standing quite normally, with all limbs there and his usual cocky smile in place. Gosh was he a goofball. Sighing to herself she shook her head and was about to ask him seriously if she could just get him washed up a bit when it struck her that he really hadn't told her what had happened. After asking him so she crossed her arms and leaned a bit so that her hip was against the counter and her weight was being held by it quite comfortably, in her usual relaxed stance. She noted that for a second this little, little as in the kind of thing that your mind may have just made up, glimmer came to his eyes. Eww story time was here it seemed! As he launched into his short heroic tale of fighting and representing his home town through ridiculous actions she couldn't help the smile growing on her features until she was covering her mouth to keep from outright laughing at it, after all she didn't want to be the only one laughing when the kid himself was keep such a straight face.
Just the kind of story she would be expecting out of him. Letting loose a tiny giggle she just shoot her head and bit her lower lip a bit with her smile peeping from behind it. Gosh wasn't he something? She honestly at the moment couldn't decide why her emotions were running all over the place but she really would have just liked to tackle the kid and not let go ever again. She felt like if she didn't she might not get to the chance again, and that's when it hit her. The reason she was enjoying this so much and happy for it's happening was because in the back of her mind she had actually kind of thought about life without.....sappiness was not befitting of her. Covering her eyes for a moment as she rubbed at them wearily for a moment she decided whatever she had thought didn't matter now, it was alright because he was here now right? Yeah she needed to stop freaking out and just settle down for a bit, because the time for that had passed along with her little family visit. What had happened to their movie night huh?
Alrighty well I'll believe you were just being generally klutzy as usual, but you're going to have to come over here and let me fix you up a bit ok? ...... or I mean. If you want to do it yourself your perfectly capable of it.
She had been standing there, patting on the counter top when the thought hit her that maybe she was being just a tad bit too motherly and considering the kind of crazy folk Mr. Phin made company with it might just be a tad odd? In any case she decided her being over bearing about such a small issue probably wasn't the best thing to do at the moment so instead she just sighed off her instincts and held out her hands filled with the little random assortment of things he'd need for his own little stuff before snorting lightly. She just had to go and pick the odd ones to be her friends didn't she?
