Phineas Andrew Lee !AND YOU'VE GOT ME ALMOST FIGURED OUT there's almost nothing left to see YOU'RE BRINGING OUT THE BEST IN ME.- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -The sun was not a welcome entity in Phin’s life on that particular morning…erm afternoon. The previous night had been spent at various parties ingesting all kinds of foreign substances that shouldn’t have been in his body. And Phin was definitely feeling it’s after-affects on that particular day. His head lay against the cool material and it was practically throbbing. He had a disgusting taste in his mouth and he could immediately tell that he had thrown up the night before. Yuck. His body moved and he turned around to face the other way and try and hide from the offensive rays of the sun. But it was no use; all the shades on all the windows in his room were open. Phin knew that one of his band mates had probably left the shades over the windows open on purpose because they thought torturing him was amusing. Most days he would acknowledge that he deserved this torture, but right now the sunshine was just plain mean. The drummer attempted to hide from the bright lights under his tie-dye sheets and blanket, but that didn’t help either. Well now this light was just taunting him. Phin groaned loudly and was reduced to a fetal position under his several blankets.
Phin was kind of a baby when it came to hangovers, but he didn’t often get them anyway. He wasn’t really a big drinker. Sure he loved his beer as much as the next guy, usually he’d only have one or two and he was set for the night. He was more of a marijuana fan. Alcohol was more of Astoria’s scene. No matter how much Phineas despised her addiction. Oh well, he was just going to have to keep trying to get her to quit. Phin turned over in his sheets again and let out a huffing noise. He really was going to have to get up sooner or later. Phin would have preferred later, because his headache may fade a bit, but he knew that sleep wasn’t going to come back to him. He thought about just sending a text to Astoria and telling her to just come in and cuddle with him, but when he felt around for his phone he couldn’t find it he just groaned loudly again. He struggled underneath the warmth of his blankets for a minute but a second later he swung his legs over the side of the bed and placed them on the ground next to his bed.
Suddenly a rush of pain overtook his head, and he clutched it with a tan hand. He flinched for a second, but ignored the pain and rose from his bed anyway. He probably would have been in better shape if he had taken the whole ‘getting up’ thing a little slower, but doing things slow on purpose just wasn’t Phin’s style. He shook the platinum blonde hair on his head back and forth a little and made his way over to the first window. In one swift movement he pulled the string and the shade shut, already drastically decreasing the amount of light in the room. He let out a small sigh of relief and quickly moved to shut the rest of the shades and finally find a dark solace. Once the last shade was shut Phin sighed again, but grabbed a pair of his sunglasses off of the dresser anyway. He pulled them over his eyes and stumbled his way towards the door, picking up his phone as he did. When he finally pulled the door open he was immediately hit with that bright sunlight. Ew. His band mates had managed to drag him out of bed that morning, so they were going to have to deal with him for an extra three hours that day. Noon was just an unholy hour to wake up. What even happened before three in the afternoon anyway?
The door to Phin’s room was pulled shut behind his skinny form, and he made his way down the stairs and into the kitchen. To optimize his annoyingness that day he was definitely going to need some nourishment. You couldn’t be irritating on an empty stomach! That just wasn’t how things worked around here. The house was an eerie kind of quiet. It was the kind of quiet where you could tell that nobody else was there, and if they were they were DEAD ASLEEP. Phin had to admit his disappointment at their absences, but he would just have to wait to begin his rampage of annoying. He would be patient for the time being. But in the mean time, pancakes! The food that could automatically lift your spirits! Even if you were hung over and groggy and your band mates were mean. Phin pulled out the mix and a pan and immediately set to work. He was so engrossed in his cooking that he didn’t notice when somebody else entered the kitchen. --- i'll be there when you close your eyes ,. ( HOLD YOU TIGHT, SAY GOODNIGHT ) the alarm clock on astoria's phone had gone off at seven in the morning. she groaned as she rolled over in her bed, her face smashed in the pillow. her hand touched something warm and she felt a rough tongue scraping against the back of her arm. she giggled and scratched the head of her puppy, oliver. she turned her head to look at her puppy. his wrinkles were adorable. she had him for only a month and he was cute. she loved him like he was her baby and if anyone bothered him in the house, she would kick their asses. she pulled of her purple sheets and sat up in bed, her blond hair falling over her shoulders. instantly, a sharp pain filled her head and she flinched. "Ugh! Hangover," she growled. and flopped back down on her back, pulling oliver close to her chest and snuggling the puppy.
he whined and pawed at her chest and she sighed, forcing herself to sit back up. she picked him up beneath his forepaws and held him up to her face. "Aww, baby. You want to go on a walk?" she cooed. she smiled and planted a kiss on his muzzle. stori rolled off the bed and made her way sleepily to the window. she rested her hands on her hips and stared out the window of the house before she slowly made her way back to the bed and looked down, oliver crawling his way towards her. she giggled and picked up the little bulldog, setting him on the ground. he was so tiny and it surprised her. stori made her way towards the bathroom connected to her room and went straight to the closet, digging through clothes. she was always so unsure of what to wear. she decided on a pair of grey sweats and a blue hoodie. she quickly pulled it over the white tank top and zipped it up.
she grabbed her iPhone off the charger from the counter and and slipped it into her pocket. she went into the closet and took oliver's leash off the door where it hung and called to the puppy, trying to be quiet so she didn't wake anyone up. he waddled his way over to her and she bent down to clip the leash onto his collar and picked him up, cradling him in her arms as she exited her room and made her way down the stairs, trying to find a way not to fall as she peeped over the top of her puppy's head. she found herself leaving the house and locked the door behind her, setting oliver down on the ground. as they trotted along down the path around the neighborhood. she laughed as he waddled, moving as quickly as his stout legs would carry him. he was quite the entertaining little puppy. quite possibly twenty minutes later, they found themselves back at the house. it seemed like all her band mates had left, seeing as no cars were in the driveway or anything.
she knew most of them left this morning to go out and hit the town early and do some last minute christmas shopping. as she entered the house, the smell of food hit her in the face and her hangover hit her in the mind again. she groaned and leaned over to unclip oliver's leash before watching him bound into the kitchen. she tossed the leash at the foot of the stairs and followed him into the kitchen where she saw Phin standing at the stove cooking. her heart beat faster when she saw him. she was in love with him, after all. she came up behind him and wrapped her arms around his waist, leaning her head on his shoulder. "Hi hun! Can you make me breakfast too?" she asked him in her cutest voice. she hated cooking breakfast especially because she was usually half asleep. she smiled and planted a small kiss on his cheek.
she pulled away and went over to the pantry where she pulled out a bag of puppy food for Oliver. his dish sat near the back sliding door and she put it up on the counter. she quickly poured the food into the bowl and set it back down on the ground before she picked up the bowl and filled it with clean water before setting it down as well. she put the dog food away and made her way back to phin. she wrapped her arms around him again and grinned happily. she liked him a lot and she wasn't sure what to do about it, but she had those feelings for quite some time. "How did your evening go? I didn't see you at all."

Phineas Andrew Lee !AND YOU'VE GOT ME ALMOST FIGURED OUT there's almost nothing left to see YOU'RE BRINGING OUT THE BEST IN ME.- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Blueberry pancakes. It was the true breakfast of champions. The people at that Wheaties Company were totally lying when they said their cereal was. Cereal is lame, especially compared to the fluffy deliciousness that pancakes are. As Phin turned the flat breakfast food over and over in the pan he began to whistle to himself softly. He didn’t have the best whistling skills, but honestly who did? Phin had never met anybody who was really spectacular at whistling. So he was unashamed at his lack of skill in that area. As Phin turned a pancake over to allow it to get a golden brown color all over, he noticed some smeared blue ink on his hand. With a peaked curiosity, Phin took a little closer at it. It was a phone number; there was no doubt about that. But some of the numbers were smudged and hard to read. Oh well. It wasn’t like he was going to call it anyway even if he could read it. Calling? Phineas? Psh no. That just didn’t happen. This particular drummer was all about sitting back and letting the ladies and quite a few gentlemen come to him, and it had always seemed to work for him. So why would he go and try and fix something that wasn’t broken and actually call them? They probably wouldn’t be all that great in bed anyway. Phin would prefer not to waste his time and pretend to be interested in them.
Phin was putting the batter on for his fourth pancake when Astoria made her presence known to him. When Phin felt the pair of arms around his waist he practically leapt out of his skin. The grip of the hand on the pan that was being held over the over tightened and Phin stopped all movement. He didn’t move to attack or anything, but he was certainly ready if the need arose. Phin could feel one big wave of relief come over him when he heard Astoria’s voice. Good, because Phin wasn’t really in the mood to use his awesome government-taught ninja moves today. “Why sure I can make you some honey bunches of oats.” His cheeks burned a little when she placed a kiss on his cheek, but barely enough to be noticed and not enough to be worth mentioning. But for Phin, he felt like his cheeks were trapped in some kind of crazy inferno.
Phin almost pouted a bit when Astoria let go of him to go tend to her dog. He hadn’t known the dog long, but Phin just loved it. Oliver was just a little bundle of joy. But surprisingly enough when she let go of him, his heart rate didn’t return to normal. If the pace of the muscle was affected at all, it increased drastically. Phin liked Astoria. Phin liked Astoria a lot. Detecting his crush on his fellow Containment band member hadn’t been hard at all. The sweaty palms, increased heart rate, and inability to think clearly in her presence had given that away to Phin quite quickly. Actually admitting his affections to her was proving to be the hard part. Admitting it to anybody was turning out to be the hard part. It should have been pretty obvious. He acted differently around Astoria than he did around most girls. He was a tad more respectful and empathetic towards her. If you couldn’t see it, then you were probably crazy and not paying very close attention. As obvious as it was, the only one that Phin had really talked about his crush to was Mel. And even then she had to confront him about it first, and she wasn’t too happy with it.
As Astoria went about her business feeding the dog, Phin grabbed another plate out of one of the cabinets before moving to finish cooking their breakfast. He was almost done with the last one when he felt her arms around his waist again, and a small smile rose up onto his mouth. “Well judging by my pounding headache and the phone number on the back of my hand I would say that my evening went quite nicely.” Phin didn’t make any kind of movement to check the smeared ink on the back of his hand again. There wasn’t really a point. Phin checked either side of the pancake that currently sat atop the hot pan, and when he was finally satisfied with the color, he dropped the burning food on top of one of the stacks of pancakes next to the stove. In one swift movement Phin shut off the stove and placed put the pan down. He turned around and slipped his arms around Astoria’s waist and gave her a toothy grin. “What about you?” astoria! outfit: clickeh!lyric credit: best in me - sherwood. word count: eight hundred and ten ! notes: RAWRAWRAWRAWR ![/ul]

--- i'll be there when you close your eyes ,. ( HOLD YOU TIGHT, SAY GOODNIGHT ) stori watched as her puppy nibbled his food. she was worried about him being too small and she sometimes questioned his eating habits. he wasn't a pig like most dogs she saw in her lifetime, which was rather surprising. she watched him before turning her attention back to phin. god, she hated how adorable he was, especially in the morning. she really liked him a lot and it wasn't hard to see, well no...it was. she hid it really well. after all, those years of taking acting classes definitely weren't going to waste, especially when she was hiding her feelings for a boy she loved. she hated when people told her she didn't know what love was. she had enough flings and relationships to know what it felt like, but sadly, she feared phin wouldn't feel the same way about her. after all, phin loved his girls and it worried her, but she tried to forget about it.
she gave him a fake pout, not wanting stupid cereal. she had always hated cereal. there was no doubt in her mind that even phineas knew that. then again, it was phin and there was no knowing what he knew. she shrugged and wrapped her arms around his waist. it always felt so right when she was with him and she was sad that she didn't know how he felt about her. she pushed the thoughts away and kept herself focused on him. his reply to her question made her heart skip a beat. she always hated hearing about him and other girls and it bothered her when she couldn't say anything because it was not like they were together and he didn't know how she felt about him, so how could he possibly think he was hurting her? she forced a smile. she chuckled, though it sounded kind of painful, but she hoped he wouldn't notice it too much. she glanced up at his face and it warmed her heart. he was too adorable and she was happy they were at least friends.
he turned off the stove and slipped his arm around her waist and she felt warm against him and she looked up at him, her blue eyes searching his for any sign of affection, but she couldn't read him. she never could. that was probably astoria's biggest problem. she sucked at reading other peoples' emotions or feelings or facial expressions. she smirked and thought about a clever response, but she had none. "Well, I partied, chased away guys, and slept with my baby, Oliver. I have a shitty hangover so judging by that, I didn't have very much to drink," she giggled. She pulled him towards the table, sitting herself down. she had to be honest, the thoughts that crossed her mind whenever she was near phin weren't the purest or cleanest, but she wouldn't just blurt them out. she hated sleeping around because each time she did, all she could see was phin and it made her want him even more. "What are you doing today?" she asked him.

Phineas Andrew Lee !AND YOU'VE GOT ME ALMOST FIGURED OUT there's almost nothing left to see YOU'RE BRINGING OUT THE BEST IN ME.- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -“That’s my girl. You tell those stupid boys with their stupid boy penises to stay away from you.” Phin let out a few chuckles, but somewhere deep down inside he was being serious. He would chase them away from her if the need arose. Whenever he saw a male conversing with Astoria, even if it was just a casual conversation between friends a pang of jealousy hit him square in the chest. He really didn’t have a reason to be jealous. Well his crush on the singer didn’t really count as a reason. It wasn’t like they were dating or she had promised herself to him or anything. They were just friends, but Phin couldn’t help it. Who did those stupid boys think they were anyway? They couldn’t make her happy. At least they couldn’t make her as happy as Phin could. He just needed a chance. Just one little chance and if she wasn’t the happiest she ever had been Phin would step back. He’d quit Containment if she wanted him to. And that was saying a lot, because he wouldn’t even quit for Mel. That band really did mean a lot to him, even if he hadn’t originally been one of its founding members. But Phin wasn’t quite sure how he was supposed to tell Astoria that. He wasn’t exactly the best conversationalist anyway, and this wasn’t exactly a casual subject.
Phin laughed as she described her night a bit more to him. “Well I’m glad that you didn’t have severe amounts to drink. Gold star for improvement! I will make sure to get some today.” A cheesy grin spread across Phin’s face. He could be such a dork sometimes, but you really had to love him. “I wish I hadn’t drank that much. I fail this exercise.” A lip protruded into a pout and Phin laid his head down on top of Astoria’s head for a few seconds. The pounding in his head froze and Phin had a few seconds of relief. The pounding in his chest was a different story all together. But Phin was willing to accept that. He pulled his head back up and grinned at Astoria once again. A second later he was being pulled towards the table. He made sure to grab the two plates off of the counter before he allowed himself to be led to the table. Phin’s grip around Astoria’s waist loosened and he allowed her to drop into a chair and he placed one of the stacks of pancakes in front of her. He dropped the other stack on the table right next to her and pulled a chair so it sat close to her. He moved to one of the cabinets and pulled a large bottle of syrup from it. Phin sat in the seat and immediately started to dig into his pancakes.
To be quite frank Phin hadn’t even taken into consideration what he might be doing that day. Because originally he had planned on waking at three and then going back to sleep if nothing interesting was happening like a show or a good party. And if he had gotten up then he would have just gone skateboarding like any other day. But nooooo, somebody had to open all the shades in his room and wake him up at an unholy hour. Phin hadn’t taken into consideration that it might have been him who had opened the shades last night in a drunken stupor. Phin tended to do dumb stuff like that when he was wasted. Have you ever skateboarded into a pool nude in the middle of a party? Well Phin had. And he had the photographs to prove it…somewhere. It had been funny; at least it had been until the pictures resurfaced. Then it wasn’t quite as amusing. Well…kind of. Either way, Phin found himself with absolutely nothing to do that day. “I haven’t really thought about it yet.” Phin cut another bite out of a syrup soaked pancake and shoved it into his mouth. A second later he brought his eyes back to Astoria. “What about you?” astoria! outfit: clickeh!lyric credit: best in me - sherwood. word count: seven hundred and twelve ! notes: awh! that is okay! it happens sometimes =D[/ul]
