I'm so tired of being here
Suppressed by all my childish fears
It had been another restless night for Vivian, another night that she was haunted by dreams of him. She now stared at the white abyss, known as the ceiling, as the morning light creeped in through her window and enveloped half her bed in its light. A moment passed, while she stayed under the covers and stared. Vivian has dreamt of him, for the past few days and cannot quite understand why. She let out a groan, as she threw one of the pillows over her face. "Damn you, Henry.." she said to herself, mostly muffled by the pillow. Yes, he had a name and it was Henry. Her ex-boyfriend, and the guy who stole her heart - as well as her innocence. Even though she said no to him, he took what he wanted and raped her. She could feel tears threatening to form, as the memory appeared in her mind and haunted her once more.
He had threatened to kill her in her sleep, if she told someone. A threat she didn't listen to. She ended up telling her dad about it, and he called the police. Good thing she was alone here, nobody can hear her as she started to sob. Vivian hated feeling like this, feeling weak and emotional. The pillow muffled her sobs.
She remembered that she slept with a knife, that night, in case a certain visitor made an appearance. Vivian lived in fear for a little while after that, and her father noticed. She went to live with her grandparents for a while, until she had to come back to testify at Henry's trial. Even after the trial was done, she still worried quite a bit that he might escape and go through with his threat. Vivian removed the pillow from her tear-streaked face, then sat up. She was wearing a black tank and sweatpants. She couldn't help but shiver a little bit, as she threw back the covers and then set both of her feet onto the hardwood floor. It was a little cold.
Vivian needed to get out today and do something, or she'll begin crawling up the walls. She stood up, stretching her arms up over her head and softly sighed. A few moments came and went, then she headed towards the bathroom. The hot water felt very good, it helped soothe her aching muscles and what not. She soon was out of the shower and back in her bedroom, her hair damp and a towel wrapped around her body. Vivian crossed to her closet and threw open the doors, going through her clothes.
Soon enough, she was dressed and mostly ready for anything. A moment passed, as she looked at herself in the full-length mirror. She wore a red, sleeveless top that hugged all her curves, a pair of jeans, and a black sweater to keep her warm. She slowly took a deep breath, going back into the bathroom to blow-dry her hair and put on some light makeup. Vivian tried to figure out where to go around here, then remembered her im conversation with Lucy. A smile played at her lips, wondering if she will ever meet the girl who talked with her - in the flesh. She had mentioned the cliffs, a place that sounded really good at the moment.
And if you have to leave
I wish that you would just leave
I wish that you would just leave
So, it was settled. She was going to visit the cliffs, there's no use in changing her mind now. Her nails were all painted simply black, it seems to fit her mood today. Her skull pendant was next to her skull scarf, both sitting on top of her dresser. She put both things on, wrapping her scarf around her waist like a belt. She took one more look in the mirror and took a deep breath. She felt ready to go out and do something. Without hesitation, Vivian walked right out and locked the front door behind her.
'Cause your presence still lingers here
And it won't leave me alone
And it won't leave me alone
Soon enough, she was there standing at the cliffs. Lucy was very right about mentioning this place. Vivian liked it, she can possibly see herself coming here again to get away from it all. A cool wind blew past her and ruffled her dark locks a little. She bit her lower lip and looked out at the sight before her. You could see for quite a bit, the sight was a thing to behold. She sat there looking at it, her chin rested upon her knees and both of her arms were lightly wrapped her legs. But even here, the memories of Henry and the pain he has caused still haunt her a bit - but from afar.
