.xAlexandra Tuckerx. And it only took a look to see that everything we wanted could never be.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.
So there were a few twigs in her hair, a little bruising on her knees and a insignificant cut on her ankle. Yet Alex was standing on top of the world for once. For all of her slight misery on the way over here you might as well have handed her a Noble for how she was short of breath and almost tearing standing upon the rough, rubble strewn shore line below the cliffs she had just pushed herself to climb down for the past half hour. She merely stood there with her hands on her hips staring straight ahead, kinda of in a daze still because she had finally finally found her perfect place on the island. Alex was also ecstatic to find that no one else seemed to be around because that would have just ruined the whole experience.
But she had finally found a place where, for once, she could shed of the depression and fear she usually carried with her through town. She was simply comforted all of a sudden by the torrential downfall of crystal blue water from this random place along the island's outskirts. As she watched birds began to spin and twirl from tree to tree, replacing the sound of the usual deafening music in town with their slight whistles and twitters that in itself made music that Alexandra was sure she could never understand. So she was finally here at this special place and she had no idea what to do with herself. She knew that at some point Arren would freak at her leaving the house with no heads up(except for a rather short note saying "I'll be gone today") and therefore running amuck freaking out about her where abouts.
Alex's head hung a little as she glanced at her feet scuffing the rocks she was on slightly. But his panic wold be her fault wouldn't it. "if i had jus..." She took off running for the water at that, she was never never going to bring that up to herself again. She barely noticed the ground her tennis shoes were touching as she ran, as she went from rock to vegetation to more rock. Suddenly though she was smiling as she noticed another little cliff rising in front of her, only water behind it. And so she ran, faster and faster and.....then she was sailing. A shrill shriek ripped from her smiling lips as she felt the tug of gravity pull her figure down toward the sparkling azure waters. So she tucked her knees to her chest. Held them with one arm and hit the water like a stone.
The sudden rush of the ice cold water had Alex struggling to keep from gasping as she sunk quickly into the perfect blue waters. How could something stay so cold when the air was so hot!? But after sinking as far as she would Alex just looked up and began stroking to get back up to the surface. Which wasn't as easy with full clothing on, but she made it at least. Finally breaking back up to the surface Alex gasped in a huge breath of fresh air and giggled at nothing in particular. Catching her breath again Alex treaded slowly as she glanced back in the direction of the waterfall a good 15 yards from where she had jumped. She had to tilt her head back to see the beginning of the waterfall before she realized how HUGE the thing was. It struck her for a moment that if she had chosen to jump from there....ouch!
But she was tugged back from her little thoughts by the tug of her soaked, shoes, jeans and shirt...oh yeah it was just a little more weight then she was used to on her little frame. Sighing to herself she easily began breath stroking to a little sandy beach like area. It took her a minute but she smoothly pulled herself onto it before plopping herself down sitting, still with her ankles resting in water. But she had done it. Alex couldn't help the smile as she reached down and untied her tennies. Who in the world would have thought that the best escape from life was jumping off little cliffs? Alex just smiled and shook her head as she pulled off the first shoe and moved onto the next. A crack of a branch behind her however made her freeze and spin around wide eyed...there wouldn't be any of the islanders here would there? This just wasn't their forte.
He...Hello? Is som...someone out there?
She could have shot herself for sounding so small and scared with that shake in her voice, but she was still shivering from the water. Being in the shade hadn't exactly warmed her up but she still was shocked by her voice shaking. Waiting for a moment and getting no immediate answer Alex sighed and turned slowly back around to focus on removing her other water logged shoe.

Phineas Andrew Lee !I've been sleeping with ghosts, I've been watching stars coming out of the sky. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -For the first time in a long time, after Phineas Andrew Lee had finished his daily breakfast of blueberry pancakes, he found himself with absolutely nothing to do. Normally he had at least one thing on his agenda that he could plan his day around, but as he sat at the table searching his brain he came up with nothing. They didn’t have a show, and he didn’t have anybody that he had promised to hang out with or a date. So as usual on the rare occasions when Phineas found himself with nothing to do, he made the decision that he’d spend his day wandering the island. Finny had always loved to wander, even when he was just a child he had the tendency to wander from his mother or from his home. Phineas pulled himself from the chair he sat in and quickly decided that today he’d wander on his skateboard, because walking was over rated. As Phineas drifted down the streets eh passed numerous shops and places that he made mental notes to go back and visit eventually. But for some reason nothing was really catching his fancy that day.
By the time Phineas had to stop he found himself at the cliffs. The cliffs were probably the most intimidating feature of the island to Phineas and probably most other people. They were big and rocky, and incredibly dangerous looking. Phineas had been meaning to visit one day and examine it, because he had to climb down at least once by the time he was allowed to leave the island. And as Phineas stared down the rocky cliffs, he figured why not let it be today? Phineas stepped on one end of his skateboard and picked it up with the opposite hand. He tucked it under his arm and began his descent down the rocky cliffs. The skateboard proved to be an obstacle, but one that Phineas easily ignored. When Phineas finally reached the bottom of the cliffs he was a little out of breath. You couldn't possibly expect a boy that skinny to be in perfect shape. But despite his slight increase in heart rate, Phineas continued walking. He didn't really know where he was going. It didn't really matter. Somehow Phineas always managed to find his way back home. He didn't see why just because he was on an island that should be any different. So he set out on his merry way, occasionally stopping to take a closer look at a tree or even just a leaf. Phineas was odd like that. He could literally take pleasure in everything, whether it was some small and miniscule detail or the bigger picture. To him, there was always something to be enjoyed and loved.
Just as Phineas had stopped to admire one of the particularly large trees closer to the bank he heard something. Phineas quickly made out that the sound he was hearing was laughter. He perked up at the thought of another person enjoying the splendor that was this large waterfall. Phineas suddenly forgot about the tree that he had been admiring and pushed his way toward the sound. He stopped for a split second when he spied someone on some kind of beach looking area. In the obvious Phineas manner he had full intentions of going right up to her and introducing himself. But then something stopped him. His eyes closed in a squint because for a split second he thought he recognized the girl. His hunch was confirmed when he recognized the girl as Alex from his own bands crew! Phineas may have been excited if it had been a stranger, but because it was someone he knew he was doubly excited. That meant he could sneak up on her and not get in as much trouble! At least, that was what he assumed, but Finny had been wrong about these things on more than one occasion.
Right when Phineas reached a bush that he could duck behind he dropped his skateboard. Phineas had to resist the urge to curse loudly as the board landed on a twig, snapping the poor thing in two. The board seriously wasn't even that heavy, how did it just slip out of his hand like that?! The noise was deafening to him, and clearly Alex had noticed it too. The shake in her voice almost made him emerge from his hiding space with thousands of apologies. But instead he stood as still as he possibly could. He didn't even make an attempt to pick up his skateboard. He was relieved when she finally turned back around; probably thinking it was just an animal or something. Phineas turned his gaze towards the skateboard he had dropped on the ground. He could pick it up and continue his trek. But that probably would have made even more unwanted noise. So Phineas decided to abandon it for the time being. He could return to it when he was done with his mission of sneaking up on Alex.
Phineas finally emerged from the bush he was standing behind and stopped for a moment. He had to make sure he didn’t have to duck behind the bush again if Alex thought there was something strange about the rustling behind her. His hands slipped around her face and covered her eyes. "Guess who!" His tone was cheerful in an attempt to show that he didn’t mean any harm by sneaking up on here like he was. He just needed to do something to pull him out of that funk that his mood was currently pulling him into. Phineas just prayed to whatever higher being there was in the world that Alex would recognize his voice and not hit him or something. Because if she didn't, he would probably be in a lot of trouble. Alex did look like she had a mean left hook. And if she decided to tell her brother, Arren probably had an even meaner left hook. At the thought of Arren’s anger, Phineas decided against having Alex guess. He let his hands drop from her eyes and moved to he was next to her at the bank. “Hi Alex.” His signature was currently blessing his features, displaying that he was happy to see someone other than himself up in the secluded spot. Phineas Andrew Lee !I've been sleeping with ghosts, I've been watching stars coming out of the sky. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Phineas wasn’t surprised when Alex shot up with her hands outstretched. Phineas had snuck up on enough people to predict the reactions of his victims. Not that they even counted as victims. The fright was only meant to last a moment, or at most a few minutes considering the jumpiness of the other person. And normally that was what happened. After all, his jokes or pranks were all supposed to be in good fun. They weren’t meant to permanently scar people or ruin lives or anything. But as usual, Phineas hadn’t considered all the factors before he had decided to act. Phineas hadn’t really taken into consideration that because they were in such a secluded area he might actually frighten her, not just scare her a little bit.
Phineas grinned widely when Alex guessed his name correctly. “You’re right!” Phineas opened his mouth to strike up a conversation with the one he considered to be one of his favorite crew members when he noticed something that perplexed him slightly. Alex hadn’t let out that sigh of relief signaling that she wasn’t still freaked out that he had snuck up on her. Normally when Phineas or just about anybody else snuck up on people, there was a very particular sequence of events that followed. Normally they would freak out. Honestly who wouldn’t? The whole thing was definitely creepy. But then when the realized that it wasn’t a total stranger they would probably yell or be like ‘Oh man! Did you get me or did you get me?’, and then came the sigh of relief. The sigh that signaled their initial panic was over and done with. It didn’t matter which person it was or where the sigh was placed, that signature sigh was always the same. But she hadn’t yelled at him, or said anything signaling that she was okay. She had only said his name.
When Phineas saw the state that his friend was in, he literally felt his heart drop into his stomach. That silly grin that he always wore across his features faded away for the first time in probably two years. He felt like sliding back into the wooded area, crouching against the nearest tree and disappearing. What kind of heartless asshole was he anyway? He had realized that they were in an extremely secluded area. He understood how many creepers probably hung out in extremely secluded areas. But for some reason neither of those thoughts had crossed his mind. God, sometimes Phineas really hated that he was such a jackass all the time. “Alex I…” Phineas couldn’t bring himself to speak up and apologize. He wanted to, and he wanted to tell her that he was a jerk and he should have done that and that he wasn’t thinking, but the rights words didn’t come to mind. Instead he sat there in the bank, watching her with shocked eyes and stumbling over his attempts at apologizing. “I…uhm…Alex…I…God I’m so dumb.” Phineas reached a hand up and rubbed his face a little. He hadn’t done that in a while. Well obviously he rubbed his face when he was washing it or when it was itchy, but the purpose was different. Rubbing his face was something Phineas did when he was perplexed or upset in any way. And he had his default setting as happiness for so long that that habit had just ceased to exist, for a little while at least. But with the realization that he was such a loser than he couldn’t even apologize to her correctly and that the most he could manage was an insult he had directed at himself, the perplexed feeling returned with a vengeance.
When Phineas saw the tear fall from Alex’s face and hit the water, his heart fell even lower from the bottom of his stomach. It probably fell to the bottoms of his shoes, and if it could have sunk any lower it would have. At that point he just kind of wanted to stop existing all together. Well now he just felt like the biggest jerk-off jackass face in the world. He didn’t know he had scared her that much, once again with the assumptions. Finally Phineas managed to get out the apology that he had been trying to get right in his brain. “Oh my god Alex I’m so sorry I didn’t mean to scare you that bad. I actually didn’t mean to scare you at all I’m sorry.” Phineas scrambled from his sitting position to stand before he followed Alex into the water. He didn’t even notice that he was still wearing his shoes or anything. And if he had realized that he had been wearing them he wouldn’t have bothered pulling them off. That just would have ruined his apology. “Please don’t cry. I’m really sorry. Please don't hate me. Do you want me to leave?” Phineas waded a little further into the water until he stood in front of Alex, giving her enough room to count as her personal space of course. His arms went up from his sides and outstretched towards her in an unsure gesture. Phineas really only knew one way that could cheer up him at least without possibility of failure. “Hugs?” He didn’t just hug her without asking first. He didn’t want to scare here even more, and he wasn’t even sure if she really wanted him there anyway. Those thoughts just never occurred to him before he acted. Phineas was a foolish impulse thinker to the most extreme degree. .xAlexandra Tuckerx. And it only took a look to see that everything we wanted could never be.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.
Alex was a girl who had things planned out in life. She knew what she going to do when to do it and that was just simply how she was. She had been that way since she was a little kid and found out she didn't have as many problems when she had things figure out and that just made things easier. But ever since the accident she had been confused more and more as to what to do with herself. And this was one of those instances. Just standing there in the icy water she could only watch herself standing there, with her sock covered feet standing onto of the large stones covering the bottom of the pool of water. And she could not for the life of her figure out what she should do with Phin just standing there now.
A quick brushing off of the situation wasn't going to happen with her stupid eyes leaking like the faucet in Arren's bathroom. So all she could do was hope that Phineas was going to do something instead while she stood there in the knee deep water like an idiot. Wiping away the still fresh tears on her stinging cheek Alex looked up. "You’re right!" Her bright blue eyes flickered up to meet Phineas' gaze while he said this, and it immediately made her regret ever having come here today. For the short while that she had known the members of Containment she had learned to love that silly smile that this crazy kid was always wearing around. It reminded her of how her brothers had use to smile before life went all haywire, it was so carefree and wonderful that she would've died to hold onto that look forever.
And that smile had lingered on Phineas' face for a moment when he looked at her. It was only a moment though before she saw the shock of recognition on his face. She knew he was seeing a trembling girl, barely holding herself together in front of him. That realization on his face had a look of stunned remorse replacing it in a second. The smile gave way to a sad down turn as he sat there on the beach. And Alex couldn't help but bite harshly onto her lower lip knowing perfectly well why he wasn't looking his normal cheery self. She had surely freaked him out with her little reactions. Jeeze after all only freaks reacted like that to a friend covering their eyes. And indeed Alex felt like the freak under his gaze. Wringing her hands together in front of her Alex looked away off to her left, knowing she couldn't bring herself to look at such a sad face, one she knew, without breaking down.
But she couldn't just ignore Phineas after reacting how she had so sighing a bit she turned back to reply. "Alex i....I…uhm…Alex…I…God I’m so dumb.” Still caught with her mouth open for a reply Alex chocked on her own words hearing him. The words were way too close to what Arren had said that one night that she realized why seeing Phineas like this was so hard. She had caused this same exact reaction with so many people by now that her heart had become sore from her own effects. Feeling like she couldn't do anything Alex froze standing there to watch Phin battle with his own thoughts. A hand raised up to rub his face in a unfamiliar gesture. He looked tired all of a sudden to her, without his usual charming and mischievous smile...he looked so sad. "Oh my god Alex I’m so sorry I didn’t mean to scare you that bad. I actually didn’t mean to scare you at all I’m sorry." It felt funny to try an cry and shake her head at the same time but Alex did as Phineas walked up to her.
Watching him wade into the water all she wanted to do was toss her arms around him and tell him it was ok...that he had nothing to do with this and that this was just what she was, what she did. But after a few attempted tries of saying anything and only getting little choked whimpers she got frustrated at it even with everything going on and just bit onto that lip again, trying to just keep herself together. “Please don’t cry. I’m really sorry. Please don't hate me. Do you want me to leave?” Even though her was wading through the water still towards her the sudden thought of being alone like this, and having him walk off with this kind of feeling scared her. At least she could be alright by herself but seing him moping around because of her? It scared her to hurt people.
No! I.....i. Just don't go Phin. Please?
She stared up at him through hazy eyes and sighed at the desperate sound in her voice. It was sad to admit but she did need him to stay with her, at least to get this all settled out. Realizing the darn tears were letting up but not stopping she sniffed a little as he stopped to reach up with her own fist to wipe them away, what stupid little things they were. Once they were gone she smiled up a little at them. If she could keep them away for a while things would be better, she had to just keep that in her mind. “Hugs?” She watched, with a sad little half smile on her lips, as Phin reached out in a shy gesture for a hug.
She couldn't believe he was actually trying to comfort someone who had just had an episode on him but it was a good disbelief. She needed the hug anyway. So that she could prove he wasn't at blame here, to show he was forgiven, to show that she's be alright. So the little smile on her face grew a little more as she spread out her own hands and moved in closer to him. Although he was a little further then a comfortable step away she still reach out towards him thinking she'd just reach a little further and be ok. And to prove the fact that she was a clutz and the world hated her, the next rock she stepped on just happened to be covered with moss and she just had to fall straight against Phin with a little surprised yelp escaping her lip.....cuz that's just how she was.

Phineas Andrew Lee !I've been sleeping with ghosts, I've been watching stars coming out of the sky. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -That signature cheesy grin had always belonged to Phineas. When other people, whether it be friends or fans attempted to copy it, it simply didn’t look the same or even right at all. Not to mention that grin had always been a party of Finny’s features. Pictures from as far back as grade school would show him on a slide or on the swings with that big tooth filled grin. And sometimes there were pictures where it wasn’t a tooth filled grin, but it had that same cheeriness. So that smile had been bringing joy to other people practically since Phineas had been born. The unfortunate thing about the smile that Finny always held on his face was that a large majority of the time, it was one hundred percent fake. Well at least for the past few years it had been. Phineas didn’t do the whole sadness or anger thing anymore, and the only facial features he really had left were surprise, confusion, and the cheese grin. And well, it would have been weird if Phineas had walked around being surprise or confused all the time. So the only option he really had left was the cheese grin. But once in a while one of those moments came around where Phineas dropped it without even realizing it. And even if Phineas didn’t notice it, other people definitely did.
“Oh no! I won’t leave if you don’t want me to.” When Finny spoke his words were rushed and still filled with an unusual amount of concern. But Phineas had to admit that he was slightly relieved when Alex finally spoke to him. He hadn’t really expected her to, but the silence was starting to worry him ever so slightly. What if she was angry that he had scared her and didn’t want to talk to him again!? That would have made Phineas even more sad then he had been, considering that one he didn’t like it when people hated him and two he actually considered Alex to be a good friend. And nothing was worse than losing a good friend because you were being foolish. Not to mention that it would have been significantly awkward for both of them if she hated him considering they pretty much had to see each other either every day or every other day. What if he had scared her so bad that she wouldn’t have been able to talk anymore!? Now that would have been even more terrible than scaring her to the point of crying. It was a farfetched idea considering things like that didn’t happen often, but you never know.
But Phineas couldn’t fight off the facial mixture of confusion and surprise that passed through his face. Why would she want him to be there of all people? He had practically scared the living daylights out of her. If Phineas had been her in that moment, his face would have been the last thing he would have wanted to see. “I mean I just figured you wouldn’t want me here because I scared you cause I’m a jerk. And …yeah.” And then for some reason Phineas got completely tongue tied. He had had something else that he was going to say but for some unknown reason his brain just completely dropped what he was going to say. “Goddamn I’m a dork.” The corners of Phineas’ mouth twinged upwards so he was smiling once more. It wasn’t quite back to his infamous cheese grin, in fact if somebody knew the whole story that smile would have been better than the cheese grin. It was more sincere, and didn’t try so hard to cover up the fact that Phineas really did have feelings.
Phineas resisted the urge to raise his hand and wipe a few of her tears away himself, but he controlled his urge. He didn’t want to seem creepy or anything. Not that it would have been THAT creepy, but he once again, if Phineas were her at that point in time he wouldn’t want him touching her face or even there at all. Finny could practically feel his heart crawl back up to where it was supposed to be in his chest when Alex smiled again. Sure it wasn’t quite a full smile, but it was closer than what he had originally expected from her.
A quick flash of worry passed across Finny’s features when he saw Alex slip. Almost as if it was on impulse Phineas reached out in some kind of attempt to catch her. Fortunately she didn’t slip backwards and hit her head, and instead slipped towards Phineas and landed against his chest. And for a split second as Alex collided into him gently, a pink flush passed across his features. The flush was one there for a second before fading away quickly. Since the blush was so small it was practically unnoticeable. But for that split second when it was there, Phineas felt like his features were on fire. That didn’t happen; it never happened actually. Okay it had happened before, but not in the past three or four years. When Phineas got over the initial shock of the blush that had passed over his features, he chuckled. “Whoa there, are we okay?” And then something magical happened! Well, in Whoville they say that the Grinch's small heart grew three sizes that day! Okay, well that wasn’t really what happened, and it wasn’t actually magical either. But the grin returned, and this time it was a real cheese grin and not an attempt to cover up another feeling.
Phineas almost pulled away for a second to check and make sure that Alex was one hundred percent okay, but he didn’t bother. Instead he moved his arms so they wrapped around Alex in a tight hug. He was careful of course that he didn’t crush he or anything. He knew how to hug properly…well sometimes he did anyway. “So now that we’ve established I’m not going to hurt you and had a good cry can we get out of this water? It's is kind of freezing.” Yeah, Phineas was definitely back into his ‘good ol’ Phineas’ setting. He would admit that that was even a relief to him. But seriously, Finny hadn’t even noticed the water was cold until Alex had smiled again. It was weird how things happened like that. How when you were so focused on something, the other things you would usually complain about just kind of faded until they were unimportant. .xAlexandra Tuckerx. And it only took a look to see that everything we wanted could never be.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.
As she stood there after her comment she remarked on how terrible she must be looking right now. It was a silly thought but it was just something her mind had come up with to distract herself from any other over whelming emotion that otherwise might have occupied her mind. So she mentally imagined herself for a moment for reasons unknown. She saw smeared mascara under pink eyes, tumbled wet hair from her swim and the jump, and oh yeah there was the whole wet white shirt thing she just remembered. Without allowing herself a minute more of thought on the matter she crossed her arms over her chest, knowing that attempts to cover up the lime green bra underneath was useless now. "Oh no i won't leave if you don't want me to. I mean I just figured you wouldn’t want me here because I scared you cause I’m a jerk. And …yeah.” She glanced up to Phin again, shock clearly crossing her face as she watched him.
Jerks don't scare me. People who accidentally catch me at a bad time startle me, but that's it. An Phin!! How in the world could you ever think of yourself as a jerk?
Ok so maybe exclaiming in surprise wasn't the best thing for her to do after crying because a hand flew up to her throat as she cracked along her worlds. Bitting the inside of her lip just a little this time she wasn't going to glance away again, because for some reason Phineas was relaxing her. Why would he be able to do a thing like that that she had never before known any one to do. Maybe it was that smile. Personally Alex found it hard to give a good smile for anything, i mean there was the lucky random one but otherwise she just didn't have a whole lot to smile about, having to be as serious in life as she had to be to take care of her brother and take care of herself. And then it seemed he was only trying to help more as he spread his arms in the offered hug. It would've been fine, but then she decided to take that fateful step forward because she wanted that hug, she wanted to feel "good" for a second. Yet there just wasn't going to be a chance of that.
What was up with today? For some reason when Alex found herself in a bad situation or having an accident there was none of the slowing down of time like they show in movies. Instead it was just this huge rush of thoughts bombarding her head. Like her brain went into overdrive from trying to do too many things at once. Consiquensialy as soon as Alexandra felt her foot slipping on that little rock million thoughts were triggered in her head. "Was today April first? Who controlled the whole Karma thing? Why had i gotten out of bed early for this? Who in the world put a mossy rock here? Why me???" All of these thought took up only the tiniest portion of her actual thoughts but it was then that she actually made contact with Phin's chest, which jolted her back to reality.
A little oomph excaped her lips as her head softly bounced of Phineas. At least that was what had hit first before the rest of her body followed. Reaching up to catch herself in case he had decided to move Alex actually found herself landing against a solid enough chest. For a moment her breath caught in her chest as she stood there, still having the sensation of falling in her head. All she could do was clutch at the shirt front that her hands were against and lean there, very carefully against Phin. For a moment the actual fact that she was against another human being wanted to tear her back into her nightmare, make her run and hide again. That feeling however didn't have her running away as usual. Instead Alex had no idea what to do but clutch closer to Phin. Perfectly aware of the fact that she was being overly clingy right now Alex would have shoved away.
But she was zapped of energy. Crying and being afraid made Alex's head feel like an ice pick was being wedged into her temples, yeah she got headaches easily like that. So she simply stood there because she had no idea what else to do. She could have stood back up, brushed off her pants and raced off again like the big girl she was.....could be. Why run when you can walk though ?Why walk at all? So yes the facts were that being tired and comfortable made Alex a very unmovable person. A chuckle however and a “Whoa there, are we okay?” from the man so kindly supporting her was enough to snap her out of it though. A severe blush burned over Alex's cheeks, not her usual little tad of color either, a real blush was in order here. Still she mad to look up at some point and admit defeat right? She'd been too embarrassed by today to give a rats ass about the blush as she glanced up to reply.
Only to cock her head to one side in amazment, her signature puppy dog look. There was this smile in front of her that seemed familiar and so different at once that she didn't find that her words were going to come out as planned. She made a few tiny uncomprehensible sounds before she simply just stared a little. What was this new look on Phineas? But then there were these arms around her and looking up at his face became very difficult as she was tugged into a firm hug, her arms still flat against Phin's chest. She became suddenly aware as she was being pulled into the hug that her own (still upturned) face was coming dangerously close to his own, of all the things in the world to happen at this point some accidental bonking of foreheads or whatever was not what Alex had in mind.
So still blushing slightly she tucked her head sideways instead, letting herself be squeezed to Phineas with little smile pulling up at the corners of her mouth. She could've laughed at her self for how ridiculous her mind was being to her today. Oh a cover over the eyes sent her into shock, but somehow being crushed in a hug was just fine. Nice job brain. so alex sighed a little to herself feeling her shoulders droop a little from their stiff position from before. “So now that we’ve established I’m not going to hurt you and had a good cry can we get out of this water? It's is kind of freezing.” It was funny that a shiver ran up her spine at the same moment he said this, as if to agree and this time Alex actually did allow a little giggle to pass her lips as she nodded against his collar bone. Everything he had just said was true, she was done, he wasn't going to hurt her. So she couldn't help but agree with him.

Phineas Andrew Lee !I've been sleeping with ghosts, I've been watching stars coming out of the sky. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -“Yeah, well the fact that I covered your eyes like thatwas kind of a jerk move.” Wait what? Phineas was totally confused. She was actually asking how he could possibly think of himself as a jerk after what he had just done. His mind didn’t even take into consideration that her tears might not have been his fault. Phineas was weird like that. He was the first to step up and take the blame for actions of others. He was totally willing to soak up all the sadness that everybody else had to offer and still wear that stupid smile on his face. “Well I mean I did sneak up on you and as usual I didn’t really consider all the factors, like the fact that you’re in a secluded area and that I’m a guy. And that maybe this is a spot where creepers come to pray on pretty innocent Containment crew members.” Phineas have gone on and on with reasons why he was a jerk, but he somehow managed to stop himself there. He let his ranting fade just kind of fade out and with nothing else to say he bit at the inside of his cheek a little bit. A second later Phineas averted his gaze down towards the water that had calmed around them due to a lack of movement. His shoulders moved up and down slightly in a shrugging motion as he continued to stare down at his reflection.
By that time, Phineas would have assumed that Alex knew him well enough to be able to honestly say that he was the jerkiest of all jerks. She was probably just being nice to him, even if she didn’t really have a reason to be nice to him After all, the childish and innocent looking Phineas was a notorious serial cheater. Sure, he may not actually mean to do it, but what guy set out on his way one day and say ‘I think today I’m going to cheat on my girlfriend.’? And at least he was totally honest and told the person he was dating that he had cheated, but seriously? It may have been okay if Phineas had been a serial cheater in a small town or something. At least in a small town there were less people to be cheating with. But he had never lived in a small town and he had always been known as one. And Phineas wasn’t just the guy who had cheated on one or two ex’s. The one ex he hadn’t cheated on was Stephanie and just look at how that one turned out. No, Phineas was notorious for his escapades. Phineas may have been a great friend and a great lover, but he was not a great boyfriend after the six month mark.
Finny’s smile couldn’t help but widen ever so slightly when he noticed Alex was blushing. It was cute. Phineas had always thought that blushing was cute, even though when it happened to him it felt like his skin was on fire or something. But that was just because it didn’t happen often. When you came across someone who was as …ahem, romantically involved with everyone as Phineas was it was hard to get them to honestly blush. And if you did manage to make them blush then it was even more difficult to get them to admit that they had been blushing. As Phineas released his grip around Alex his arms dropped back to his sides. He took a step, with the smile still on his face, being careful of mossy rocks or things of the like. “Sorry about that, I can never resist a hug.” He laughed a bit at himself, shrugging his shoulders again.
Phineas almost let out a sigh of relief when she agreed to go back with him to the shore. If he was freezing in the knee deep water, then he could only assume how she was feeling at that moment .And Phineas didn’t want to be the cause of her getting a cold, even if it was ridiculously warm out. Phineas had just a slight case of paranoia about those things…it was only slight. Promise. “Alright then m’lady. Shall we go?” Phineas would use random words and phrases like that at random times. That was just the kind of person he was. It was really what made Phineas who he was, so he was definitely going to try and keep things that way. As he spoke he stepped off the side a little onto another rock. He lost his balance for a moment but quickly regained it. There was something about seeing one clumsy (Not that it really counted as clumsy. Mossy rocks were definitely slippery. They suck.) act that made everybody who say it a little clumsy too. But Phineas didn’t have a chest to fall into, so he had to be a little more careful. When he regained his footing he moved his other foot so both were placed flat on top of the rock, with his equilibrium back to normal. He gave Alex enough room for her to pass by him or walk next to him if she wanted, but if she were to slip again and Phineas were able to think fast enough he would be able to catch her.
Phineas outstretched a hand to assist Alex across the rocks onto the shore. She could take it or refuse it, Finny just thought that it was the gentlemanly thing to do. Yeah, he was a regular modern-day prince charming (note the sarcasm?) “Make sure to be careful of the mossy rocks.” Wow, wait to sound like an asshole Phineas? She could have been embarrassed about that. Not that he was saying she was, but just in case Phineas scrambled to get out his reason for saying what he did. “I wasn’t making fun of you and that wasn’t mean to sound mean or anything, I just don’t want you to like slip and fall and die or anything because that would be incredibly uncool.” Now Phineas may have been dorky, and he may have talked a bit too fast, but at least he was cute enough to make up for these things…well at least that was the case for the majority of the time. .xAlexandra Tuckerx. And it only took a look to see that everything we wanted could never be.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.
What a day this had worked out to be Alexandra found herself thinking as she stood under the mid noon's sunlight. Just standing here in the light and feeling it's strong rays begin to dry her mop of brown hair Alex couldn't help shrugging off her earlier feelings of dread and unease. They had been constantly there for just too long in her mind and now that she found herself standing here in a place like this, with a person with enough cheer to fuel the world, she found herself just kind of floating in some kind of odd haze. For once she wasn't feeling scared, or excited, or anything much at all. It wasn't exactly unpleasant but never having felt "relaxed" before this Alex was beginning to wonder what was going on. She was worrying that something like this was just to fragile for a girl like her and that's when the worrying about loosing it came, and she just had to hold on to that worry to keep from really feeling any worse about something so stupid.
Worry wasn't such a bad thing in her mind though Alex figured out. She was comforatable with it, having become very close with the emotion from growing up around three very....well brotherly brothers. “Yeah, well the fact that I covered your eyes like that was kind of a jerk move. Well I mean I did sneak up on you and as usual I didn’t really consider all the factors, like the fact that you’re in a secluded area and that I’m a guy. And that maybe this is a spot where creepers come to pray on pretty innocent Containment crew members.” Alex looked up more from shock then anything else at first, she had a problem with dazing off on people. But as she listened more to what he was saying something happened that Alex hadn't done in quite a while.
She got frustrated. Alexandra's brows fell a little together as she looked up at Phin's still downcast face. A little crease formed between the two as Alex considered actually having to smack Phin, because he was doing something that she was only too familiar and tired of. Hadn't she already told him he hadn't scared her? It was her fault...not entirely, but still her's, that she had freaked out and done that, and here he was beating himself up over it. Alex bit onto her lower lip a little as she watched Phineas glance down and shrug to himself, ok so that was it. He was reminding her way to much of her family and their whole taking the blame for everything deal.
And why was he doing this whole "i'm so aweful" routine anyway? As Alex watched the boy stand there in lost thoughts she sighed because she had a clue. She, of course, had heard the talk of the infamous drummer's past. She knew the dirt on his life just from strolling about time with the little fan girls flocking around any which one of them had any juicy information on anyone, typical women. So yeah she knew about Phineas' tendencies to not be able to stay true blue to just one girl, or another. Yeah she knew the guy liked to mess around with other people when he had the urge to. Why this was such a big to everyone still escaped her though. So watching Phin she began to feel a little sorry for the tall lanky blonde. He really wasn't such the jerk he had himself made out in his mind to be. The thought had Alex's expression softening a little as she wiggled to free one arm of his hold. Not bothering with the whole concept of personal space being hugged as she was, she reached up her hand to rest in on the side of his face softly before working ona s serious a look as she could.
Phineas Lee. I swear you have to stop thinking of yourself as such a bad guy. Trust me I know when I'm dealing with bad people and they don't hug and care about people like you do, so quit it mister!
To make sure he got her she broke the little serious look and gave him one of those smiles that weren't all too common since the incident back home. And then just because she was a purely instinctual person she reached as far as she could on her toes to lean around and place a little kiss quickly on his cheek. Ya she blushed a little from it but she was use to kissing friends on the cheeks and she didn't regret thinking of Phin as a friend so why not?“Sorry about that, I can never resist a hug.” As she felt his hold around her small frame release Alex carefully made sure she was settled firmly on her new footing before she sighed and rolled her eyes a little, can't teach this old dog new tricks apparently.“Alright then m’lady. Shall we go?” Alexandra caught Phin's gaze and once again cocked a brow at him. M'lady wasn't one of those words she had ever guessed would come out of Mr. Phineas' lips but seeing as it was a pleasant surprise she just giggled a little and nooded, before focusing on her feet to move.
It was the little waving of an arm in her perifferal vision that had Alexandra glancing up again automaticaly, apperently her little mossy rock friends weren't only picking on her. Bitting back a laugh Alex just shook her head before looking to her next step and taking it carefully. After settling onto the next rock Alex sighed and counted mentally in her head to three before smiling, feeling very accomplished at having not fell."Make sure to be careful of the mossy rocks." Hearing Phin's voice Alex looked to see a hand extending out towards her and she couldn't help smirk. M'lady...hands being offered. No this was definitely not Phineas Andrew Lee of Containment."I wasn’t making fun of you and that wasn’t meant to sound mean or anything, I just don’t want you to like slip and fall and die or anything because that would be incredibly uncool.” Ok now he was in for it.
Even though she knew very well she was risking falling, Alex whisked back her hand before he could have a hold on it before she glanced down. Picking her way (now very artfully) over the familiar rocks Alex was soon Right next to Phineas again before she glared up at him like before, real feeling behind it this time. She may be a small girl but when she glared she glared. For a minute she stood there open mouthed, her sudden venom leaking away as her words froze and she stood there. She had wanted to say that she could fend for herself, that she wasn't going to break down any time someone didn't help her, and that he'd better stop apologizing or she'd rip his head off, but suddenly it was so terribly trivial matter and she was just stuck there, having a total freeze up.
Alexandra really couldn't control her temper very well any more. When people did something that hurt her and she couldn't really do anything to change it it was like she was screaming in a glass box and no one heard. Feeling frustration rise to flood her eyes again with those stupid little droplets of salt water Alex blinked rapidly in front of Phin before raising and clenching, only to clench and release her fist again Alex just wanted to shout Stop Doing That! But she wouldn't it wasn't Alex. So instead Alex did an Arren thing and growled infrustration before punching his chest in a manner that wouldn't have hurt a moth before she spun around inteh the shallows of the water stalking off up the shore muttering Please stop it under her breath. Being a little thrown off from her sudden flare of stupidly placed anger Alex plucked her converse up from the pebbles lain across the beach. After standing she just stood there just wringing out her shoes, closing her eyes. It took a lot of breathing to keep her stupid thoughts in check but when she opened her eyes again Alex just sighed and turned around, clasping her free hand over her eyes.
Phineas, I'm sorry. Now look who's being the jerk huh? With me loosing my temper. I....just come walk me home or something pleaaase? I need a drink or something from there....and i'm still not sure how to get around this island yet and will probably end up falling on some mossy rocks....
For a second Alexandra saw him walking away. Yeah she watched as his figure just faded quickly into the green surrounding the waterfall, and she was just scared. Scared that she was going to keep messing up her life with every person who ever offered her a hand along the way. Her hand quickly feel away from her eyes again as she looked out to see him still standing there, and a lump rose in her throat because he was still there. He had stayed to make sure she was ok after breaking down, had stayed to help her out, and what did she do? Thrust all of that away to be stupid and choose to be a bit*h about something that didn't really mater. The thought that she had done that in a split second of spite had her frowning at herself....stupid little brain. And she also realized that she'd have to make up for lost ground somehow, so she held out her hand and waited to see if she would ever get the chance to say sorry.

Phineas Andrew Lee !I've been sleeping with ghosts, I've been watching stars coming out of the sky. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -When Phineas felt Alex’s hand on his face, he also felt his face light up. And not in the kind of way that he was really used it. That stupid pink color was back. Once again the blush was small, and perhaps unnoticeable, but Phineas actually felt like his face was on fire. Something almost made him lift his hands and try to scratch the pink off. There were way too many things to prevent him from doing that. First of all, Alex would think he was some kind of a freak. Second of all, it would probably hurt…a lot. And last if perhaps she hadn’t noticed the blush, she would certainly notice it when he was attempting to scratch it off his face. Oh yeah, and his attempts probably wouldn’t have worked anyway. "I uhm…okay?” Phineas returned her smile with enthusiasm. There was something odd about this smile, but Phineas enjoyed odd things. The pink flush across Finny’s features quickly crossed the threshold from unnoticeable, to maybe noticeable, to noticeable, and finally to very noticeable when Alex placed the small kiss on his cheek. It was odd considering how Phineas was so used to heavier displays of affection with people he had never met before. Maybe he just wasn’t expecting it? Yeah, that was probably it. Finny would be able to live with that explanation.
It wasn’t that Phineas thought that he was a particularly bad person. He just found himself inferior to the ‘greatness’ of others. Namely, his older brother Edward. Phineas hadn’t really felt inferior to other kids until he had been diagnosed with ADHD, because then his parents started looking at him differently. Teachers started looking at him differently too. Actually, Phineas felt like people in general started looking at him differently, even those who were unaware of his condition. But Phineas had always felt inferior Edward when they were growing up, even before his parents had took it upon themselves to start pointing out his faults and flaws to him. Needless to say, Finny’s shortcomings were many, so he felt the need to constantly make up for it by being incredibly skilled at what he did, and being really painfully overly friendly to people and making then feel good. Because when people felt good about themselves then they felt good about other people. And when people feel good about the people they’re around then they were less ready to pick out the flaws in the people that they were around.
Phineas was a bit taken aback at the glare he received. Since arriving at the bottom of the waterfall Phineas hadn’t felt particularly big or good about himself, but that glare just made him feel absolutely tiny. Like a speck of dirt, and not even that big. It was more like the bacteria on a speck of dirt. Like the bacteria on the bacteria on a speck of dirt. Phineas didn’t think that was entirely possible, but it was in his mind. And the worst part was that he didn’t understand why she was so angry with him. What had he done? Phineas searched his mind for an answer. Maybe it was something he had said? But Phineas couldn’t actually think of anything he said that could have been offensive. Okay well he had told her to be careful, but that wasn’t usually taken as a malicious comment. Well maybe it could have been taken as one? He hadn’t said any of his usual bonehead pick up lines or anything. At least he didn’t remember doing that, but he did have a bad memory. That was why he didn’t like to start thinking to deeply, because once his mind started going it was hard to get it to stop and get back on track.
But somehow Alex managed to do it. Phineas had been so focused on figuring out why she had gotten so pissed at him that he ceased to pay attention as she threw a punch straight to his chest. A small ‘Oof’ noise slipped past his lips as she did. It hadn’t really hurt, but Phineas hadn’t been paying enough attention to notice it. Instead of following Alex back to the shore, Phineas continued to stand in the water, watching Alex as she stocked off and prepared her things to go. His head actually tilted to the side displaying his confusion, his hair sat unmoving under his headband as he did. For some reason he didn’t get it. The infamous Phineas density, as usual. It just didn’t make sense. Usually he got a slap to the face, or hit in any kind of way when they thought he wasn’t being a gentleman. Normally he got slapped when he was being incredibly raunchy and just an asshole in general. And now that Phineas was actually attempting to act like a gentleman he got hit?! Maybe if he had acted like his usual raunchy self, then Alex wouldn’t have hit him? No, that probably wasn’t a good idea. Arren wasn’t the most forgiving person when it came to his sister, and Phineas understood why. Was there just no way to avoid getting hit if you were Phineas Andrew Lee? Guess not.
Finny’s brain was so ridiculously mixed up. Okay, so his brain was always a little disorganized, but right now it was even more so than usual. What had he done that had been so wrong? Should he have just started walking instead of attempting to offer a hand? Maybe he had been right earlier and she didn’t want him around and she was just trying to be nice. But why would she attempt to be nice if she was just going to hit him afterwards. Phineas tapped a finger on his cheek a few times, signaling he was thinking. Finny’s gestures were all about those hidden signals that people could only really recognize if they were really close to him. As Finny’s eyes stayed on Alex at her spot on the shore he made the decision that he was just going to wait until she was out of site before he moved. Clearly he had been doing something wrong that Alex didn’t like. And Phineas didn’t like being the cause of discomfort, anger, or sadness, so he would just wait until she was gone before he did anything else.
Phineas was brought out of his waiting when Alex turned back to face him and said what she did. Phineas had to blink a few times stupid before it registered. And even when it registered, it didn’t fully register. He still didn’t understand what he had done to make her so angry, but he kept his mouth shut. The only thing worse than angering a woman, was questioning them as to why. Because then they would say something like ‘Oh you know.’ And that just confused Phineas even more. Obviously he didn’t know if he was asking? Why did people always tell him what he was thinking? Why did everyone seem to know what was going on his mind except for him? “I uhm…sure.” Phineas shrugged his shoulders and gave up searching for answers. Something he should have done a long time ago. Phineas slowly began to wade back to shore, being cautious of course for the rocks. Just because Alex was graceful didn’t mean that Phineas was. When Finny finally reached the shore, he took a look down at his shoes and frowned with displeasure. He shook them out for a second, stumbling a bit as he did. He managed to catch himself before he crashed to the ground. When he was satisfied he made his way towards the bush he had been standing behind a few minutes earlier. Much to his pleasure, his skateboard was still there looking cold and abandoned. He plucked it off the ground and brushed off a few blades of grass. .xAlexandra Tuckerx. And it only took a look to see that everything we wanted could never be.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.
It may have been a light reflecting off of water droplet hanging in the midair...a rainbow sort of effect taking place. Or maybe having not eaten all day and then jumping off a cliff had done something to Alex's eyes. All that the little brunette knew however was that as she was watching the spot where her hand had just lain on Phineas' face, a rosy red hue rose to take it's place. It was such a subtle hue of color that at first she had let it go. Alex's forehead crumpled a little in confusion however when the color became more prominent. She hadn't hurt him by touching him had she? It was a silly little thought but it did pose a purpose. She was wondering what that was and why it was there so it was indeed a honest questioning to the thing at hand. What indeed was wrong with Phin's face that would cause it to change to such a interesting shade? After pulling back from her little peck she could't help but gasp.
Oh!
Alex's eyes widened as she took in the whole image really for the first time, having been so intent on the one spot for so long. Now that she looked to the rest of Phineas' face she couldn't help but smile impishly. After all it wasn't just every day you caught these tough act guys blushing and she didn't want to spoil the moment by grinning and cooing over how adorable it was. So instead she just let her lips slip into a small grin as she watched the red tinge spread across his face, covering his cheeks and nose finally in a bright pink that seemed to stand out all the more against the boy's shock of white blond hair. Alex had to tell herself over and over not to laugh, that it would just kill him and then she would never be able to have to awesome pleasure of having a guy blush in front of her again. Luckily a distraction from the the blush in front of her had conveniently presented itself at just the right moment. Standing there Alex realized suddenly that she enjoyed nothing better in the world than seeing people smile.
If Phin had ended up just walking back to shore, offering the hand, and then moving on then Alex could have very well spend the rest of her day perhaps staying around to enjoy more smiles with this person who was so quickly becoming a good person in her book of people to make sure to be around. Yet we obviously know this didn't happen because Alex went onto have her little temper tantrum and hit Phineas only to stalk off. So yes obviously they were back to square one, with Phin being totally and utterly shocked, and Alex being on about the same level. Except for the fact that she knew and acknowledged the fact that their pondering came solely from her own stupid mouth. So she had stalked off to shore to grab the shoes awaiting her on the sand before apologizing and now the only thing she could think to do in all of her confusion was hold out that little hand. A meager sign that she needed to know she could apologize for her errors around others.
Poor Phineas just stood there, a blank incomprehensible expression passing over his face as he stood there. It was hard for Alex to just stand there, not saying anything and just have to let him have his own thoughts for a while. She didn't want him to get the wrong idea of what she had said to him. She didn't want him to stalk off still confused and not be able to talk to her about it. So the hand spread out a little more because although she couldn't just blurt out that she was sorry maybe she could explain a little later. She stood stock still in place as Phineas began trudging through the water back toward shore. It was only when he stumbled a little that Alex broke out of her safety zone and reached out hoping to at least keep him from hitting anything hard. But it was as soon as she began moving that Phin caught himself and began walking off toward the brush.
Alex's throat constricted as she stood there, the one hand still reaching out all alone waiting for someone to reach and take it. Her body trembled a little bit as she took a steady step backward along the shore as she realized Phin probably wouldn't want to do anything with her any more. She was just too messed up to attempt this whole associating with other people thing that she had use to do. It was hard to decide whether it was better to just head home and not say anything to him, or just try again at this whole thing. A million other thoughts raced through her head though as she turned her back to where he had disappeared off to and began walking down toward the falls some more, being alone just sounded too good right now for her to pass up.
As she walked though, and became nearer to those crashing waters, her steps faltered. She looked slowly down to her hands where they were wringing her black shoes together in agitation. It was an unconscious action that she had picked up when she was little and confused, usually it was a skirt hem or stuffed animal or something though. As Alex watched her hands though she knew why she was doing it. So she sank to the pebbly beach floor, dropping her shoes next to her, and then dropped her own head into her empty hands. A bitter sob broke through her lips as she sat there. There was a strange absence of sorrow or tears there but Alex just shook slightly to herself as she sat there on the ground thinking about why she she had to be such a screw up in life.
As she sunk more and more into the tangled thoughts that Alex usually kept in check she sighed sadly and stared up out of her hands toward the rocky cliff rising in front of her. She yearned for her brother to come and take her "home" home. She yearned for the past year to be just erased from ever happening to herself. Her thoughts grew more wild as her hands curled into little tight fists, driving sharp nails straight into her palms. She wanted to have never come here, to this island where she was beginning to care about others, she wanted to just be numb like she had done for so long back home. Most of all though Alex just wanted to sleep right now. It would have been so much easier to just lay down on the rough pebbled beach and just not think about anything....just kind of fade away and die was what she was thinking.
Phin? Can you take me home?
She knew the probability of him hearing her from down the shore line was slim to nothing but she just had to set it out there in case. If she didn't say something to him now she knew he'd probably be like most of the people in her life so far and just figure that what she needed was to be alone. Swallowing against the choking feeling again she was startled out of the feeling by a sharp pain in her left palm. It shook her out of her little stupor as she glanced down to her hand in shock. It was only a shallow cut but it was enough to have a little stream of blood trailing down toward her wrist. Random things like this were always happening to Alex so she couldn't really be surprised that she she had hurt herself just by sitting there. All she managed to do for herself though was sigh and just just stare, she had a problem with blood and how fascinated with it that she just couldn't wipe the thin trail away. So just sitting there alone on the beach she sat in fascination of her stupid little body.

Phineas Andrew Lee !I've been sleeping with ghosts, I've been watching stars coming out of the sky. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Phineas wasn’t angry with Alex. No, he wasn’t angry at all. Phineas didn’t have time to be angry. The only feeling he was really experiencing at that point in time was confusion. Maybe she had that whole ‘independent woman’ thing going on. You know? Those kinds of girls that were like ‘I DON’T NEED NO MAN TO MAKE ME HAPPY.’ (It was pretty much a given that these women wouldn’t be able to stand Phineas.) But Phineas hadn’t insulted her gender or anything. He hadn’t been trying to play ‘Prince Charming ‘ or anything either. He was just trying to make sure that she didn’t slip and fall. Because he had no medical expertise, and those rocks were dangerous. After all, those rocks were definitely slippery and Phineas had almost come crashing down on one. Then again, Phineas was a male, and an incredibly clumsy one at that. He had flung more than one drum stick at a band mates head when attempting a trick, or even just playing at a regular speed. Anyway, it pretty much goes without saying when Phineas looked up from his skateboard he was surprised to see that Alex wasn’t in the spot that she had previously been standing in. In fact, she was already a good ways down the shoreline.
Phineas was once again confused as to what his course of action should be. Should he run after her, stumbling and apologizing for being such a foolish and pigheaded man? Or should he just turn his back and walk back alone? After all, Alex had proved that she was a big girl, not that Phineas had considered her to be a little girl at any point in time. She would probably be fine on her own. The thought almost made Phineas turn his back and walk in the opposite direction. But Phineas found that rude and ungentlemanly. So instead he walked slowly behind her. He didn’t try and catch up because he wasn’t totally sure if she wanted him there. But he at least owed it to her to make sure she got home without further injury, either emotional or physical. When Alex stopped abruptly and took a seat, Phineas almost stopped and took a seat too. But instead he took it as his chance to catch up so he increased his speed ever so slightly until he was up next to her.
“Didn’t I already say that I would?” Phineas bent his knees a bit and dropped down next to Alex, with his whole weight resting on his tip-toes. There was that signature Phineas grin across his features once more. It was a somewhat meager attempt to show that he wasn’t angry about her storming off or punching him. Phineas feelings were much too shallow to be affected by such trivial matters. He moved so he faced the shoreline as well and dropped his skateboard onto the sand. And then he proceeded to drop his but onto the skateboard. His towering legs and soaking black converse outstretched towards the water, but he tilted his head ever so slightly, so his face was turned towards at Alex once more. Well maybe he hadn’t told her that he would walk her home…or maybe she’d just forgotten? In Finny’s world, both were definitely possibilities. But in Finny’s world just about everything was a possibility. It didn’t even occur to him that he may not have said it loud enough, or maybe he wasn’t clear with his words. Both were easy explanations, which explained why Phineas chose to believe the ones that probably weren’t true. “If I didn’t tell you, then yes I will.” It took a second before Phineas noticed Alex’s hands and the small blood trailing down her wrist. The corners of his mouth pulled downwards into a frown.
Enjoyment of pain was supposed to be Finny’s secret fetish. Maybe it was something he had in common with Alex? But for some strange reason Finny didn’t really think that this was the proper time to ask such questions. So he kept his mouth zipped tight at least about his own secrets. Phineas practically had secrets coming out of his ears. Even stuff that somehow that press hadn’t gotten a hold of. The press thought they were so coy and so smart with their stories. Like anything they would expose about Phineas wasn’t totally planned. Like Phineas gave them secret clues to his soul through his actions. Those foolish writers. Phineas knew exactly how he was portrayed in the media, and what people thought of him because he planned it. Really, he was a bit smarter than people gave him credit for. The truth was that they were only seeing the tip of the Phineas secret iceberg. And hopefully, that would be all they ever got to see because Phineas wouldn’t be happy if they got information about his ADHD, or his inferiority complex, or worst of all Stephanie. And the fact that Phineas still had that stupid ring tucked away in a drawer. Now THAT would have been embarrassing. It probably would have been so embarrassing that Phineas would lock himself in his room for a while. And then emerge even happier than before.
Phineas was weird like that. It seemed that he could spend and eternity locked in his room or somewhere else dark and unpleasant and he could emerge as happy as a clam. To Phineas feeling happy and feeling sad was all about balance. And the balance of those two feelings was incredibly delicate. To Phineas if you spent too much time feeling sad then you weren’t really living. Because sadness wasn’t a positive feeling, and you had to feel good sometimes. But you couldn’t be happy all the time either. Because you weren’t really living then. Part of the beauty of living was feeling disappointment or sadness every once in a while. And in Finny’s mind, if you spend six months locked in your lonely apartment refusing to see anyone, then you shouldn’t feel sadness for a LONG TIME. Like, you should be happy until your dead long time.
But instead of mentioning any of these things to Alex, Phineas lifted a hand, and pointed a finger down at the wounds on Alex’s hands. They weren’t that bad. Nothing that a few band-aid, some Neosporin and a stack of blueberry pancakes wouldn’t fix. Unfortunately Phineas didn’t have any of those things. He didn’t move his hand any closer because although small, the cuts kind of looked like they hurt. “Oh and just for the record Mama Phineas doesn’t enjoy this.” There was nothing like cracking a joke at an improper time to make everyone feel either a little better or a little more awkward. For some reason whenever Phineas said that to people (Why yes, he had said it more than once.) he pictured himself as a mother hen. Either a mother hen or a large black woman. Sometimes it was a mother hen that talked like a large black woman. And well the lanky blonde drummer was about as far away from a large black woman as one could possibly get at this day in age. “You probably won’t be able to climb rocks very well with those.” Finny’s arms went up in a somewhat defensive pose. They weren’t crossed over his chest they were just bent in the elbows with his hands in the air. Probably not the best defensive stance considering his chest was easily exposed to a punch. It was less a defensive pose than it was a pose of surrender. “Just saying, don’t hit.” alexandra! outfit: clickeh!lyric credit: the astronaut - something corperate. word count: one thousand three hundred and thirteen! notes: i don't know what that is...but if you makes it cry then don't do it! .xAlexandra Tuckerx. And it only took a look to see that everything we wanted could never be.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.
She knew the whole stalking off to sulk thing was probably the most childish thing she had done since, well probably ever, but she just really couldn't take hersef anymore. She had been the same way her whole life, always too emotional over things, always saying the wrong things. She was one of those people who had to crawl into the rooms some days and jsut repeatedly hit their head against the wall to try and cope with themselves. As Alex walk, kicking up little sprays f the lighter weighing sand this was what she was thinking about. She had been alright the couple of months....ok a year or so, that she had been absolutely silent to the world because she couldn't just explode over nothing. She wanted to hit herself thinking that the second person she had talked to in so long was probably walking off somewhere in a daze about what he had done wrong.
Poor Phinny and the rest of the band, having to have a stupid little kid like Alex hanging around with them all the time and doin stuff like this. So as she settled down beside the falls she kind of just wanted to think of some kind of way to make things up, for everything she had ever done in life. “Didn’t I already say that I would?” To say that the voice beside her didn't surprise her would have been a bold faced lie to the world. Alex's head whipped around to see Phineas there, folding his too tall body awkwardly down on to his board, now resting itself again the sand. A little flutter in her chest was a million apologies trying to break free at once seeing the blonde settled there beside her with his legs outstretched on the beach. He was smiling over at her with that signature grin so that Alex froze with her mouth open once again, could he really be letting this just pass?
The smile made her think so but his words made her feel more assured. “If I didn’t tell you, then yes I will.” It made a smile slowly pull up just the very corners of her lips as she sat there. If her was willing to take her home then that meant he was willing to bear with her crazy talk, and then meant he was willing to deal with her, and that just meant that maybe Alex could happily be around some one for once in her life other than Arren. It flooded through her mind like a shock, that she could actually work this out. She wanted to do a million things at once none of which were appropriate for her age or for Phineas to have to encounter. But as it was her hands were starting to hurt again and she was about to turn back to her bleeding palms when she caught Phin's frown. Smiling a bit at his look of distaste Alex could only giggle and hold out the palm closest to him a little more.
What? Someone's not afraid of blood is he? It's just a little blood Phinny, I promise I wont pass out on you or anything cuz of it.
Mentally smacking herself for the mocking Alex could only let her smile slip by as she considered the fact that Phineas actually might not like blood or something of that sort. Tugging her hand back a little closer to her own face Alex observed the little red trail with keen interest as she though about her words, never the right things to say. To her though the blood really wasn't a big thing. Yes her palms ached and burned a little were the flesh had been broken but it was more interesting to her and fun to observe how her nerves reacted and how she felt because o it. Ever since the incident she had grown to appreciate being able to feel alive, this was just one of those ways. But maybe Phin really didn't like the whole blood thing.“Oh and just for the record Mama Phineas doesn’t enjoy this.” Alex flinched a little at that and look over to see him pointing at her cuts, yeah great job on the teasing there. But there was thaw whole "Mama Phineas" thing that kind of threw Alex off a little.
It sounded more like he was adding a tone of joking in there. It confused her greatly seeing as he could either mean that one way or another but Alex just chose to let him explain when he did. She didn't know why she began thinking of her own mother at that but her eyes turned back out to the waters as the word kind of kicked up little memories in her mind. She remembered her mother scolding her for playing with the boys, how she scream and kicked away the bullfrog Andrew and her had caught down in the creek the one day. It would have gone on and on if Phineas hadn't poked in. “You probably won’t be able to climb rocks very well with those. Just saying don't hit” A quick shiver ran through her spine to as she returned to the world of the living from her little day dream. She looked back down to her hands trying to push away her memories and sighed.
I never really though about that, but yeah I guess the trip back ho...back to the apartments isn't going to be very fun huh?
After she had said that she turned to look as Phineas as laughed a little finally seeing him. He was sitting there on his board with his arms thrown up awkwardly in front of him. She hadn't really noticed his little part of saying for her to not hit him but seeing him like that was quite enough for her. Shaking her head and giggling at how funny he looked, trying to ward off a little 90 pound girl. It was like the lion and the elephant being afraid of the little nibbling mouse. It was only the fact that she noticed how long they had been there that Alex started to acknowledge that this day had to end some how. Bitting onto her lip as she had to press her hands against the pebbles to get up Alex moaned a little feeling a little one slip into one of her cuts. Standing up soon enough Alex worked to brush all of the little rocks off her hand and out of her cut before she closed her eyes and sighed.
I promise not to hit you anymore Phin, as long as I can get home before the brother freaks out on us both....I can't guarantee I can keep him from doing anything if his sister is gone for a whole day.
As she stood there Alex continued brushing her hands off a little more as she thought about that. Ever since Alexandra and him had gone to that party things between them were very touchy. He was always freaking out at every little thing that happened to her, always snapping at people who were messing with her or anything. On one hand she loved the fact that through everything she still had her brother with her, and then there was her other side. the side that knew she was like a sinking ship dragging him down with her as she went. It had been his idea to leave home to try a life somewhere else but hadn't he done it so that she could get away from David and everyone? Memory lane wasn't a very fun road to travel down she realized as she sighed standing there. She tried shaking off all of that and just turned to focus on Phineas again. Seeing he was still sitting Alex would have offered a hand if she knew that they weren't both covered in icky red stuff. So she all she could do was gently pick up her shoes of the ground again in the less throbbing hand and hold them gingerly as her palms began to really hurt from the little half moon cuts there. Oh this was going to be a walk in the woods.

Phineas Andrew Lee !I've been sleeping with ghosts, I've been watching stars coming out of the sky. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Phineas openly laughed at her comment about him having issues with blood. “Clearly my dearest Alex you don’t know me very well.” Honestly if there was a person who had fewer issues with blood than Phineas, he would have liked to meet them. He had sat through and entire Saw movie marathon without flinching once. “I’ve been in the hospital more times than I can possibly count. So many times that the doctors and nurses practically knew me by name back home.” Phineas wouldn’t lie. He had been to the emergency room an unusually large number of times. He just couldn’t help it. Most of the things that Phineas considered to be fun were both incredibly dangerous and incredibly stupid. If Finny’s career as a drummer hadn’t worked out then he probably would have gone into the stuntman business. And if that didn’t work out then Phineas would have to go with the Jackass route. Because who didn’t honestly didn’t love Jackass? Okay, well people who could be classified as ‘intelligent’ didn’t usually like it. Fortunately that group didn’t include Phineas. Phineas had decided a long time ago that when he bought his first house it would have a lake in the backyard. And he would make sure that a large skateboard ramp was built leading right into the lake. Because skateboarding into any body of water was fun. Once again, Phineas loved stupid stunts.
“But when we hang out with Mama Phineas we are supposed to have fun.” Phineas wasn’t going to give up on the Mama Phineas thing. He was so awkward that it was amusing. Phineas motioned to the cuts on her palms once again, the look of displeasure not leaving his features. “And fun things don’t include getting hurt.” He had to pause after his comment. It didn’t make much sense for him to say that. It was a bit hypocritical on his part. Phineas shook his head as he quickly corrected himself. “Okay well fun things don’t include getting hurt on purpose. If it’s by accident it’s not quite as bad.” Phineas was perfectly okay with hurting himself, but he couldn’t stand seeing other people hurt either emotionally or physically. That was why when he broke up with people he had to come clean about the fact that he was cheating on them. Because instead of crying because he broke up with them, they became infuriated because he had been with another man or woman. So instead of seeing tears of sadness, he saw fists of anger. And anger was always easier to deal with in his opinion. “So we’re going to stop that, right?” An eyebrow perked on Finny’s face as he awaited the answer that he was looking for.
“Yeah it isn’t going to be fun, at least for you it isn’t.” Phineas flinched at the thought of those cuts rubbing up against the smooth surface of rocks. Yeah, that wasn’t going to be pleasant at all. Phineas would have offered to like carry her up the rocky cliffs or something, but he didn’t want her to get mad at him for assuming that she couldn’t handle herself again. Even though he hadn’t really thought that in the first place. It was a precautionary measure that Phineas didn’t normally think to take. So he decided that he’d wait before asking her if she needed him to carry her. “Well there’s bound to be at least one place that doesn’t involve climbing rocks to get up there right?” Phineas lifted his chin and looked one way down the rocky cliffs and then turned his head to look the other way. He couldn’t see anything but rocks. But there had to be something right? People came down here all the time right? Okay, maybe not. But it was at least worth a try to check. Oh, Phineas was practically the king of wishful thinking (ahaha that’s a song!)
“Okay good. Because hitting isn’t very lady-like.” Finny’s voice resembled that of a mother hen, referring to his previous joke. His chest was puffed out and he had a look of distain on his face. His chest dropped a moment later, and he laughed as he did so. “Just kidding.” The corners of Finny’s mouth dropped a moment later when she mentioned her brother. Phineas actually had to hold back a groan at the mention of Alex’s brother. It wasn’t that Phineas didn’t like Arren or anything. Phineas loved Arren, hell Phineas loved everyone. Arren was a pretty cool guy, and Phineas would have done naughty things to him if they were trapped in a dark alleyway together, but Arren had that whole ‘protective older brother’ vibe. And that vibe never seemed to mesh well with people like Phineas, with good reasoning of course. Now Phineas never planned on taking a female to a secluded place and taking advantage of her. Phineas did have some kind of moral code that he adhered to, but that was always what the older brother assumed. And Phineas totally understood why. If he had a little sister he would have acted in the same exact way. He knew that male mind as good as anyone and it wasn’t a trustworthy place, especially when it came to people like him. But that didn’t make it any less annoying when Phineas was getting interrogated on his whereabouts and threatened if he didn’t comply when they came back from a date or something as harmless as hanging out by a waterfall.
“Damn I forgot about him.” Phineas took another look down at her hands. There was no doubt in his mind that he would be blamed for that. And if it kept Alex out of trouble then Phineas would be willing to accept that blame. In his mind he did have some sort of part in it, she wouldn’t have stormed off like she did if he hadn’t done something wrong. “Oh well, I’ll just offer him my body and he will be like ‘Gr, Alex is late, but Phineas is a hot man love so she is forgiven.” Phineas shrugged a bit, laughing as he finished his take on the matter. He was joking, naturally but he couldn’t go and assume that Alex knew that. So he had to laugh at his own joke just in case she didn’t realize his jest. Phineas knew that things wouldn’t go so smoothly that easily, but Phineas couldn’t resist a joke almost like he couldn’t resist a hug. A moment later, Phineas realized that Alex was standing and he quickly followed suit. He didn’t want to hold her up anymore than he had to. He brushed some of the grains of sand from his pants and he bent down to pull his skateboard back off of the ground once more. .xAlexandra Tuckerx. And it only took a look to see that everything we wanted could never be.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.
Being comfortable was a foreign concept to Alexandra she realized as she sat there, basking the late noon sunlight. For the past few years it had all been about rushing about, getting things ready for this, being a good daughter like that. She had gotten to have those rare summer days laying out by the creek with her brothers to watch large billowing clouds pass over head. Mumsie dearest though soon came to think that Alex would pick up bad habits from those boys and their actions so by the time it started to really matter to her she had lost those days too. And then for a while in high school she had the usual sleep overs with her friends and parties with other class mates, and then she lost those too. It seemed whenever she really started liking the thing she had, became comfortable with it, it was yanked away like she was some child who just couldn't handle what she had just been given.
Well she decided that this place, this little lonely area was going to be something she could keep, it was going to be her new place to lay and watch the clouds. It was the sounds of Phineas laughing beside her that cleared her head enough for Alex to turn her attention back to him. She smiled at him feeling like his laugh was somehow a sign that they were getting to be more open together, it was a short mocking kind of laugh but upon hearing what he said Alex could only laugh along with him slightly. “Clearly my dearest Alex you don’t know me very well.” Turning to meet his blue eyes in a slight glance Alex could only smile at his comment. Nodding and shrugging with a little turn back to look out to the open waters Alex could only agree with him there.
Well considering this is the first time I'v actually ever talked to you really there are going to be a lot of thing I don't know about you...unless you want me listening to those loud mouth groupie lovers of yours.
She had to giggle again at this and smile widely. Oh yes she knew the infamous "Phineas Andrew Lee". Drummer of Containment, extreme player, and all around just bad person, but that just wasn't Phin really Alex realized. She looked back over to him, sitting there absent mindedly on his skateboard and had to admit she was happy. The fan girls may cry over this guy that played around with them and then totally avoided them the rest of their lives, and to be honest with you Alex knew that even if Phin went back to his well known self the next day and chose to avoid Alexandra the rest of her life, well she'd be ok because today wasn't going to just leave her memory.“I’ve been in the hospital more times than I can possibly count. So many times that the doctors and nurses practically knew me by name back home.” She smiled to herself hearing this, oh but with a name like Phineas what person could forget? But she didn't want to ruin his point so she merely nodded in understanding, so the guy wasn't squeamish. Good boy.
Then he was off again. Saying how there were to be no more injuries while "Mama Phineas" was running thing. It made her bite her lip a little knowing he wasn't squeamish about the blood but probably didn't want to see her openly cutting herself for fun. When she thought bout it if she had seen him accidentally cutting himself she'd probably have tried to keep him from doing it any more also. So upon hearing him ask her to not do it anymore Alex straightened up a little more, made a serious face and snapped him a goo ol' Army salute and said Eye-eye Captain! It was funny but she'd always loved calling her Arren captain while they were growing up in a playful gesture, saying it so naturally to play around with Phineas caught Alexandra off guard for a second making her smile falter a little before she just let it go, let things be as they were.
Starting to shift a little to get up Alex heard Phineas next to herself.“Yeah it isn’t going to be fun, at least for you it isn’t.” What he said kept her from rolling over and popping up for a second as she sat back down with a little groan of exasperation. She looked down to her hands. Where the nail's had cut were no longer blooding luckily, a little at the very center but mostly they were just pinkening up and sore, but she still she got images in her head of rocks scratching them and widening the cuts and she groaned once again. She was ok with being hurt and all that but she didn't like the whole idea of re-injuring herself for long periods of time or infections so her sighed to herself, ya definitely not fun.“Well there’s bound to be at least one place that doesn’t involve climbing rocks to get up there right?” Alex didn't bother looking up from her hands to know the answer was no but she still ved to get herself up on her feet and sighed.
Well then I'm screwed I guess. I guess you can just like head along in front of me and tell me which areas are easiest to step on or sumthing.
Now that she was back standing Alex sighed and circled about to look at the cliffs that were going to become very close friends for the next half hour or whatever it took her and her bloody hands to get up there. And in spite of the fact that she was going to be in pain for that whole time probably Alex smiled widely as she stared up in the bright sunlight. She was back in the land of the living at least and she didn't mind if that meant that she was going to have to be in a little pain, nothing she'd die of. “Okay good. Because hitting isn’t very lady-like..... Just kidding” Alex looked back over her shoulder at Phin's comment and giggled a little before turning back to him, her hands on her hips as she stood there. It was nice to be able to finally look down on his towering figure for once in her life like she usually had to look up at all men for that matter.
Punching is very lady like! I see you punching people all the time Phin......just kidding.
A little wink was given trying to tell him that she was just joking around with him a little. She knew it was mean of her to be mocking someone who had just spent a good while trying to help her out but if a person was getting to know the real Alexandra they were going to have to deal with the little elbow jabs every now and then, lord knows Arren couldn't be the only one to suffer her like that. Then she had to bring up the whole Arren thing, because really the man had issues with discovering his baby sister had left the house alone in the wee hours of the morning, and then brought home a guy like Phineas. They almost groaned at the same time which made Alex giggle under her breath. “Damn I forgot about him....Oh well, I’ll just offer him my body and he will be like ‘Gr, Alex is late, but Phineas is a hot man love so she is forgiven.” Alex froze as he said that and shivered as she stood there. She knew by Phin's laughter that he was joking but Alex moaned and shook her head.
Eww god I swear Phin if you two start hitting on each other or whatever, please just refrain from getting all gross until i've hidden under pillow or something
Most people in town knew about Arren being bisexual so the whole subject of him on Phineas hitting on each other wasn't totally far fetched, so she just had to be realistic. The only fight that the two of them had ever really gotten into was when Alexandra brought home her first crush to the house and the two of them fell head over heels for each other. Alex had learned since then that as the more docile of the two of them if she brought home any man and all of a sudden there was male lust, she'd just have to let it go and hide. Ok now this was weird to her, she like Phineas a lot after today, not like loving him but she actually cared that the guy had cared enough about her feeling to hang around this long to make sure she was ok...if him and Arren were suddenly in love all she wanted was to keep her little piece of Phineas that had become such a good friend, she wasn't a selfish person after all.
