Phineas Andrew Lee !I've been sleeping with ghosts, I've been watching stars coming out of the sky. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Phineas had to stop and think when Alex mentioned that the two of them had never actually spoken before. He was surprise to realize that she was telling the truth. “Well I guess you’re right…” Phineas blinked stupidly a few times. How weird was it that Phineas just automatically assumed that anyone he talked to was his best friend? Even if they had just started talking only a few minutes earlier. What was more strange to Phineas thought was the fact that he hadn’t made an attempt to talk to Alex? Now that wasn’t really like Finny at all. It was probably the older brother. Alex had always seemed like the quiet type to Phineas, and well he was right. And the quiet kids usually avoided people like him. Phineas was loud and obnoxious and a real pain in the ass most of the time, but that didn’t prevent Finny from talking to them. Phineas loved talking. He would talk to anyone at any time and absolutely love it. Some would call him hyper, some would say it was a result of his ADHD, but Finny just liked to think of himself as friendly and easily-likeable.
“Oh yes the groupies.” Phineas had to admit that sometimes he really loved his groupies and sometimes he really hated them. They may have been annoying at times, but they were a necessity if you wanted to have a successful band, and if you wanted to get laid at least twice a night. What? With a sex addiction Phineas couldn’t possibly just have sex with ONE person ONE time in ONE night. Talk about lame. “They can get aggravating, but what kind of rock band doesn’t have groupies?” Phineas paused for a moment to think where the members of Containment would have been without their obsessed fans and groupies. They would probably still be sitting in Finny’s garage talking all that college kid talk about how they’re going to change the world and make it better. They were pretty much the standard definitely of a garage band. And although during those days they were unsuccessful and broke as shit, those days were Finny’s favorite. It was just such a chill atmosphere, and Finny really missed that. And no matter how many times he attempted to recreate it, it would never be the same. “Well then they’d be a garage band.” His shoulders moved up and down in a shrugging motion as he answered his own question.
“If worse comes to worse I could carry you.” Finny’s hands went up in his ‘no offense’ pose again. He tended to use that pose a lot around people. Maybe he shouldn’t say so many things that could easily be taken offensively and he wouldn’t have to use that pose. But then Phineas just wouldn’t be Phineas, and Phineas being anyone else was just a weird thought. Like Phineas as…Robert Di Nero or something. That would have been weird. “You don’t have to do it if it will make you uncomfortable, but it would probably be the least painful path for you.” Alex didn’t look that heavy. Actually, she didn’t look heavy at all, and Phineas was stronger than he was often given credit for. He had played soccer in high school and he still playing it just for fun sometimes. Needless to say, he had some pretty strong leg muscles, despite how thin he actually was. “You’d have to get on my back and hold my skateboard for me.” Holding the skateboard may not help her hands, but it was better than making the injuries on her palms any deeper or wider by rubbing them on rocks. “And just for the record if you drop it, I’ll cry.” Finny’s skateboard was like his child, all eighty million of them. What else do you think Phineas would have spent those hefty rock star paychecks on? Save it? Foolish idea.
Finny stuck out a childish tongue in Alex’s direction when she made her comment about being lady like. Phineas was used to being teased, and he was totally cool with it. But you better believe that he was going to get her back before the day was over. That was just how things worked with him. “Oh haha, you are a barrel of laughs Alexandra.” The sad thing was that Phineas had been mistaken for a female on a previous occasion. It had only happened once, but it was enough to scar Finny forever. He had been playing dress up with Leita because he was having a lapse of gender identity, and he let her dress him. It wasn’t like he had been wearing a skirt and heels or anything. But his jeans were WAY too tight for him to be male, and the shirt he had been wearing was pink. But it wasn’t like he was actually built like a female! The guy might have been drunk, Phineas wasn’t totally sure. He was just so creeped out that he had to get out of that club as soon as possible. “I would just like to state that for the record I am one hundred percent man. Don’t make me prove it because by now you should definitely know that I am not afraid to.” Phineas reached toward the top of his pants and looked at Alex just daring her to doubt him. There was something about having his gender doubted that gave a male a sudden burst of confidence. That was how almost every male reacted when his masculinity was challenged, and Phineas was no exception.
Phineas perked at the moment to poke fun back at Alex. It wasn’t direct poking fun, but it was still poking fun in some kind of odd Phineas way. “Oh no. Arren and I are going to make sweet monkey love and make you watch. So you better prepare yourself.” Watching Phineas having sex with anyone would have been…interesting to say the least. Phineas would be the first to admit that he was into some pretty weird shit. He had tried his hand in the whole fetish deal. The only thing he really hadn’t tried had been feet. But Phineas had taken a vow never to try stuff like that. Feet freaked him out to no end, and foot fetishes and made him want to curl up in an abandoned corner somewhere and die. Yeah, it was that bad. Phineas had however tried bondage, an awkwardly large amount of foreplay and sex with multiple partners at the same time. It was fun when it was happening, but Phineas wouldn’t want to have to watch it happening. And it probably would be ten times worse for Alex because she’d be watching her brother… Talk about awkward and creepy. Creward. Yeah. Good word. “Just kidding. I wouldn’t want to have to watch you have sex with my older brother. No offense or anything.”
Phineas almost openly flinched at the mention of his own older brother. It had been a while since he had seen the dark haired law student. He actually stopped his thoughts for a second to let himself wonder how everything was going. Last he had heard, Edward and his lovely girlfriend would be getting married soon. Edward hadn’t proposed yet, but Finny had been forced to sit through a decade long dinner with them whispering sweet nothings in the others ear. Yeah, they would be getting married soon. Phineas was a pro at spoting that unfortunately. Phineas wouldn’t admit it out loud, but in some dark corner of his mind he actually missed the older boy. After all they hadn’t spoken in at least six months. Well Edward had made attempts, but Phineas hadn’t actually answered any of his letters or called the man back. He was a horrible brother, and now that he wasn’t sure if he would ever see his brother again he kind of regretted it. Edward had always gone the whole nine yards for his younger brother, and Phineas had never appreciated it. He had stuck up for him when they were in high school, and Edward had actually stood up for Phineas to their parents too. But Phineas always thought himself as too different from his brother, so he just automatically assumed that they could never be equal. Edward would just always be better and Phineas had to distance himself from that. Phineas took a second to swallow the lump of sadness that had formed in his throat. He was super lame. Phineas Andrew Lee !I've been sleeping with ghosts, I've been watching stars coming out of the sky. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Don’t get me wrong or anything, Phineas loved his groupies. He loved the free sex he received from them. Technically it wasn’t free. Phineas did actually have to play drums to get it, but he still got it. He found their little t-shirts that said ‘Save a drum, bang a drummer’ on them, and how they all said they got them because of him. It was cute, well sometimes. Phineas found it kind of cool that other people worked so hard to contribute all these great things to society, but all he had to do was bang on a drum and he got more recognition than they would probably ever get. He had hordes of screaming fans, and he had almost failed out of high school. But at the same time, Phineas didn’t really like his groupies. Phineas kind of felt like he needed to be a different person in front of them. He almost felt like he had to act like an asshole and ignore them after sex because they wouldn’t like him if he tried to be nice and offer them breakfast in the morning. That was pretty much the tell-tale sign that Phineas really liked someone. Blueberry pancakes in the morning was his biggest sign of affection.
Phineas much preferred the Phineas mode that he had been showing near the waterfall. He didn’t have to try too hard to make funny jokes or anything. He could just kind of hang out and be there. Phineas wasn’t sure if he was feeling that way because of Alex or because of the placement, deep in his mind Phineas knew it was a combination of both. Yeah, Finny liked this place, and he would definitely be back. And he liked Alex too, so he would definitely make more ‘Alex time’ in his schedule.
“Yeah, ‘letting Alex kill her hands and possibly herself’ wasn’t on my to-do list this morning. And I don’t plan on adding it.” Phineas nodded his head as his eyes scanned the waterfall. It didn’t look nearly as tall when you were at the bottom. It was probably because when you were at the top there was that feeling that someone was just going to come at you from behind and push you over. From what Phineas knew that didn’t often happen, but with his luck he’d be like the millionth customer and it would happen. “Okay I think I can manage to not drop you.” Phineas didn’t have to size Alex up all the way to know that he would be able to carry her. He would just have to be extra careful on any slippery rocks. While climbing down the rocks, Phineas had almost slipped a few times. Sure, it would have been disappointing if he had crashed down to his death while climbing rocks and being trapped on an island, but one person getting injured or dying wasn’t nearly as bad as two people. So Phineas really would have preferred not to take Alex down to death by rocks. Phineas would just have to be extra careful of where he stepped and stuff.
“Hey you said no more hitting! Cheater!” Phineas laughed as his hand was slapped away from the top of his pants. Oh how he wished he could say that was the first time that had happened. Instead of having his hand return to its place at the top of his pants, he dropped it next to his body and chuckled deeply. “Yeah, and don’t you forget it. Once you skateboard into a pool naked at a party you have no fear of being naked in front of people. He has absolutely zero fear of making an appearance.” Phineas nodded his head a bit with a look of sincerity playing on his features and he turned his eyes towards the water. He cringed a bit at his own joke and brought his eyes back to look at Alex once more. He had actually just referred to his man parts (teehee, man parts) as an actual person in front of a female. It would have been as bad if it was in front of a male. They kind of did that all the time. Well at least Phineas and the guys he hung out with did. Yeah, he deserved ninety-nine percent of the slaps he received from women. “Oh man, that was even creepy for me.” That was the great thing about spending time with Phineas. He wasn’t afraid to be a little creepy if he could get a good laugh out of it. And he was more than willing to admit when he was being creepy or weird. He wasn’t uptight in the least.
“’Young man’? Oh god Alex, you sound like my mom.” Phineas was lying of course. His mom did refer to him as ‘young man’ quite often because…well he had gotten in trouble a lot, but fortunately she never had to say anything like that to Phineas. Talk about an awkward situation if she had to. Phineas put on his best ‘mom’ impression as he spoke. His face slightly twisted into an expression of anger mixed with disgust. He placed a hand on his hip and the placed all his weight on one foot. “PHINEAS ANDREW LEE! What are you doing with little Suzy from next door? Is that even legal!?” Phineas dropped his act a moment later and he returned so he was back in his usual lazy pose. He laughed a bit at the fake story he had made up. Of course it was fake. Suzy from next door had turned out to be a lesbian. But that was kind of how his mother had reacted when she walked in on Finny and his first boyfriend. But fortunately she had never actually spoken to Phineas directly about that one day. She knew better than that. She understood that if she had tried, Phineas would have made the situation as uncomfortable for her as possible. God, Phineas did love the fact that he never felt awkward. Okay maybe that was a lie. He did feel awkward sometimes, but that was for different reasons than the average person
For some reason, Finny just completely zoned. He was so lost in his own thoughts about how bad of a brother he was that he forgot where he was, and what he was doing there. He forgot that Alex was sitting next to him and the fact that they had been in the middle of a conversation and that he was just being an overall weirdo that day. What if Edward had already gotten married? What if he had just given up on trying to befriend his younger brother all together and just hadn’t sent an invitation? What if he was currently sitting in some kind of champagne with his pretty new wife and his lawyer parents that were absolutely sparkling with how proud they were of their son. And Phineas wasn’t there. He had never been there, and he’d probably never be there. And eventually Edward would forget what his brother looked like and then his name, and then he would forget that he had a younger brother to begin with. It was up to him to ‘carry on the family name.’ Phineas had to admit, at least to himself that the thought stung him a bit. To just slip into absolutely obscurity and be completely forgotten just like that, it was exactly what Phineas had been afraid of. And there was no doubt in his mind that that was exactly what was happening at that very moment.
Phineas struggled to swallow the second lump that had formed in his throat. It was weird that he hadn’t be brought out of his thoughts by a hand touching his face, but he was finally pulled from them when he heard his name called quietly. As his surroundings registered in his brain, he could only really think one thing. Goddamnit. If Alex caught him at a weaker moment he would have been some kind of crying mess. And Phineas hated crying, especially when he was in front of other people. Because the crying person was not the kind of person that Phineas was. And he couldn’t stand to be perceived that way. So instead of fretting on his brother, Phineas pushed those thoughts aside. They could be saved for another time. Another time when he was not in front of other people. “Sorry about that.” He shook his head; it almost seemed that he was trying to shake the thoughts from his brain. And it worked, at least for the moment. His semi self-destructive thoughts would no doubt return. But he would be able to deal with them later. He had more important things to focus on right now. Like getting him and Alex back home. The corners of Finny’s mouth turned upwards into his smile again. He almost immediately felt better. That smile probably not only looked better but it felt better for him. “I tend to zone sometimes, but it’s all good.” alexandra! outfit: clickeh!lyric credit: the astronaut - something corperate. word count: one thousand five hundred and forty! notes: wow. i really wasn't nice to phineas when i made him. he pretty much has like 8959642 things wrong with him. eh. i feel bad. .xAlexandra Tuckerx. And it only took a look to see that everything we wanted could never be.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.
Finally Alexandra realized it was nice here, it was nice jsut sitting and talking with someone for once while the rest of the world passed by. Alex coun't bring herself to like these nice things though. She sighed as she sat there blinking slowly in the bright sunlight, she didn't liek having things she liked in life because she always ened up having them taken away for that. Phin and the waterfall were no different then her guitar, her dog, anything she'd ever had. She always ended up loosing those nice htings in life in one way or another, whether it was her mom taking it away because it wasn't good for her or just how things happened, the world always ended up having to take these thing away from her to kee her going. Even Arren was begining to fade from her grasp, something she had tried to hold onto for so long.
The facts were that he one day would leave her too, for his life that he needed to have, taht she wanted him to have. An electric charge ran up Alexandra's spine as she closed her eyes for a moment trying to will away her silly thoughts. Yeah one day she would loose these good things, but it wasn't like she couldn't find more, Phineas had showed up after a lot of loss after all hadn't he? The thought had Alex shaking her head slightly to get rid of her previous thoughts, "just let life happen" is what her mom had said, like that had ever done her any good. She just had to close off her mind to her stupid backtracking mind as she listened back to what Phineas was saying.“Yeah, ‘letting Alex kill her hands and possibly herself’ wasn’t on my to-do list this morning. And I don’t plan on adding it....Okay I think I can manage to not drop you." She didn't even really realize she couldn't bring herself to look back over at him as the shimmering light of the sun reflected itself off in a thousand little colors, holding onto her dazing.
Ok that's good.
She couldn't tell whether she was really answering anything he had just said or if she was just randomly muttering nonsense, in either case she knew she couldn't just try to fall back into herself. She had to break out of this little self contained world of hers where she was always worrying of fretting over things. So kind of pinching herself awake Alex turned so that she was facing Phineas again and smiled gently, anything was better then just dazing off and trying to tackle her own demons. And it deffinetly improved her mood to see Phin's smiling face, in fact it wasn't just that smile that always seemed to help. Everything about Phineas was kind of bright, his whole attitude, his rediculously light hair which she loved for being Phin's, and then there was the smile again. Alex smirked to herself realising this is what people looked like when they were really alive, something she'd never be able to learn in a million kagillion years.
It was a sad realization but Alex knew it was true, it was like how if you took a wild animal out of the wild when it was young, raised it yourself, and then tried to put it back, it just couldn't survive. Darling mother had made sure of Alexandra ending up like that. The thought of the prepped and prim, tight lipped woman with those perfect blonde curls had Alex dazing again, luckily though as her hands curled into fists again the shock of the pain made her thick lashes flutter a little.“Hey you said no more hitting! Cheater!” The sound of Phineas talking kept Alex from looking down at her hands and back up to him. It took her a moment but Alex pulled herself enough back together to pull a half arsed smile onto her face as she laghed, it was off though, a little breathy and weak. For a moment as she was there Alex felt her first flash of heated anger at this silly situation. Beneath her false smile Alexandra pulled every curse out on her mother and knew she had to get home soon. Today just wasn't goign to...wait.
Alex would make this work. “Yeah, and don’t you forget it. Once you skateboard into a pool naked at a party you have no fear of being naked in front of people. He has absolutely zero fear of making an appearance.” It took her a moment to throw all thoughts, memories, and feeling of her past out that window in her mind but after they were gone and Alex focused back in on Phineas she felt a more natural, comforatable smile slide onto her rosey lips and a good smile broke through. One that just made Alex feel better to let out. Because she could focus on how strange and funny it was that Phineas was comparing his....well his.... the "manhood" of himself as a person. It was a shocking thing to come back to but Alexandra didn't care, at least she was coming back to the real world talking with Phin. Still shaking her head slightly Alex pressed her palm over her eyes giggling a little“Oh man, that was even creepy for me.” Her fingers spread a little lettig her peep through at this comment as she smiled.
Well hopefully, can't say it was a very "normal person" thing to say.....I'm almost wondering if allowing you to carry me is this good idea, but hey what can I say it was a "Phineas" thing to say. So everything's normal really!
She kept smiling because it felt comfortable around Phineas and just shrugged and let her hand fall back down to her side as she rolled her eyes at the last thing. Yes she would just have to keep remembering she was dealing with Phin here. “Young man’? Oh god Alex, you sound like my ___.. PHINEAS ANDREW LEE! What are you doing with little Suzy from next door? Is that even legal!?” Alex erased the whole m-word from her mind a she spoke just trying to avoid that subject and just giggled at Phineas' ridiculous reenactment. Bitting her lower lip Alex tried to keep the giggling from bursting out into hysterics, the overloaded laughing that Alex broke into when guys did the whole girl thing, she couldn't let Phineas know she had a weak spot. So she bit onto her lips harder and just tried to sit through it but in the end ALex just let out on shart laugh before sighing.
Well that's no fair, I love the word "young man". Specially since it has no relevance here considering you're like three or four years older right? It's a fun thing to use.
But she sighed and looked down because she couldn't avoid bringing the mother thing up with it. At least Phin had a mom, who let him mess around, and screw up his own life or go places when he wanted to. Just because. It took a couple of seconds to ward away her own mother's words from flooding her head before Alex raised ehr head again to Phineas, and there was that face. That horrible void of smiling there on his features. It was for her not to feel bad and reach out to him in what she hoped was a helpful way. She was almost tempted to say "hey no being miserable, that's my job!" But she knew as she stood there that is was best to just let him work it out on his own. Soon enough he looked up again and Alex knew he was covering up his actions. “Sorry about that.” She let out a long breath hearing this. Phin apologizing for being a human being, it made her wonder.
Phineas I.....I know you have this whole Phineas Andrew Lee persona set up for everyone else out there. The fans and the band mates, but I'm not one of them. You don't have to apologize or hide for having emotions around friends.
Why was she talking so much when it was obviously wasn't the thing he needed right now., but somehow she knew it was in a way. Phineas probably didn't let out those emotions out enough in front of the people around him because he was too busy being the life of the party and all happy. It was probably true that no one in the world had seen this kid cry or anything like that sort, he seemed like one of those guys who just did that in the privacy of his own mind. Alex would have sad somethign else but he shook his head and Alex dropped her hand back away as he spoke. “I tend to zone sometimes, but it’s all good.” Zoning, yeah sure when pigs fly what you just did was zoning. But she just sighed and looked back up to the cliffs deciding to let this moment pass because it was obviously what he wanted.
So if we're gunna make it back up there anytime soon we'd better start soon right? With you carrying my stupid injured ass and me carrying that baby of your right?
A small half smile pulled her lips up as she glanced sideways over a shoulder at where he was still standing. She knew that they had just better move on adn let all the emotions pass as they left this place because one way or another they just both kept having these weird episodes on each other which was probably health for two people to be around each other, bt she wasn't exactly how sure she was that Phineas liked it so it'd be better just to leave.

Phineas Andrew Lee !I've been sleeping with ghosts, I've been watching stars coming out of the sky. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -“Well come to think of it, if you don’t like talking about my junk and how great it is then it probably isn’t a good idea.” Phineas laughed loudly and shook his head, signaling of course that he was joking. Now Phineas may have been on the strange side of the normality spectrum and he may have said a few…okay a lot of awkward things in his time but he wasn’t THAT creepy. Phineas couldn’t help but to laugh in agreement when Alex mentioned that because he was who he was everything he could have possibly said was normal. Oh, if only the kids in high school had shared that same view on him and his awkward statements. But alas, they did not. They would laugh at his statements, because they couldn’t deny that he was a funny kid. He had gotten the senior superlative of ‘class clown’ after all. But he would always receive a shove or two on the shoulder and a ‘You’re so weird Finny,’ from his friends and classmates sometimes. And while Phineas had learned to accept that he was just a tiny bit odd, it helped to be assured that he wasn’t a total freak every once in a while. Even if Finny wasn’t told that sometimes he would have been okay with it. He was who he was and he couldn’t change it even if he really wanted to change it. “You speak nothing but the truth little Alex.”
“Yes’m I am twenty-three years of age.” A head nod confirmed Alex’s statement about Phineas being a few years older than her. He wasn’t sure of her exact age, but Phineas was pretty good at guessing about those things. So he was just assuming twenty or twenty-one. Somewhere around there was his best bet. And Phineas was a whopping twenty-three years old. “I’m like the second oldest person in Containment…” It really wasn’t saying much considering there were really only four people in Containment and two of them were nineteen, but Phineas felt the need to occasionally throw out useful facts. “Oh god I’m so old.” Phineas didn’t really think he was old. It was all in jest. Phineas didn’t consider anyone really to be old or aged. ‘Age is just a number’ was how some people would put it. Phineas almost liked older people more than people in his age group. It wasn’t that Phineas thought they were immature and not worth listening to, older people just had so many interesting stories to tell. And normally when they saw that Phineas was genuinely interested in what they had to say, it made them happy that their voices were heard by someone somewhere. Even if it was by a twenty-three year old drummer who acted more like a child than an actual child did. Once again, Finny’s life revolved around making everybody feel at least a little bit happy.
Phineas almost opened his mouth to say something. To thank Alex for being understanding. To explain why he was the way that he currently was. To show that he trusted her with that information and knew she wouldn’t think of him differently. But he couldn’t bring himself to do that. He almost let himself slip and tell her that he wasn’t actually happy, and it would probably be a while before he experienced a real genuine happiness. But he knew better than that. He didn’t need any more pity; he got enough of that from his band mates. So instead of crumbling in front of her like a lot of people would have, Phineas kept himself completely composed. He didn’t even flinch. It was going to take a lot to make Phineas release any of his emotions. Maybe someone would manage it someday, but until that arrived, Phineas was perfectly fine drifting through his existence with a smile. “Thanks Alex. But seriously, I just had a zone moment.” Phineas wished she would just accent that excuse, because Phineas couldn’t come up with another good one fast enough for it to be believable. “I mean, just think about it. People always say, ‘Do what you love.’ Right?” How Phineas managed to continue his thought spew with that grin full of white teeth still on his face surprised even him. “Well I don’t love being sad, and I don’t love being angry either. So I just don’t do it.” Phineas shrugged his shoulders as he finished his explanation for his constant state of happiness.
Phineas realized a second later that this was the first time he had actually shared that much of his thoughts with someone. He didn’t choose to share that much of himself with anyone and nobody really cared to know more. That was just the way things worked. It made people happy to see a person who cared about nothing but having a good time, and Phineas lived for making other people happy at least. Everybody just assumed that he was some kind of completely blank person. That his mind was so shallow that he couldn’t even begin to make sense of deep thoughts. Well Phineas could register deep thoughts, he just refused to acknowledge them. Why bother acknowledging something that could turn your thoughts away from how great life can be? Phineas conveniently left out that he had spent six months locked in a dark apartment because he chose the wrong girl to try and make his fiancé. That was too heavy. Yet another thing that Phineas refused to acknowledge. When Phineas was around his band mates seemed to tip toe around the subject of marriage and people name ‘Stephanie’, but even when they mentioned either Phineas was unaffected. He had wasted enough time with his sadness and anger on the subject. It was over and done with. And Phineas had moved so far on with his life that he almost forgot. At least that was what it looked like.
Phineas turned his head to look at the cliffs as Alex made her point about starting out soon. He was definitely thankful that she had chosen to change the subject. If the conversation had continued much longer things would have grown even more awkward and Phineas probably would have revealed a few things that Alex really didn’t need to know about him. And well, neither of them really needed that at that particular moment in time. Finny’s mouth turned upwards into a grin and he nodded his head in agreement. Phineas snapped back into his regular persona that easily. Once again, it was just the way that he was and how he did things. “Yeah that’d probably be best.” Phineas extended the hand that held the skateboard towards Alex. “Remember, be gentle with Max here. He really is my baby.” Phineas chuckled a bit. The truth was he probably wouldn’t have been all that angry if she dropped it. Even if the board did snap in half, which it was definitely likely to do considering the rocks at the bottom of the cliff, Phineas would be all that angry. He might be a little disappointed. But there was nothing that some tacky glue and some duct tape wouldn’t fix. Okay, so maybe there were a few things but Phineas preferred to think that it was nothing important at least. Phineas refused to let himself be that attached to a material object. .xAlexandra Tuckerx. And it only took a look to see that everything we wanted could never be.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.
If Alexandra had woken up that morning knowing she was going to meet up with Phineas Lee, cut her hands and cripple herself to climbing, and then begin in on the subject of "special places" she really knew she would've stayed hidden under those covers and just tried to avoid it at all costs. Truth be told though now that she was here and actually doing it Alex felt more like she was one luck SOB....or DOB, whatever the girl version was called. She liked talking with Phineas about random things and laughing like she hadn't done since before Leigha was born. Just thinking the name for a moments time made Alex's back stiffen and her mind just went blank, there was that no talking zone that she hadn't bumped against in so long. The word made her head spin oddly for a second like the world was being shook like a snow-globe. “Well come to think of it, if you don’t like talking about my junk and how great it is then it probably isn’t a good idea.” Hearing this and his laugh coming from abouve her gaze Alex pulled herself together and locked away her heartache once again.
Yeah, and plus you probably get enough of that dirty sexy talk from all those lovely girls or yours right mister Phinny?
It had to be a common talking subject around the house with Phin and all those girls or something was seriously wrong with them. Or they might actually be normal like Alex and jus....nahhhh. She smiled and glanced up at his smiling face only to be caught off guard and have to blink a couple of times. Phineas was lit up like the fourth of July. His white blonde hair was lit by the sun beginning to pass behind his head and Alex could only smile, what an odd kid Phin was. “You speak nothing but the truth little Alex.” A little pout pinched her delicate pink lips together in a little pout at the words little. As if Arren didn't make fun of her size quite enough at home. The pout was the only thing Alexandra showed about her displeasure at the word though because she knew that complaining about such a matter to someone who didn't get the whole short thing was pointless.
So she just shook her head and sighed, he only spoke the truth too after all.“Yeah I'm twenty three years of age. I’m like the second oldest person in Containment…” It made her look back up again as he said this and she had to smile, she knew that Phineas was about that old but she never would have guessed the exact number and she had just found out a new fact about the band she so loved like her family. So she nodded slightly in understanding, so he was two years older than her, now she knew. It was the funny thing about Phineas though she just realised, if you didn't know him well enough he could just be a really tall 17 year old with his attitude. Age was funny like that, some kids can be ancients and some adult's never give up being a teen. "Oh God I'm so old” A little smirk arose hearng this and Alex did a little playful gasp at his words.
Oh no Phin! You really are soooo OLD! Quick where's the adult diapers and prune juice.
She knew they were both just jesting at the age thing. The best thing about being in your twenties is you really are so young and full of life while you can feel old and mature. She guessed it had something to do with the legal drinking deal or something like that, it made you be responsible for yourself more in a way.“Thanks Alex. But seriously, I just had a zone moment.” It made an eyebrow quirk up before the words registered and her hand yanked quickly away to wring nervously in the other. Alex never had been good in the whole comforting department so maybe it was better that she didn't have to with Phin, but she knew even over his excuse there was something wrong and not being able to do anythign made her feel stupid and useless, and rather bad inside. So she bit onto that poor lower lip again and just sighed, some people were meant for comforting and others were more for breaking down.
How funny that they were so opposite like that, her and Phineas. She appreciated people being around when she needed the support, but he was one of those guys who would sit in his house for hours to himself and just not say anything to anyone. So Alex shrugged off her attempt and just stood there giving him the space by taking a tiny half step back. What did they always say when little kids got hurt on the playground and everyone crowded around? "Just give him air" right? That's what she could remember from her own childhood at least and so that's what she did, just standing back and crossing her arms lightly over herself. “I mean, just think about it. People always say, ‘Do what you love.’ Right? Well I don’t love being sad, and I don’t love being angry either. So I just don’t do it.” Looking up at Phineas she smiled softly and nodded.
Makes sense. Sorry to try and press myself on you like that. I just am so used to being emotional myself that I think everyone else is emotional too. Sorry. She refused to go any deeper here. She hated throwing herself out under the bus in these situations so she merely rubbed the tops of her arms with her hands and glanced off towards the cliffs, balancing her weight carefully onto one leg more than the other before Phin's voice drifted above the sound of the crashing water and waves far off. “Yeah that’d probably be best.” She didn't bother looking back to him as he said that but just nodded in agreement. It was best that they were heading home now. Back to reality and brothers and apartments and just life. Oh joy, but she heard the skateboard thing and so turned and reached down for the board that Phinneas was holding out. For a moment when she was holding the smooth wooden object she just held it, stroking the smooth wood just getting lost in her thoughts for a moment, she traced the design and just let her mind wander for a bit. It was time to go though so she looked back up to Phineas curious as to what he wanted to do next.[/blockquote] .=.=.=.=.=.=.=. Phineas Andrew Lee !I've been sleeping with ghosts, I've been watching stars coming out of the sky. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -“Yeah that sounds about right.” Phineas had always been incredibly open about the details surrounding his sex life. He had abandoned all hope of building up some kind of filter between his brain and mouth a long time ago. Unfortunately for him sometimes he chose to be a little too open with the wrong people. This group included a few press members and some incredibly Catholic family members. And somehow when they reacted with gasps of horror or evil smirks, Phineas didn't notice. He really needed to build up that emergency filter. But that could be done at another time. “Trust me on this one Alex, those groupies are into some pretty weird shit.” Groupies just seemed to assume that Phineas was into all these weird things. Phineas didn't really mind, and he certainly didn't take offense to it, considering he was into so pretty weird stuff too. He just found it amusing. "I mean before I had fans and groupies and stuff I had never tried talking dirty, bondage, or role-playing." It wasn’t like Phineas wouldn’t have drabbled into those kinds of things anyway. With his overactive sex drive it would have been hard for him to not. He just happened to do it a little earlier than he had originally expected.
Phineas had to resist the urge to pinch Alex’s cheeks when she pouted. It was just so cute! Something in the back of his mind stopped him though, probably because he wanted to avoid getting hit again even if it didn’t really hurt. Somehow he managed to keep his hands by his side and smirk at her pout. Finny had heard Arren tease her a few times for being short, and well why shouldn’t Phineas join in the teasing just a little bit? Alex could easily tease him about being a giant. Okay, so maybe Phineas didn’t actually count as an actual giant or anything, but he did have quite a bit of height to him. And the fact that he had such a lean figure didn’t really help much at all. He had been called ‘String Bean’ a lot in high school, along with a few other names. As much as Phineas disliked being teased sometimes, he couldn’t really help but to laugh along with it. Because you couldn’t just go and let everything little thing that people said upset you. It had taken Phineas quite a bit of time to get that into his head. And after he finally understood that he got into a lot less fights in school.
Phineas burst into chuckles that he quickly contained for a few seconds. Prune juice? Now that honestly didn’t sound too appetizing. Then again, Phineas had never tried prune juice. The truth was that he had never really tried prunes in general. He made a mental note to do that when he got home later. Who knows? Maybe old people had the right idea in their heads when they chose to drink prune juice. Wait, adult diapers? Maybe they didn’t have the right ideas… oh well, Phineas would try prune juice. He would try anything at least once. His back bent in the middle and he placed a hand on his lower back in a motion that made him look like he was aged. His face scrunched up and the hand that wasn’t placed on his back pantomimed so it looked like he was holding a cane. “Where are my grand-kids!? Billy!? Where are you Billy?!” When he spoke his voice was raspy, and his eyes were squinted. Phineas dropped his charade a moment later, and burst into a fit of chuckles a moment later. This time he didn’t bother to hold his laughter back. Yeah, so maybe Phineas had some serious screws loose in his head. Or maybe the screws were screwed in just right and he chose to act like they weren’t. Either way, his behavior made hanging out with him a lot more fun. And well in Finny’s opinion you always had to have at least a little bit of fun.
“Oh, seriously, don’t even worry about it.” Finny mouth broke into a grin a second later signaling that he really didn’t mind. He didn’t really understand how someone could be mad about something like that. She was showing what to Phineas seemed like a genuine concern over his feelings (if he had actually chosen to acknowledge that they existed), and he couldn’t really consider that a bad thing. It showed that Alex was a good person, not that Phineas actually had to be convinced of that. He may not have known Alex for a long time, but he prided himself on being able to spot when people were genuinely good people or if they were just faking to get something they wanted. “I actually kind of appreciate it.” Nobody had ever really taken the time to ask Phineas about his feelings before now that he had actually thought about it. Maybe that was the reason that he had never really talked about them with anyone else before. They just all assumed that he wasn’t that deep because he was both naïve and overly happy. Phineas had actually assumed that about himself for a while too. And then all of a sudden he’d pull these thoughts out of the blue and feel emotions other than pure bliss or happiness. Those were never enjoyable moments for him. Fortunately though, these moments only seemed to happen when he was completely alone. “So, uhm thanks?” Phineas wasn’t really sure how he was supposed to thank someone for something like that. He probably could have just gone and assumed that the fact that he was thankful was understood by Alex, but Phineas assumed too much in his life already.
While Alex examined, or did what looked to Phineas like examining his skateboard, he took a moment to gaze at the rocky cliffs in front of them. He was searching for the best possible route. The best pathway would be something short and with a lot of rocks that he could easily grab onto. He wasn’t sure how well this whole carrying another person up a rocky cliff thing was going to work, but he had to try. He couldn’t just leave Alex down here, and the condition of her hands would only worsen if he made her climb up there on her own. When Phineas managed to identify the best possible route for them to travel he glanced back at Alex to find her looking at him. “Okay, well the path we have to take isn’t as short as we could have wanted it, but it’s our best option.” Phineas raised a hand to point to the path that he had identified. Yeah, carrying Alex up there wouldn’t be that hard. “Alright young lady looks like it’s time to go.” Phineas turned his back to Alex and bent his knees a bit to steady himself. Not that he was expecting Alex to be heavy or anything, but any extra weight could cause him to lose his balance. And Phineas needed all his balance. There was also a considerable height difference between Alex and himself. Phineas waited a few seconds for Alex to hop onto his back so they could set off.. .xAlexandra Tuckerx. And it only took a look to see that everything we wanted could never be.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.
It took Alex a moment but soon enough Phin's answer to her question ot actually register into her head. For a moment she had simply gotten a little lost in watching the surroundings as she often did randomly during conversations. One second she was asking him a very personal question and the next the funnily shaped palm tree behind her head was entertaining her by doing impersonations of various objects. As her gaze focused on it more completely she saw smiling faces in folds of the bark, the leaves looked oddly like kittens and yes, George Clooney was looking very much so like a coconut to her. "Yeah that's about right" It was Phineas answering her question that really brought her back from that little head trip and Alex had to blink rapidly a few times while looking up at his face before she could really answer.
Giggles caught slightly in her throat as she realized what a silly thing she really was. It had to be some sick form of ADHD or something like that she had because normal people certainly never acted like this she was sure. “Trust me on this one Alex, those groupies are into some pretty weird shit.” It took until this second reply for Alexandra to really start thinking back to what they were talking about. And she had to say she was kinda surprised when she did. Hearing what he was saying about him and his groupies had sudden images flashing through her head which for a moment caused her breathing to hitch a little as her mouth hung open with a tiny squeak of shock escaping slightly. She didn't really form any full images in her head for fear of what that would lead to but she was getting the general direction Phineas was going with at least. She saw big chested women, leather, and just oddities that probably came along with sleeping with the infamous "Phineas Andrew Lee". Feeling sudden sickness mixed with amusement Alex buried her head in her hands trying to blot out the images.
It was just she had heard too many thing, she knew too much about this other Phineas fellow for her to make the assumptions, but apparently Phin wasn't going to just leave it all for her to guess at."I mean before I had fans and groupies and stuff I had never tried talking dirty, bondage, or role-playing." It was this line that really made the images too much and Alex raised her head to stare up at Phineas with a slack jawed look of surprise at what he had just said. Looking up at the smiling kid in front of her though Alex refrained from screaming at him for brining up that stuff but then it really hit her that she was dealing with Phin. Of course he would just ramble about this and not give a care, he wouldn't be him if he didn't after all. So Alex couldn't help bursting out in soft laughter as she shook her head and cringed a little to show she didn't really find that pleasant to think about.
Dear lord Phineas!! Eww gahh you didn't have to bring up all the little dirty details of your wonderful life behinds closed doors! You really are a sick child.
She giggled still as she slapped playfully at his shoulder after all this. It was less of an actual hit and more like a kitten pawing out playfully, because as much as she was disturbed, she was more amused by the antics of her friend. Finally looking back up to Phin's face Alex smirked a little and sighed. It was so perfect that after all this time of not talking to people the first friend she had made was this not so little strange boy, oh wouldn't mom be proud. While her mind was still processing the whole sex thing though a shiver ran through her spine that had her smirk fading away as she suddenly chilled just from little tinges of her own memories running through her head. Not really caring to bring too much more of it up Alex bit firmly onto her lower lips before turning her head away to stare at the ground to her side, her hands unconsciously running up and down her upper arms trying to dispel the feeling that she was so use to having around. In fact she was so used to the rouge wave randomly showing up and breaking her mood that it took Alex only a minute or so before it had passed.
Still she rubbed her arms up and down for awhile longer as she stood there, just to warm up from the sudden chill. Yet she managed to bring her smile back a little as she pushed her thoughts away and focused more on Phineas again, he may be weird but she still knew who the freak was here. A giggle rose a little at this thought because most people thought of her as the docile normal baby sister of Arren when really....well it was obvious no one really knew Alexandra Tucker very well. But then she got back into the little flow of things and pouted at the short thing, such a sad subject for her. It was fine when the person teasing her was only a smidge taller, but Phin here was no smidge. Looking up at his smirking face with her little pout still in place Alex crossed her arms in front of her in irritation, it really wasn't fair for a person as tall as him to be doing that to her. A moment later though Alex just had to smile and stick out her tongue once again in her childish manner at him before relaxing her pose and laughing a little too.
She froze a little upon hearing Phin's own laughter, probably about her earlier commenting of the oldness of him. It was a cute small chuckle but it had Alex smiling because anytime a friend was laughing around you was a good sign according to her brother, meant you two were getting along well enough. She let a short single laugh escape her lips before she caught onto what Phineas was doing. She watched with amusement as he hunched over clutching his back in a sudden perfect imitation of her uncle Curtis that had her laughter doubling. “Where are my grand-kids!? Billy!? Where are you Billy?!” Amused greatly by his little charade Alex covered her smirking lips with her free hand and just shook lightly with silent laughter. Having Phin around was like watching some weird sitcom going on. One minute something planned and normal, the next random bursts of something unexpected. Then he was laughing also and Alex just had to bite back her own laughter harder, what a funny kid he was as she had said earlier.
But then the laughter faded and Alex stared at Phineas' fallen face. Knowing perfectly well what a person who was hiding emotions looked like Alex cocked her head slightly at Phineas. As much as she wanted to pry further and know what he was feeling what he said had her bitting onto that lower lips again to keep back her questioning.“Oh, seriously, don’t even worry about it.” So there was going to be a walled off section of Phineas that Alex wasn't ever going to get to see apparently, she could fight her nature enough to respect him and not say anything. Right? Yes she could so she nodded to what he said and half smiled a little bit knowing when to let things go. Sighing a little she finally released her lower lips from between bitting teeth and sighed a little to get herself over it, why did she have to be so annoying nosey about everything that went on in her friend's lives? Maybe because secrets were no fun? At least she felt heavy carrying her own in life.
“I actually kind of appreciate it. So umm thanks.” This had Alex's perviously pinched brows smoothing a little to raise a good bit in surprise. Ok so one second she was fretting over being all pushy, and then this? What really got her was the actual fact that Phineas was saying Thank you. What was this a joke? It wasn't that he was a mean guy but never in a million year did Alex figure Phineas as a Thank you kind of guy. It was then that the open mouth shock on her face was noticed by herself and Alex gasped in a tiny little breath in attempt to wake up and she actually managed a small "umm ok, sure" It was way too light for Phin to hear probably but Alexandra was kind of loss at what to say to it. Anyone else would've gotten a hug hug and a No Problemo from her, but that didn't seem right to her for soem reason so she looked away for a moment trying to give Phineas a moment to just, well sort out whatever was going on in his head.
But when she looked away her gaze met only that large wall of stone that was going to be climbed soon. It made her cringe slightly as she imagined poor Phineas climbing that whole thing with her weighing him down. “Okay, well the path we have to take isn’t as short as we could have wanted it, but it’s our best option. Alright young lady looks like it’s time to go.” It was upon hearing this that Alex looked over to Phineas and where he was standing, a slight frown playing lightly across her lips at her as she looked back and forth between those rocks and Phin's waiting back. Then she looked down to her palms and sighed slightly.
Just don't leave me behind when you get up there aright?
It had just dawned on her that however light she was didn't matter. She couldn't be slung over Phin's back like a rag doll for that whole climb so instead she quickly moved past where Phin was holding out his board and began to near closer to the rocky cliff face. It was only a few quick strides before Alex was there at the base of the suddenly frighteningly large cliffs, but she simply groaned a little before reaching out to the first hand hold before trying to pull herself up. Even though the pain was duller than the original cutting Alex sighed and pulled back her hand a moment feeling the aching pain at the touch. Drowling a little in irritation Alex begrudgingly shrugged out of her finally drying cardigan and wrapped a small bit of it tightly around her right hand which she figured hurt more. Figuring it would do for the climb she began to reach up and begin climbing again when she noticed Phineas wasn't already climbing. Turning around to glance at him Alex threw all the rest of what had happened today out of her mind when she smiled back at him.
Come on slow butt. We have to get up there sometime today.

Phineas Andrew Lee !I've been sleeping with ghosts, I've been watching stars coming out of the sky. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -The fact that Phineas had finally came across a person (other than his parents and grandparents) that didn’t want to know the intimate details of his sex life made him chuckle a little bit. He smiled brightly and shook his head. “Oh Alex. I could go into such detail with my sexual adventures, that you might actually never want to talk to me again. But I won’t do that to you. I’ll save that for another time.” Normally after a night of engaging in his typical frivolities he would quickly be swept into some kind of interrogation session by a band mate or a close friend. They would question him about almost anything you could possible think of. What did they look like? What was their name? Where did they do it? Did they use artificial romance enhancers or was Phineas man enough to keep them occupied? Were they into biting? Where were their weak spots? Were they moaners or did they choose to indulge in silent cries of ecstasy? There really wasn’t any kind of barrier between what Phineas kept private and what Phineas chose to tell others. Well of course there were the two main pieces of information about Phineas that he chose to keep to himself. But those things were different, or at least in Finny’s mind they were.
As one might expect, that certainly wasn’t the first time that Phineas had been called something along the lines of a ‘sick minded person’. Phineas had actually lost count of how many times he had been called that at about one hundred and two. He had been called it so much that when people were actually being serious when they said that to him, he would just laugh it off and call them silly buns. “Are you really sure I’m the sick child?” A blonde eyebrow perked in mock curiosity. Finny’s expression twisted into one of distrust, and his eyes narrowed with suspicion. “Or is that a cover because you want to know all the intimate details!?” Yeah, Phineas didn’t actually believe that Alex wanted to know these things. She didn’t exactly seem like the type to question him about his sexual experiences. He had been wrong before of course, but he didn’t really think he was wrong this time. “Because secretly you think I’m gorgeous. You want to hug me. Love me and smooch me.” Phin’s voice had a sing-song quality to it, and he did a slight dance motion back and forth as he lightly teased Alex. He was joking of course, he didn’t have that big of an ego. Well…maybe just a little smaller than that. Just a little though. He just pretended that his ego was bigger than it actually was because it always made things just tad bit more funny. And so maybe he had watched Ms. Congeniality the night before. Phineas would be willing to admit that. It was a good movie, and Sandra Bullock would always be on Phin’s list of top ten women he would have sex with even if they had an STD. Yes, he was that dedicated to the beauty that was Sandra Bullock.
Phineas almost chuckled at the confusion that had spread across Alex’s face when he thanked her. He had kind of anticipated that reaction from her. He tended to get it from people a lot. Not the reaction because he thanked them, but because he did something that was so unlike him. Well maybe it wasn’t unlike him, because Phineas could use any kind of word you could possibly think of to describe his personality. But everybody had their own unique things to say about Phineas. The men and women he had slept with would probably say that he was some kind of suave playboy that was manipulative and cunning and held some kind of power over people. However his band mates would describe him as immature and childish, but they wouldn’t deny that Phineas did kind of hold a power over people. It wasn’t like a mind control where he could get people to do all kinds of things for him (although he that would have been pretty awesome), but when he spoke he was interesting to listen to. Most people would claim that it was because he just said some of the oddest things they had ever heard. But people even did it when Phineas was doing something as simple as reading some items off of a grocery list. Oh whatever, it was probably just all in their minds.
Phineas blinked a few times stupidly before it finally registered in his brain that Alex had every intention of climbing up the rocky cliffs herself. The assertion that she didn’t plan on having him carry her up the cliffs was mega confusing to Phineas. How exactly was she supposed to do that? Didn’t her hands hurt? What if she slipped and fell or something? Then she would not only be in a superb amount of pain from both the fall and the rocks against her hands, but it was pretty much a given that Phineas would be in trouble as well. Despite the fact that Phineas had built up quite a pain tolerance over the years thanks to his many stupid stunts and visits to the emergency room, he never really enjoyed pain. Okay well maybe a tiny little bit. But that only happened when there was leather and a dominatrix involved. And Phineas was ninety-nine point nine percent sure that neither of those things were involved when it came to climbing up the cliffs. Hey though, Phineas wasn’t about to judge anyone for being into that type of thing. And Phineas didn’t really enjoy pain to the point that he liked to cause it to himself, and certainly not to others. Fortunately for other people that just wasn’t how Phineas worked.
Wait a second, was Alex teasing him? Psh! That simply didn’t happen in the house of Phineas. Well at least it didn’t anymore. “Who you calling Slow Butt? Ms. Cheater Pants over there, trying to get a head start on the star of his high school soccer team.” A childish tongue flew out in a joking manner, and Phineas face scrunched up in a way that made him look like he was eight years old again. Well he looked like that most of the time. For some reason people never believed him when he told them that he was twenty-three. Maybe it was the platinum blonde hair? Maybe it was the eyes that were so bright with life that they could have only possibly belonged to a child? Maybe it was the fact that Phineas had that stupid grin on his face twenty-four-seven. Phineas would never really know, and the truth was he didn’t care all that much about it anyway. The only part of Phineas that really gave away the fact that he was older than fifteen was his height. And even at his towering five feet eleven inches (Despite that fact that it was nearly impossible, Phineas and the other members of Containment could have sworn that the blonde was still growing at least an inch every year.) people still requested to see his ID at bars or liquor stores.
“Aww, can’t we just stay down here forever?” A small part of Phineas was actually being serious. He would have been more than happy to stay at the bottom of those cliffs. It was peaceful and it was pleasant, and that wasn’t something that Phineas got to enjoy often. So before he took the few strides towards the bottom of the intimidating cliffs, he stopped all his thoughts and just took a look around. He took a deep breath, and let the air fill his lungs before his eyes opened once more. Now that he had had his moment of peace, he was ready to go. Phineas took the few steps towards the cliffs, but before he set out he paused once more. This time he was moving the blonde bangs underneath his bright yellow sweatband out of his eyes. He was probably going to need a haircut soon…oh well, that could wait until another time. Phineas quickly tucked his skateboard under one arm and began his climb. The muscles of his legs and arms worked together in perfect unison as he climbed higher and higher until he was at the place where Alex was waiting. He did pride himself in being somewhat of an athlete. “Shall we go then?” He grinned at her, that stubborn piece of blonde hair still in his eyes.

.xAlexandra Tuckerx. And it only took a look to see that everything we wanted could never be.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.
Why did Phineas come down here today of all days? As she stood there considerately looking up at that smiling face Alex's lips pulled up just tiniest bit into a equally considerate smile, because she was thinking of Phineas quickly becoming a friend. Something Alexandra had cut out of her life for such a long time, that realizing she had one now made her heart beat a little faster. It wasn't the quite pace of a girl freaking out before her first kiss, or of making a wrong decision and having to face the consequences. It was merely that in recognition of her being happy her heart wanted to let her know this felt right. It was tired of having to deal with her everyday sadness and hardship. “Oh Alex. I could go into such detail with my sexual adventures, that you might actually never want to talk to me again. But I won’t do that to you. I’ll save that for another time.” It interupted her little self absorbed moment but Alex's smile grew wider as she let a short, amused laugh pass her lips.
Yeah we'll just have to save that for a rainy day how about? I don't want my sunshine dimmed any by your scary stories.
She smiled again realizing that they probably would end up sitting somewhere while it rained outside, and Phineas would only to enthusiastically share past sex stories with her as she clutched at a pillow with wide eyes. The image of it in her head had her laughing again before she pursed her lips and smirked. Yeah that's what she would have to deal with from being around Phin for any amount of time. For a moment she wondered what Arren's reaction would be to his little sister hanging around with a notorious bad boy of the island before she realized she didn't really care. Sure she would have to accept some of those past events and try to convince her brother than none of that was occurring between them two in nay way, but it really wouldn't be that hard if Phineas could keep up this nice relaxed way for a while longer. A sigh passed over her lips though knowing men only too well. Although she was quickly finding herself drawn in by this easy smiling and funny kid, he could just as easily turn that around and be the exact opposite if her wanted.
She had learned the hard way that men weren't always how you wished them to be. Quickly following her theme downhill Alex glanced down a little, letting her gaze relax as she remembered her life lessons as they came back to her. Tyler had taught her that your knight in shining armor could really be the dark ugly twisted bad guy underneath it all, and all he had to do to change that was make that decision. It shook ALexandra a little but it had been a long time since she had learned that so now she merely looked up to Phineas again and smiled. She didn't really care about getting hurt any more, whether phsically or mentally because she had suffered the worst of the storm already and at this point things couldn't go down hill. All in all she just accepted that she was happy being around Phineas and that was good enough for her.
So she smirked again and closed her eyes for a little half second shaking her head a little realizing what she was doing. Why did she have to just over think everything in life? Her whole family and many a boyfriend had pointed out that flaw of hers before but it was only now that she was kicking her own mental butt over it. Annoying little thing it was. “Are you really sure I’m the sick child? Or is that a cover because you want to know all the intimate details!? Because secretly you think I’m gorgeous. You want to hug me. Love me and smooch me.” Looking up at his sudden questioning Alex's eyes lightened a little at this before she raised her own brow. Oh what a question to ask a lady those two were? But seeing Phin's own raised brows she giggled a little at how funny he looked when he did this. It was like someone had taken Dee Snider and Sherlock Holmes and twisted them into one crazy looking child. It was too funny to be serious and too serious to be funny so she only shook her head slightly before nodding with a smile. But then she realised that with his joking manner she needed to prod back a little
Yes i suppose I'd better come out with it then. I want to hear it all. I'm begging to hear all those deep dark details of yours Phin. Please oh Pleeeease tell me more! And of course, I fawn over the sight of you like all those other little girls all the time.
Ok so she hadn't used the desperate sexy voice in way to long. So she quickly decided using it on Phineas might just be amusing for her to watch. So as she spoke Alex moved forward a little, closing the space in-between them to one a coupe inches. As she did she managed to look up through her lashes and meet his gaze without turning her head up, giving the puppy dog look just slightly as she pouted lightly after finishing her words. To finish off the little charade, as she drew to the end of her speach Alex very light brought a hand up and "walked" her fingers up his chest while smirking widely. She had gotten her way with too many males using this little tactic and although she knew very well that Phineas was a hard, experienced man in the ways of womanly charm she still bet her couldn't ignore this completely....hell she had gotten a bike out of Arren with it. So as her fingers neared Phineas' neck she slightly let her lips part, her eyes darkly intense as she leaned up a little towards Phin's face. She was using it in a teasing matter after all though so after she was sure the distance between them and her acting had it's effect she wanted smiled impishly and leaned a little closer, barely touching Phineas' chest with her own, closing the gap between them to dangerously close, before spinning away and off off him to his side in a little skip. Oh wasn't she just trouble?
She giggled as her steps carried her further from him and she glanced back a little. Oh sure she had just pushed it a little, probably telling him she was indeed crazy enough to do stuff like and there fore not quite completely sane. But she did enjoy the little thrill she got from it. She had gone way too long without company and this is what Phin got for being her first victim. She sighed to herself in content as she reached the rock wall and looked over her shoulder a little before calling back. It was his quick response to her that had her smiling again though. “Who you calling Slow Butt? Ms. Cheater Pants over there, trying to get a head start on the star of his high school soccer team.” Seeing his own tongue fly out in such a childish matter had Alexandra scrunching up her own nose in amusement as she climbed a bit higher before settling on a rock that made a rather comfortable perch for herself. What childish antics they got into! She hadn't stuck her tongue out at someone this many time since Devon Fasona took her lollipop in the second grade and ate it in front of her.
Oh what? The amazing soccer player doesn't think the criple here needs a head start on you to keep up? What a compliment Phin! And I am no cheater thank you very much.
Her features relaxed a little and she used both hand to reach behind her and gingerly hold her frame up while she leaned back into her hold slightly. Sitting there with her feet dangling over the edge she kicked her feet playfully back and forth while she observed Phineas standing down below her a ways. He was kinda cute when he was actually looking up at you, well cuter in the way that the sun wasn't in her eyes and she liked looking down on people every now and then. “Aww, can’t we just stay down here forever?” She was caught off guard by the question and stopped her kicking a little as Phin started moving. What he said out loud echoed all her thoughts. She wanted to keep this little moment and place in time forever. Stick it in a snow globe and relive it any time she wanted. Her lips pursed a little as she considered this thoughtfully before sighing and muttering a small "i wish we could" lightly as she watched Phineas start climbing and close the distance between them.
She was frowning ever so slightly at the thought of leaving now. It was suddenly scary thinking that her and Phin might not talk again, that things would eventually change between them, and like everything else in life she would end up loosing him in one way or another like everything else. It was just how life worked and she really was a b!tch in the end of it all. She hardly focused as Phineas made his way up to where she was sitting, but at his light playful tone of voice she abandoned her previous thoughts and glanced up to his smiling face and couldn't help her smile coming back too. “Shall we go then?” Hearing his question Alex sighed and pushed herself up as quickly as she could without hurting her hands too badly and glanced up to his face with a quick nod at what he had said before she frowned once again. Reaching quickly up she gently pulled a stray bit of hair back from where it was hanging in Phineas' face before tucking it expertly into his headband. One of the perks of being a girl was you were automatically good at these thing. She figured tha tit would've gotten a little in his way during the climb, so when she was sure it was put in there well enough she stepped back a little and smiled. At the end of the day Alex just couldn't help that motherly instinct kicking in so she merely had to do this thing. Yup now they were ready.

Phineas Andrew Lee !I've been sleeping with ghosts, I've been watching stars coming out of the sky. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -“I knew it. Well I can’t say that I blame you, I mean I am quite…the beautiful…man?” The last word came out in more of a questioning tone that Phineas hadn’t originally intended to put there. It kind of made him sound like a sexually confused teenager again. Okay so maybe Phineas had never really gone through a ‘sexually confused teenager’ phase. And that just made things even more odd. Things at the bottom of those cliffs just seemed to get more and more weird and Phineas wasn’t really sure what to make of the situation. Suddenly Alex was a lot closer to him than she had been moment earlier, and she was doing that hand-walking thing on his chest that girls seemed to enjoy doing. That hand-walking thing that although no man would admit out loud drove them just a little bit crazy. When Alex took that step towards him, closing the gap between them just a few inches Phineas almost took a step back as if he was intimidated. And well maybe he was just a tiny bit. Once again, something he would never admit out loud even if you paid him. Okay well maybe if you offered him fruit roll-ups and Hawaiian punch. He felt his temperature rise just a bit, and his cheeks flushed a very light but noticeable pink to match. Now what exactly was he supposed to do in that situation? Turn and run? It seemed a viable option.
Phineas stood there, completely slack-jawed for a few seconds, not bothering to hide his surprise when Alex took that sudden step backwards and walked towards the cliffs. His mouth wasn’t quite agape, but it was slightly open almost like he was about to say something but couldn’t quite find the words. He blinked few times stupidly before gathering his thoughts up and piecing them back together again. There was something about blinking stupidly that made Phineas able to collect his thoughts and get them into the right order faster. Maybe it was because he was so focused on his own thoughts that he forgot somebody else was standing before him. People did tend to do some weird things when they forgot there were other people with them and thought they were alone. That pretty much went double for Phineas. Especially considering the fact that he did odd things when he knew people were actually watching him. Phineas struggled for just a moment to swallow the lump that had formed in his throat. No matter how many sexual encounters he had, and no matter how much his reputation as the ultimate playboy grew, Phineas was still a male, and all males had a few specific weaknesses that if found could easily be exploited.
Was he even talking to the same Alex anymore? Phineas wasn’t totally sure if he was. Maybe she had been abducted by aliens and brainwashed in the time they had been down there, or maybe she had some kind of evil twin that had switched with her when Phineas wasn’t looking? Phineas didn’t take into consideration that Alex already had a twin, and neither Alex nor Arren were what Phineas were what Phineas would consider ‘evil’. But neither of those things could have possible happened, because Phineas pretty much hadn’t turned his back on Alex since he had gotten here. He had averted his gaze, but not long enough for either of those things to happen. So clearly, Alex must have just had two sides. This was somehow the same girl that had been crying earlier and had punched him in the chest for reason that he still wasn’t sure of. And suddenly she was teasing him in that warped manner that females chose to tease their male counterparts. It was almost like some kind of complete turnaround, it was kind of freaky. “Well, aren’t we just the secret little minx?” Phineas laughed a bit, as he watched Alex walk away; an expression of disbelief still playing across his features. “Now that is going to get you into trouble, or maybe out of it?” The second one definitely seemed more likely than the first.
Phineas watched carefully as Alex moved herself from her perch so they could continue climbing again. When she was back in the proper position once more Phineas just smiled brightly at her. He stayed perfectly still as the brushed the blonde hair from his eyes. Whether it was just done to help him or it was an affectionate gesture Phins’ cheeks flushed a bit again. “Thanks.” Phineas hadn’t even really noticed the lock of hair. The bright yellow colored strands were always in his eyes, and he had just learned to ignore them after a while. Oh the things you sacrifice to be beautiful. He had heard her sigh and decided it was time for some cheering up. Phineas fully intended on staying friends with Alex, and returned to the cliffs with her at some point in time. He wasn’t sure when that would be, but Phineas didn’t like to know things ahead of time anyway. “Oh and just for the record, if I am a slow butt then you are definitely a cheater pants.” He scrunched up his nose once more and his tongue flew out childishly once more. Oh there was nothing quite like teasing childhood nicknames to cheer you up slightly.
Phineas still kind of wished people actually teased like they did when they were younger. Somehow ‘stupid meany-face’ seemed a lot less cruel than ‘fucking stupid douche bag that slept with my sister’ (Phineas would have preferred not to talk about that incident). You had to grow up sometime though right? Not if you were Phineas. Phineas would always have the Peter Pan complex. He had actually been compared to the boy that would never grow up quite often. And of course Phineas took them all as compliments. After all, it was one of his favorite childhood movies and his favorite story. Because who actually wanted to grow up anyway? Who wanted to put on a suit and tie and get up and six o’clock every morning to work some tiresome and meaningless job? Phineas was sure there had to be a few people out there who enjoyed their tedious lives, but Phineas wanted every day he lived to be different and exciting. Eh, maybe that was just a ‘Phineas thing’ though.
While they were climbing, Phineas was careful to make sure that he stayed a step or two behind Alex. Not because he couldn’t keep up or anything, of course he could. But more for the reason that Alex’s hands were still injured, and Phineas knew you could never be too careful about this type of stuff. He had fallen from many a roof and other high-up objects because he lost his grip. Phineas could only assume that it was even more difficult to keep your grip when you had some fresh scratches on them. Phineas doubted that he would be able to think fast enough to grab at Alex and quickly save her if somehow she slipped and fell. But it was at least worth the courtesy to try, and maybe he’d be able to if he paid attention. He really should have been paying attention. But he was Phineas, and that was a good enough reason for him to not be paying attention. The skateboard that was tucked underneath his arm turned out to be more of a burden then he initially expected it to be when he set out that day. It bumped into rocks and occasionally started the slip from its placement and his grip started to loosen. But somehow Phineas managed to keep the darkly painted and smooth piece of wood tucked under his arm..

.xAlexandra Tuckerx. And it only took a look to see that everything we wanted could never be.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.
She knew right away when the thoughts began coming up in her head that Alexandra was playing with fire. She knew 100% in her mind that she was stepping into Phineas' territory and the fact that she was going to be doing this was utterly ridiculous because this boy....well man had too much experience with women acting like this. Still that little smirk rose to her cheeks as she swallowed up whatever protests her mind would give to this and began to lean in. It was only when she was fully engaged in her act though that the effects of her actions began to emerge, primarily in Phin's talking.“I knew it. Well I can’t say that I blame you, I mean I am quite…the beautiful…man?” The laughter was barely held in as Alex's nails lightly trailed against Phineas' chest as she glanced up to his face, bitting lightly onto the side of her lower lip as her eyes crinkled a little in barely controllable and quite impish smile.
Oh yes this had to be the best thing she had ever seen in her life. She had known that boys would bumble at her actions most of the time during this, some getting that glassy eyed look to them, but coming from Phineas? She watched his expression carefully as it went from a confidant smile, into a slightly confused face, and then eventually turned into the whole "What the fuck is happening" look. If she hadn't been anyone other than herself she would have giggled in enjoyment and pranced about in complete victory. She held onto her little smile though as she stood there for a half a second, but she wanted him to sweat it out a bit. That was when she playfully spun about and walked off, ok so there was a little prance to her step but hey she had to show something in a moment like this. She knew fully well the thoughts spinning about Phin's head right now. They probably weren't too different from her own at the moment in fact. Where was the girl that had been sobbing about memories of a dark past, the girl that had been flipping out over small trivial things that really didn't matter.
Fact were that little Alex was still there. She was locked up subconsciously and screaming all her protests in vain. Yeah she was heard slightly and Alex did consider the fact that she may be royally screwing herself playing around with guys again, but hell this side of her had been hidden away from the world for way to long and at this point she really didn't care for rules or anything from herself. So yes this was the little two face playoff going inside Alex at all times, so maybe she was bipolar or something like that, so what? Facts were Alex was happy to be skipping off away from her friends form because this wasn't her usual self and that was enough to make Alex happy in any situation. Another thing was that Alexandra had finally found someone who she could....well she was hoping she would able to, be like this around for a long time. She knew her brother was always alright with her acting like this but most people who knew her well enough thought she was crazy when she did stuff like this, now Phineas was going ot be poor victim number two. “Well, aren’t we just the secret little minx?” She only smirked over her shoulder a little as she strode off, thrilled inside at the little funny nickname.
Of Phineas poor thing you. You have no idea what you've gotten into.
She smiled a little at the second part that was spoken softly more to herself as she continued walking. It was a tad odd not just telling him bluntly to his face that he was getting into some pretty deep trouble being around her. She had said it because she knew in her head that she really shouldn't be getting close to people who she liked because she didn't want to have to trouble them, but Phineas was becoming different. Sure she liked him like she had all those other friends she had tried to leave behind for their own sake, but at the moment she wanted to be selfish and not loose him, she wanted this odd friendship they had going between them two too much to just shrug him off and try to leave like she always had. Her smile sobered up a little as she wondered why she was even bringing this up, hadn't she just been saying how she liked the whole happy, no cares thing she had been pulling earlier?
She shook her head a little trying to dislodge her thoughts before Phineas thankfully stepped in and did that himself for her. “Now that is going to get you into trouble, or maybe out of it?” She didn't turn back this time as she pulled herself up to mount her little sitting spot on the cliff. What he had said made her smile though as she considered that in full, leaving her troubled thoughts behind. Just staring down as her covered hand she smirked to herself at this thought, maybe if she could pull it off like other girls did it just might turn out to be handy, no more driving tickets or troubles. This time she glanced down to Phin as he began to make his way toward her, oh yes it could stir up quite a lot of things if she wanted. Then she reached out when he was close enough and tucked that hair away. It hadn't really been meant for anything other than a helpful gesture but all of a sudden she was focused on that blush on his cheeks. "Thanks" And then she was taken aback...
She felt a little flutter in her chest all of a sudden. It was a rather odd sensation but not necessarily a bad one. Definitely familiar to her though which is why she was taken aback. She had just been thinking how cute Phineas was when he blushed at her little affectionate gestures and it had happened. She had felt a thrill of happiness like she hadn't in a long time which is why she blushed so suddenly herself and turned a bit before lightly coughing. It was then that she winced to herself a little "great subtlety hun" she nearly shouted to herself. She was never good when her emotions got out of hand and not to mention this definitely wasn't the right when or where for herself to be getting out of hand “Oh and just for the record, if I am a slow butt then you are definitely a cheater pants.” She glanced over to Phineas and could have jumped the boy for so gratefully changing the subject at that moment, then she winced again. Stupid thoughts
Oh now is that right!? Well i don't know how well I look in cheater pants but seeing as you are definitely a Mr. slow butt then I guess I'll have to take it.
Sometime Alex really was convinced she was bipolar with how her emotions flipped around so quickly but at the sight of Phin's silly pink tongue sticking out in their little childish manner she couldn't help the happiness flooding back through her, so she was working on keeping it that way. She particularly enjoyed how the two of them could act like complete six year olds around each other so easily, something only she and her eldest brother had ever been able to pull of on account of she was always his baby sister and he loved her baby talk enough to speak that way himself as they grew up together. She sighed at that little thought of Andrew and got a little lost in her thoughts again. Although very little but the fading of her smile was shown on the outside, on the inside Alexandra was suddenly panicking at her own subject. She had been careful to avoid the Andrew subject for a while but his name coming up made her worry every time quite successfully.
She worried because she had gone so long without her largest brother's voice. He had left so long ago that the memories were the only thing really keeping her together when she thought about him. She could only go so long without a call from his before she panicked though. It only took her moment to fade into her thoughts completely and give a shaking sigh before the images popped up like a slide show. Although she never saw his face in these scenes really she panicked seeing the bodies getting holes punched into them with bullets, of bodies falling to the ground, of war. She didn't bother with feeling anything any more at these images, she merely felt a weight on her chest because she knew very well any day her brother might be one of those, but she'd never be able to change that. It took her a second of recognition of her thoughts before Alexandra freaked out and tore herself from these thoughts and back to turn silently to the cliff face and began climbing without checking up on Phineas' consent or reaction.
She didn't know why she got triggered so quickly in life but as Alexandra climbed steadily she tried drowning out her little questions by focusing everything on the climb. For a while the rocks before her blurred as little collections of tears made their way subconsciously into her eyes. It was ridiculous for her emotions to be so out of check but as the sudden sadness was fading Alex sighed and became thankful only the rocks had seen her tears, she really didn't want to have to explain herself to Phineas. Phineas. With a start Alexandra realized she had been moping too much to notice how fast or slow she was going or anything about her surrounding. She paused for a moment in her climb to lean against the cliff face and check herself. Glancing down she cursed quickly, she hadn't noticed the little cuts opening up again and bleeding ever so slightly but now she was slightly angered, when she got home she was just going to be a mess having to deal with Arren and his big brother syndrome.
Then Alexandra noted that she was actually quite tired now that she had taken a break to register it. A puzzled look crossed her features as she looked up from her injured hands, and gasped seeing the edge already just feet away. She hadn't realized really anything that whole climb except that in her state of mind she just had to keep moving forward, and apparently that had worked pretty efficiently. She gasped in shaky breaths of joy as she quickly and efficiently scrambled up the next few climbs before she was up and over the edge of the cliff. Then she collapsed flat against the floor and smiled as her face layed gently against the warm brown dirt of the hillside she had left early this morning. She was just happy all in all to have made it all the way up the great cliffs that had scared her so badly at one point, she felt accomplished. Smiling still though she lifted her head and eagerly army crawled with her elbows over to the edge again before glimpsing down on Phineas' still climbing form, they really had made it. As she watched Alexandra felt flooded with a happy feeling that luckily kept away her bitterer thoughts from herself. She would think about having to go home and deal with everything else later, right now she was just happy as she smiled down at Phineas
