'CAUSE I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO WHENEVER YOU'RE NEAR OH BABY, YOU MAKE ME JUST WANNA YOU MAKE ME WANNA PIN YOU DOWN AND TEAR YOU APART
Mandy smirked looking at all of the rides and roller coasters. This was probably one of her favorite places to go. Luckily, she was tall enough to go on all of the rides. She found herself pushing her sunglasses toward her face. The girl didn't even know why she bothered trying to hide her identity. Her pink hair was a dead give away. She shook her head, refusing to blame her problems on her hair. Though, it was the start of her problems in the first place, but it lead up to her being in a famous band, so she didn't mind.
The only one of her family to talk to her was Alex, he was the nicest of the family. At least to her, to everyone else he was pretty moody. The girl smiled at the thought. That would show Maria just how special they both were. Suddenly, her smile was tugging away by the thought of Maria. She was the perfect sister seemingly, she was still in school with probably straight A's and a quarter back boyfriend. By now she's probably captain of the cheer leading squad. Shaking her head she refused to think of the disdain for her sister.
She decided to think of something better. The girl found herself looking at a gigantic roller coaster. Smiling to herself, she went forward toward the even more monstrous line. It seemed she came on a busy day. Sighing she looked in her bag wondering what she could do to pass the time. She found herself looking at her I-Pod. It was a good way to pass the time, not to mention she liked to hear the drums in each song. It gave her new beats, rhythms, and ideas for solos. She loved her drums, but as much as she did it was hard to fit it into her bag.
Putting the ear buds in her ears she waited for the line to move. As the song Teenagers by My Chemical Romance came on she felt herself smirk. She remembered her days as a teenager. She lived her life in the same way. In the shadow of her younger sister. It was bad enough for her to fit in the footsteps of her older brother but her younger sister was too much. She was glad to be away, but also secretly sad that her parents didn't seem to care enough to call her. It was only her brother who did, even then it wasn't too often. Mandy truly loved her brother but would often find herself dreaming of what it would be like to have a family that was proud of her. The girl shook her head, there was no use crying over wine that was already spilled.
The girl closed her eyes feeling the suns rays hit her skin. It was nice for her having this warm feeling. Suddenly she felt herself being tapped on the shoulder. Mandy turned around bringing her sunglasses toward the bridge of her nose. She quickly pressed the pause button on her I-Pod. "Yes...?" She asked more then said to the person that had tapped her, wondering what that person wanted.

hey there! wanna have some fun? just jump jump jump and take a run!
Will squinted against the bright sunlight as he left the shaded area of the refreshment stand. Had it always been so bright? He shrugged to himself and took his sunglasses from out of his shirt, fitting them over his face as he started walking. He was pretty excited about being at Theme Park since he really hadn’t had a chance to just unwind and enjoy himself. Well no, that was a lie. He always enjoyed himself, but it was nice when he actively sought out a way to make himself happy. As he passed a group of teenagers, he was pleasantly surprised by the fact that he was still basically one himself, it was so much easier getting around when people didn’t think you were a rockstar. Well, kind of one anyway. Only one person so far had actually come up to him to say they thought they recognized him. He’s easily batted them away with an excuse: ‘Nope, just here with my lame family’
He bit his lip as he came upon the directory, wondering where he should wander to now. There was a label for a rollercoaster that he hadn’t been on, so he decided he would go that way. It was actually quite easy finding the roller coaster. All he had to do was look for the enormous line that trailed all the way close to another, less popular ride. He briefly considered not going on it, but when he noticed that the coaster looked quite awesome from where he was standing, he decided he’d wait. It couldn’t be that long, right? He hurried to the end of the line, having spotted a group of people that were going the same way; he didn’t want to be ay further than he already was after all. He let his attention drift to the person standing in front of him. Basically, all he said was massive pink hair. It was kind of cool because, well the person had pink hair! Not too mention, their outfit was kind of cool too. All bright colors and stuff.
He was going to leave his admiring at that, he wasn’t really looking to attract attention anyway, but he figured they were probably going to end up next to each other on the ride. So, he reached out a hand and tapped the girls shoulder, for that’s who they were because he doubted a guy would be walking around with a bright yellow skirt on. “Yes…?” He grinned as she turned around, and spoke up. “Hi there! Looks like we’re going on the same ride. I’m Will!” He was his usual cheerful and friendly self, even as confusion clouded his brain. The girl looked familiar, but he couldn’t place her. Surely you would remember someone with vibrant pink hair, right? He shrugged inwardly and chalked it up to him being in contact of too many ‘scene’ people. After a while, they kind of blended into one huge person. Which was a very unpleasant and scary thought.

'CAUSE I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO WHENEVER YOU'RE NEAR OH BABY, YOU MAKE ME JUST WANNA YOU MAKE ME WANNA PIN YOU DOWN AND TEAR YOU APART
Looking at the boy she smiled. At least someone was trying to make an effort to talk to her. Though, he didn't seem to be a big fan of Since Sin, either that or he didn't know she was a part of the band, either way she wasn't about to call him on it. Then again, he also seemed to be familiar. She raked her brain for a moment thinking of who he could be, what she didn't notice was that she was staring at him in the process.
Mandy bit her lip, making sure to make eye contact. "Sorry, hi" She said with a nod. "I'm Mandy" The girl said simply as a large smile pulled upon her face. He seemed nice enough. A lot like her in the way that he's outgoing at least. Maybe he's just looking for attention, but he seems nice enough. She was sure he was just being friendly, on an island like this it’s sometimes hard to come by, which brought her to the thoughts of the “princess” of the island. She knew that someone should have read over that contract, now she is sentenced for life to a place she doesn’t care to be. Then again, it isn’t so bad in other ways, but she does want to travel the world, she can’t do that from the island.
She felt a long silence begin. It was kind of awkward, for her anyway. "So, what brings you to the theme park?" She asked. Amanda closed her eyes and bit her lip once again. That was a stupid question. Chuckling at her own stupidity, she shook her head at herself. That was not a question one would ask when the answer was right in front of them. He was probably there for the rides. Oh well, her band mates all left her at the theme park as they went in search for food. Stupid band.
Looking back up at him she smiled again. "I'm sorry, but you seem familiar some how..." The girl said suddenly in a somewhat deep thought. She had to think of it. "Have we met before?" She asked tilting her head to the side. Mandy knew that they probably haven't, she probably would have remembered someone as outgoing as Will. Then again, maybe they met before she died her hair pink. Or, maybe he was in one of the bands...

hey there! wanna have some fun? just jump jump jump and take a run!
Will pushed his glasses from off of is face as he noticed the pink haired girl staring at him. Well, tried to at least. His hat got in the way, so he just pulled them off instead; they were quite unnecessary really. He was standing maybe two feet away from Mandy, so unless he wanted to be talking to a vague pink form, he decided to take them off. “Nice to meet you Mandy!” he said, inwardly chuckling at her name. He knew a Mandy; kind of. He knew of her. But this wasn’t the same Mandy because if it was, the universe was one funny person. Putting two members of a two bands in the same roller coaster ride. Silly universe. But, as he thought about it, he knew a lot of bands went places when they weren’t performing or not doing anything else. But if she was part of a band, surely her bandmates would be with her? Well, his weren’t with him so that idea was kind of illogical.
The silence started bugging him, and he quickly thought of a way to demolish it, but, it would seem it was doing the same to Mandy since she broke the silence first. He laughed at her question, resisting the urge to giggle. Ross had told him he did that at times, and he didn’t want Mandy to think he was high or something because twice in one day is so bad. “Well, riding some rides mostly. But also just having some ‘me’ time,” he told her. “I’m always around the same people for the whole day, so it’s nice being able to be by myself. But now I’m kind of lonely,” he added, a small frown on his lips. When he’d first arrived, he’d enjoyed the time alone, but now he was itching to have people around him to talk to or for them to just listen to the new dinosaur call he was working on. It was awesome.
He tilted his head as Mandy said he seemed familiar. He seemed familiar?! Cool! “I don’t know. You seem familiar to me too,” he mentioned, because she did. He studied her face, wondering now that he could see her more clearer he would recall her. Pink hair, awesome nose ring, and those freckle things. “I do know you!” he exclaimed suddenly, the answer popping into his head. He was aware of the looks he received from some people, but brushed them off; like he cared. “You’re not just Mandy. You’re the Mandy from Since Sin,” he said putting extra emphasis on the band name as looking quite pleased with himself. “The, uh, drummer right? Of course, that’s why I didn’t recognize you,” he said, before looking her up and down. “You’re taller when your not sitting behind your kit,” he told her, a grin on his face.

'CAUSE I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO WHENEVER YOU'RE NEAR OH BABY, YOU MAKE ME JUST WANNA YOU MAKE ME WANNA PIN YOU DOWN AND TEAR YOU APART
The girl took her sunglasses off with a small smile. He seemed really nice. "Yes, you as well" She said with a small nod. Her own band mates flat out refused to go with her. At least he was nicer then that. Or at least he seemed nicer then that. Oh, well. She didn't need her band mates, they were a crowd anyways. They never do what she thinks of is fun, or at least they won't go on the roller coasters in this case. And, yet they all made an appearance at a museum just because their manager said it could be fun. It wasn't fun. It was boring, no less than boring it was dreadful. Smiling to herself, she knew that it wasn't that bad but blowing things out of proportion was fun at times. As long as nothing in her head actually happened in real life, people would be quite afraid of the female drummer.
Mandy smiled, she was a little embarrassed by her stupid question. Though, it wasn't like she could tell him that she didn't usually say stupid things. That wasn't true. She always said stupid stuff. Though, that's partially her fault. She never really thinks about what she says before she says things. It wasn't one of her strong points.
He seemed to find amusement in her struggle. At least something good came out of a stupid question. After listening to him she nodded. She knew what that was like. Her band was always on her back. Just because she died her hair pink did not mean she would do something stupid...more then once. "I know what you mean about being around the same people, my... family is like that sometimes as well" She said with a small smile. Mandy really did think of the band as a part of her family her family, because, more or less, they were. She didn't need her other family, they didn't care anyways. Though, her brother still found a way to get a smile upon her face from time to time. But other then him, she could care less about her other family. "Lonely?" She asked looking around there were tons of people there. Then again, she was taking that too literal. He was lonely because there was no one else with him not because of the amount of people. "Hm... well, you could hang with me, unless that's interfering with your 'me time', that is" She said with a smirk. She was also feeling quite bored in the lines without someone to talk to, so why not take a random stranger with her?
She had to keep her eyes from widening, of course she looked familiar. God, she had to find a wig, maybe brown, just so she could go around like everyone else. “I don’t know. You seem familiar to me too,” The girl didn't reply to his comment just smiled faintly. Oh well, even if he did figure it out it wasn't like he was going to scream it to the world. Her smile widened a bit as he figured it out. Though, he could have been a bit quieter about it. The girl chucked a bit,"Yeah, that's me," She said nodding. Mandy smiled hugely "I certainly hope I'm taller then that." She said with the still noticeable grin on her face. She didn't even bother to try to hide her identity from this boy. He seemed like he could handle hanging out with her and not screaming or talking as if she was a god.
The girl tilted her head to the side. She had to figure out who he was. He had to be in one of the other bands on the island. That's when she figured it out. "Oh! So, you must be from Hazardous Rumor right? You must be the Lead Guitarist, no wonder I recognized you." She said excitedly starting to trail off at the end. She couldn't believe she didn't figure it out before. She was a fan of their music. They were pretty good, but whether or not they were better then Since Sin was depending on what all of the fans say.

hey there! wanna have some fun? just jump jump jump and take a run!
Will was really glad when Mandy seemed to be just as pleased to meet him as he was about meeting her. A lot of the times when he done this, the other person wouldn’t even dignify him with a response and if they did, it was minimal and they immediately went back to doing whatever it was they had been doing. Even if that had been doing nothing. That was one of the cons of being a friendly person, he suspected. Some people just didn’t feel friendly and they basically made him feel bad for bothering him. But, he got over it really quickly because he would find someone else to talk to then. But not this time, because Mandy had talked to him back.
He tilted his head to the side at what she said. He felt a smile blossom on his face as he realized she agreed with him. He figured that most people would feel the same way about being with the same people for extended periods of time, but brushed it off. He didn’t mind touring, since there was usually something that needed to be done it didn’t bother him as much, but since they were on the island, it just seemed that his band was suddenly so much closer. It was as if they were on break, except they were still around him. He nodded at what she said. Yeah, he’d been feeling lonely. He was a people person and it was kind of hard being a people person when you were by yourself wasn’t it? “Oh no! of course not!” he said, grinning at her offer. “Thank you for letting me hang with you. We’re gonna have a blast!” he exclaimed, his excitement taking over the volume level in his voice.
He nodded to himself when she confirmed who she was. Like he needed confirmation; he had all the proof he needed right in front of him. “Well, you never know. I mean, you could’ve been a midget drummer and no one would ever know because you’re always sitting down,” he said, nodding seriously for a moment before laughing. Thoughts of midget drummers flooded his head for a moment, and then they were accompanied by midget photographers. Thanks Finny. He shook his head, trying to rid it of those incredibly silly thoughts because he really did not need to be distracted at the moment. He snapped back to attention at Mandy’s exclamation. He was suddenly frightened that something happened and he looked around, expecting to see aliens attacking or something. But there weren’t any aliens, she was just telling him that she knew what band he was from.
He nodded enthusiastically. “Yeah, I’m him,” he said, grinning. “Well, that’s me I guess. And you recognized me?” he questioned, his eyes going a little wide. “Wow, that’s pretty cool,” he said, a look of amazement on his face. “Wow, so what do you think the odds of two bandless band members being at the same theme park in the same roller coaster line at he same time are?” he asked her, but didn’t really expect an answer. Something like that he figured you needed to actually do a little math and he didn’t think Mandy really felt like doing math while she was at theme park. And it wasn’t because she had pink hair, it was because he doubted anyone would want to math when they didn’t have to. Unless they were some math nerd or something; but he didn’t judge. He shifted from foot to foot and glanced over her shoulder, spying how long the line was now. “So, so how long do you think we have more to wait?” he questioned.
It wasn’t that the was impatient, he’d just like to know. Like, what if he suddenly had to use the little guitarists’ room? He wanted to be sure that he had enough time to do that and come back. He frowned as he came tot eh realization that he didn’t even know what ride this was for. He knew he passed a sign, but he couldn’t remember what it had said on it. “Wait, better question: what is this line for anyway?” he asked her. “Oh! Is it he giant water slide?! Because, I really like that ride and they have like a shorter one attached to it which I like because I don’t like heights all that much,” he said.

'CAUSE I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO WHENEVER YOU'RE NEAR OH BABY, YOU MAKE ME JUST WANNA YOU MAKE ME WANNA PIN YOU DOWN AND TEAR YOU APART
God, her band members were very stupid. They could have met the Will Barnes if only they had come with her. Oh, well it was their loss. And, it wasn't as if they were a fan of Hazardous Rumor, they only listened to that kind of music because Mandy put it on. Which was odd, for the most part she listened to oldies or even southern rock, maybe acoustic pop, but there was something about Hazardous Rumor that she liked. It was probably the lyrics to the songs, or maybe it was the actual music. Either way, they were a really likable band.
The girl giggled a bit. Will was definitely a funny guy, that was for sure. She wasn't sure if he meant to be but he was. It was the fact he was so energetic. "Good, I guess we start with... well this roller coaster" Mandy said with a smile. Most people are just laid back, much like her other band mates. God, she was the oldest and they were telling her to grow up. She guessed that was what happened in bands. Just because she's the oldest, does not mean she's the most responsible. Though, if she really wanted to, she could be!
Mandy chuckled at the thought. She supposed he could have thought of her as a midget, though that may have proven problems when she would reach for the foot pedals for her base drum. The girl smirked thinking about how she would probably have to get down, off her chair, and push the pedal then. Maybe there would be a way to have someone else do the foot pedal for her. "I suppose that could happen, but I don't think I'd be able to hit the foot pedals" She said jokingly. Even though it might actually be true. Maybe Midgets have their own special drum set...
She grinned widely seeing his expression. Did he not have people recognize him all the time? They seemed like a well off band to her. Maybe they were having a slow down. OK, they couldn't have been, they were invited to the island by the "king". If they had slowed down they wouldn't have been invited, she was sure. “Well, that’s me I guess. And you recognized me?” Mandy nodded almost animatedly after the boy asked that question. It was true, she did, why wouldn't she be enthusiastic about it?
Her eyebrows furrowed at his next question. He was right it wasn't very likely, most bands stick together. It was more likely for one of them to bring their band along. If not for the sake of just staying together then just to make sure they don't get mauled by fans. "You know, you're right," She said still in thought, "The chances seem pretty slim." Mandy said, more said to herself then Will.
The girl looked ahead. The line wasn't near as long as it had been, but they were still going to have to wait for a little while. "Probably ..." Mandy tried to get a word in, but he cut her off. She was sure he didn't mean to, he was just a talkative and enthusiastic guy. Her eyes widened. He didn't know what line this ride was for. He just got in a random line hoping for the best? This could have been the line to a Merry-Go-Round for all he knew. Biting her lip she looked at him with wide eyes. "Um, this line if for a pretty big roller coaster." She said, her wide eyes still visible. He doesn't like heights? That may have posed to be a problem on this particular line.

hey there! wanna have some fun? just jump jump jump and take a run!
Will laughed at that, an image of a midget drummer trying to hit the foot pedal of their drum kit floating through his head. He decided that, since the image was hilarious, that it would be the newest feature in his bathroom wall art. Next to the dinosaurs of course. Hmm, maybe a dinosaur and a midget; that would be pretty awesome. He would definitely have to tell Finny about that; he was pretty sure the other boy would get a crack out of it. Because Finny could see the amazing-ness that was dinosaurs, along with other awesome things like midgets. Will thought that he should save his fantasizing for later and turn back to the conversation at hand before Mandy that he ADD or something. And he didn’t have ADD; he was just weird.
He nodded, he was glad that it seemed that they wouldn’t have too long of a wait. If there was any downside to theme parks, it was the god awful long wait there was to ride the rides, especially the good ones. The other thing would be the food. Not only was it bad, but it was expensive as hell. He didn’t have the resources to spend ten bucks on a hot dog that was nasty. Not that he ate hot dogs, they were kind of disgusting, but that was besides the point. He snapped back to attention as Mandy spoke again. Wait, did she say it was a big roller coaster? He was hoping she meant big as in…heavy or something because, if she didn’t, he would be out of this line in a fast moment.
“Uh, really?” he questioned, swallowing a little. He looked back over her shoulder, trying to catch a glimpse of the ride. Now that they were a little closer, he could actually now see the entrance to the ride, which boasted a large, scary looking sign with even scarier looking artwork. Whoever designed it must have really wanted the patrons of the ride to die of fear because, seriously, that’s how Will felt right now. “Um, nothing against you, but I don’t think I’m going to enjoy this ride very much,” he said, gnawing at his bottom lip as he imagined all sorts of things that could go wrong on the ride. Their car could over shoot and just go flying in the air, or it could start moving backwards and run into the cars behind it or even, the track could come loose and they would be left dangling for their lives fifty feet in the air. A look higher in the line and he saw a very hefty gentleman, which was bad since he would probably make the car tip over and send them to their deaths.
Not only was Will afraid of regular things, like heights, but he also had a fear of dying. It wasn’t so much as the feeling of not being alive, it was the process of it, one could say. He still remembered as a kid the nightmares he would get after watching anything remotely scary or with fear inducing thoughts. He couldn’t remember how many times he ran to his parents room and cried about all that he had seen. About the pain and terror of dying a slow and painful death. In a top ten list of his fears, dying slowly and painfully and just a very horrible death would probably in the top five, if not number one. Even his minor obsession with dinosaurs couldn’t stop the thought of being disemboweled by a Velociraptor and having his intestines eaten while he was still alive. He shook his head quickly, trying to get the horrifying thoughts from out of his head. It wouldn’t due well for him to have a panic attack in the middle of a theme park.

'CAUSE I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO WHENEVER YOU'RE NEAR OH BABY, YOU MAKE ME JUST WANNA YOU MAKE ME WANNA PIN YOU DOWN AND TEAR YOU APART
Mandy smiled at him at least he found the idea of a midget drummer just as, if not more, funny as she did. Then again, that wasn't hard. She didn't have anything against midgets, she just thought that the whole idea was funny. She would draw a comic strip, but she can't draw worth... anything. It was just not one of her talents. That, and singing. There was one time when she was drunk, she got up to do karaoke. She wasn't invited to that house again.
Biting her lip she nodded slowly as he looked at the ride. He was going to ditch her. She was almost one hundred percent sure. Well it was either ditch or watch her have fun, she would probably wait. They just made plans to tour the theme park together, but either way she was sure he wouldn't go on this ride. "No offense taken" She said quietly. Wait, does that mean he;s still coming on "We could just go to another ride if you want." She suggested. If he really didn't want to go, she wouldn't blame him. It was quite a large ride. If it was out of his comfort zone she'd be okay with it. She would be a little bummed, but she'd get over it.
Suddenly she got an idea. "Okay, how about a game while we wait in line" Mandy said with a grin. It sounded trivial, but maybe it could help him as much as it did her at times. "It's called 'The Worst Thing That Could Happen"," She continued. "Okay, the point of this game is that you think of all of the things that could happen when you're on that ride, the point of it is, is to eventually get you to think that your answers are not going to happen because the safety regulations have to be met for each ride." The girl said with a nod. Her brother was the one who introduced her to that game, though that was for her fear of spiders and snakes rather then heights.
Her brother, she frowned. Her brother was the person most dear to her. She would even give up music if it meant for him to be okay and happy. Her parents on the other hand, they could die in a hole just stay out of her life. Her parents didn't like her, and vice-versa. That was just how it was since Maria she felt her nostrils almost flare at the thought of her. Mandy noticed that she must have had a sour expression on her face. She looked up at Will with a smile that could have fouled anyone who hadn't seen the face. Either way, she had to portray herself as extremely happy for the press everyday. What was the difference with doing the same for someone else?

hey there! wanna have some fun? just jump jump jump and take a run!
Will shook his head vehemently. “No, no. It’s completely alright. Just because I don’t want to go on this ride, doesn’t mean I’ll keep you from going on,” he said, looking at her sincerely. If she had skipped out on the ride, he would have felt really bad and probably would have spent the rest of the day beating himself up about it. He hated having people try and match his needs just because of his fears, it was unfair to them and it made him feel even more like a coward. “Plus, we’re already so close, it would all be really ridiculous if we left now,” he added. “I’m more than fine with standing down here and watching as he go through all those loops and turns and drops…” he trailed off, looking a little green and stopped thinking about the coaster. “I’ll just have to make sure to dodge the falling puke,” he added jokingly, laughing.
He quirked an eyebrow at her proposition. A game? How intriguing. He liked games, especially games meant to cure waiting boredom; they come in handy at all sorts of times, especially on long van and/or bus and/or plane rides. He was a little apprehensive as she explained the game. How was that supposed to help him? Thinking up all the ways for things to go wrong seemed like the exact opposite of the desired effect. But, Mandy seemed to have faith in the plan and he was not anything if not a firm believer in faith. So, he would give it a shot. “Alright, it seems like a doable game. I think I’ll start,” he offered after a moment.
Will placed on hand on his chin, stroking it as he wondered what to say first. He finally came up with a good one that was plausible and only a little bit scary. Which was the best way to start, he figured. He noticed the vaguely sour look on Mandy’s face, but quicker than he could really process it, it as gone, replaced by a happy smile. He couldn’t help but smile back. It was always nice when people smiled because it usually meant they were happy; which was always a good thing. “Okay, well the power could go out on the ride and we would all be stranded up there for hours and hours,” he said. “And then, we would all go crazy and mutiny would slowly start to overcome the cars and then people would start to systematically throw other people out of the seats and to their deaths!” Unbeknownst to him, his voice level had gotten progressively louder and he had fairly shouted the last part.
He let out a small shriek and clapped his hand over his mouth. This was most definitely not a good game. Will started to look around, a little bit paranoid all of a sudden. He recognized the feeling clearly and he tried his hardest to let go of everything and to stay calm, but so far, it wasn’t working out like how he planned. This had only happened a few times in public places like this, but those were always the worst because they were the places that caused his most violent reactions. He suddenly wished his band was here, they had seen this happen a few times and had been really cool about keeping him call; especially Ross, the other boy could always calm him down and he wished he was here. He glanced back at Mandy, suddenly a little ashamed at his behavior. Here he was, twenty ears old, and still getting frightened by roller coasters. “S-Sorry about that,” he said, looking down at his feet, lightly scuffing the toe of his shoe on the concrete.

'CAUSE I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO WHENEVER YOU'RE NEAR OH BABY, YOU MAKE ME JUST WANNA YOU MAKE ME WANNA PIN YOU DOWN AND TEAR YOU APART
Mandy smiled at the boy in front of her. This boy was definitely one of a kind. He seemed to be like an eight year old in a twenty year old's body. She found it kind of cute in a certain way. Though, she could be like that as well, in fact, she was the one who asked what brought him to an amusement park. While they were in front of the ride.
She nodded toward him. "Um, okay. If you're sure..." she replied. The girl was still wary. If he just wanted to skip it, then she could as well easily. Though, he was right they were almost at the front of the line. Only about three or four more trains to go. As she looked up at him Mandy smiled at the boy, he was apparently witty as well, though looking a bit sick. "Are you okay?" She asked. "You look a little sick..." The girl told him with concern. A sick person going around a theme park was a hazard to everyone. Though, it never stopped Mandy on her third grade field trip. The school never funded that trip again afterward.
Listening to his...vivid explanation of what could go wrong her eyes widened. Wow, he was right a lot could go wrong. It wouldn't be too bad to get stranded on a ride, as long as they weren't upside down. As he continued her eyes widened even more. It got to the point where he was yelling at her. Mandy stepped back word a step her eyes still wide. She hadn't known he had a temper. The girl was determined not to treat him differently, but space seemed like a good thing to give him. It wasn't as if she was afraid he'd hit her. There were too many people for that. And they were watching Mandy and Will quite closely. It seemed that they found it amusing. Though, she was relieved no one called security.
It was her fault anyway. If she hadn't brought up her game he wouldn't have yelled at her. It wasn't like he meant to anyway. Mandy could tell by his reaction after he yelled. "N-no it's my fault" She said with a small smile. "I shouldn't have brought the game up." The girl gave him a reassuring glance. "Sorry."

hey there! wanna have some fun? just jump jump jump and take a run!
Will was aware of the fact that Mandy had started to gravitate slowly away from him and he realized what a sight he must have been. He probably looked like a raving lunatic what with all the shouting and gesticulating and the strange look on his face. Great. He felt even worse now. He had tried his very best to seem like just a normal, average Joe, but had failed. Like, epically failed and it kind of stung. He wondered what Mandy thought of him now. She probably regretted her offer of hanging out with him and just wished she could slip away without him noticing, or, better yet, he would leave on his own accord and not seek her out again. He wouldn’t blame her if that was exactly how she felt.
He was a little stunned when she apologized, blaming the incident as her own fault. No, no it was his fault, he was sure of it. He shook his head, trying to think of a way to kindly negate her apology, but was coming up blank. He decided to just be blunt; he would at least get his point across. “No, it wasn’t your fault,” he said. “You had good intention, really, about the game. It’s not your fault if I couldn’t understand where you were going with it,” he said earnestly, hoping she would believe him. That was mostly true, he didn’t want her to think it was her fault, because he didn’t think it was. But, there was another part of his answer that he didn’t really think was appropriate to vocalize.
Will didn’t want her pity. He didn’t want her sad, sideways glances or looks of understanding that older people gave to little children as they heard their various fright induced complaints. It wasn’t a far fetched idea to him. It had happened before, only a short while ago, actually. It was probably one of the most humiliating experiences he had ever had to…experience. The look that crossed against that woman’s face as she bore first hand witness to one of his characteristic bouts of paranoia was a mix between pity and with a little cynicism, wondering why he, basically an adult, was so scared of something. At this moment, Will couldn’t even remember all the circumstances that surrounded it, he just remembered her look and how he had felt afterwards. He didn’t want to experience that again, ever, and most certainly not from someone who was sort of a peer of his. Kind of; he was pretty sure Mandy was a little older.
He directed his thoughts away from the past and back to the pink haired girl in front of him. “Uh, I was just wondering if we could, maybe, just forget about that last couple of minutes?” he questioned. That’s what he really wanted, for her to just erase that whole crazy part of him and keep the good part; the funny Will and not the coward Will. “I’m still up for watching you have a blast and then, hopefully, when your turn is over, we could just do something a little more…easygoing?” he suggested. “Like go on the carousel? I don’t have a fear of metal horses,” he added, chuckling a little. He really hoped Mandy agreed; it would not only make him feel better, but it would help him settle the problem of being lonely as well.

'CAUSE I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO WHENEVER YOU'RE NEAR OH BABY, YOU MAKE ME JUST WANNA YOU MAKE ME WANNA PIN YOU DOWN AND TEAR YOU APART
Mandy looked up at him. He seemed to be in thought about something. She looked at the distance now between them. She was much farther away then what she was before. He probably felt bad about the whole thing. Maybe part of that was her fault. It must have looked like she was pitying him. Not just pity, but also feared him. She didn't want to seem afraid. He was a nice boy before after all. Heck, he's still probably a nice boy. She was determined not to let this adventure get to her.
Offering a small smile she nodded. Maybe she could have clarified a little better as to what her intentions were. Somehow it always worked for her own fears. Then again, people were all different. What worked for her obviously did not work for Will. Her mind was filled of thoughts that she could become a counselor or therapist. She sure as heck sounded like one. The girl was tempted to giggle but knew the gravity of the situation. "Sorry" she said quietly once again. She inwardly hit herself, there was no need for her to apologize. Then again, she was more or less giving him hopes of pity. She hated when people gave her that look. In fact, her sister gave her that look more often than not. Now, they never talked. Though, that was for different reasons.
The girl's smile became a large grin. She was determined not to let this bump in the road ruin a good friendship. Mandy made a promise to herself. If Will didn't want pitiful glances, there wouldn't be any. Then again, there was no reason for one. Everyone blows up some time, even her. She knows what it's like. Her band mates have seen it, heck some of the press had seen it. She was just determined not to show it.
Mandy smiled as he was speaking to her in something that was not a sad manor. Forget the last couple of minutes? That was something she could do. "So, what happened the last couple minutes?" She said with a wink to let him know what she was talking about. The girl chuckled, next to roller coasters the next best ride was the carousel. "Sure, and the best part about a carousel is you can actually get off if it breaks down" She said with a small laugh. She hoped he wouldn't think she was mocking her, she wasn't. There was no reason to. The last couple of minutes were already forgotten for all she cared.
As she looked up ahead she saw that it was already their her turn to go on the ride. "Alright, I guess this is where we part for the next," she left a dramatic pause as she looked at her imaginary watch, "one and a half minutes, then" Mandy said jokingly. As she slipped on to the ride she gave him a small wave. It was good bye, for the next minute and a half. Which had her giggling in the ride to the annoyance of her new partner.

hey there! wanna have some fun? just jump jump jump and take a run!
Will felt his chest lighten as he saw the large grin blossom on Mandy’s face. It was obviously a good sign and he was glad that she must agree with him on the whole erasing bit. He wouldn’t really have been up to doing anything more if she had decided he was too creepy and weird and didn’t want to hang out with him anymore, which would have really sucked since he would have still had to stay in the theme park for sometime before his ride came to take him back. He didn’t drive. He was even more glad when he realized his assumption was correct as what she said next. She was funny. He nodded, smiling giddily as he winked back, letting her know he had caught on as well. He was actually kind of surprised that he had gotten it. If this had been any other time, it would have flown right over his head and he probably would have brought it up again, just to see if the other person had gotten what he said.
He found himself laughing at her joke; which he knew was meant in jest rather than in a mean kind of way. “Right. It’s inventor knew what they were doing when they made that possible,” he said. There was a small moment of silence when neither of them spoke before Mandy broke it. He grinned at what she said, nodding his head a little. “Alright, that one and a half minute will be the dreariest of my life,” he said in an overdramatic way. He shifted out of the line so he wouldn’t be mistaken as a rider and held up his thumbs at Mandy in a good luck gesture. He watched as she boarded the ride, along with the person that had been next to her, and patiently waited for it to start up.
There were a few people, teenagers he suspected, that were chatting kind of loudly (though, he really wasn’t one to talk after all) behind him and he caught a few interesting words. He frowned when he realized that they were talking about him. He briefly wondered if they realized he was only standing a foot or two away from them, close enough that their conversation wasn’t really all that hard to decipher. He was kind of put off when he realized they were talking about his outburst a little while ago. ‘Yeah, some pansy came all the way up the line before totally flipping out because he didn’t know this was, like, the biggest ride here. What an idiot.’ Will clenched his jaw, trying not to get riled up and say something to the teens. After all, he was older, more mature, he could handle a few words without making a scene.
Instead, he moved even farther away as he continued to wait for the ride to end. It seemed like it was taking hours and hours, when in reality it was only a minute and a half. But, he realized, there was other time up there. Like, for getting everyone in their seats and making sure they were all buckled in correctly and what not. He was patient. He could wait quietly for Mandy to get back down. His positive thoughts must have leaked out to the roller coaster because before he knew it, people were starting to file down the ramp from the exit. He went overt, looking for the familiar bright pink hair, ignoring the other people that had ridden. He shifted as he waited, wondering what was taking Mandy so long. “Come on. We have carousels to ride,” he muttered under his breath. He couldn’t help the tiny laugh that came out afterwards.

'CAUSE I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO WHENEVER YOU'RE NEAR OH BABY, YOU MAKE ME JUST WANNA YOU MAKE ME WANNA PIN YOU DOWN AND TEAR YOU APART
Mandy smiled at the boy knowing he got what she meant. Maybe it was the wink. What happened the few minutes before was behind them. It was great to know that it wouldn't be brought up again. She didn't want her new found friend to be ashamed nor feel bad about it. He was much too nice for that. She chuckled at him being over dramatic. She was tempted to say something back, but she was pushed forward. It was time for her t get on the ride.
The girl felt giddy seemingly flying through loops, twists, and turns. It was so fun for her to just go on that roller coaster. She was giggling the whole time. The person beside her looked as if he was going to strangle her which only made her laugh harder. Something about theme parks made her... well, giddy for lack of a better word. It felt like only ten seconds had passed when really the ride was already finished.
Her hair was all over the place, she didn't have to look in a mirror to know that. She forgot to bring any elastic bands, so she was stuck looking like a pink fuzz ball for the rest of the day. Oh, well. That didn't matter anyways. It wasn't as if the press was out to get her for her hair when getting off a roller coaster. Besides, it didn't matter to her. Gossip was cheesy and stupid, the paparazzi were the people who started gossip, and ergo the paparazzi were cheesy and stupid. She felt like giggling once again. She never used the word ergo, and she just used it in her head.
She fought her way through the line of people trying to get off the ride, which unfortunately took too long in her opinion. She searched for her friend and eventually found him. Looking at Will, the girl waved. He didn't look very happy, almost impatient looking. He didn't even seem to notice her. Then again, she would be impatient as well if it wasn't for her being on the ride. As Mandy went toward Will he didn't seem to notice. Was he talking to himself? Giggling at his comment she grinned. "Alright, alright I'm coming" The girl said while giggling.
As she moved in front of him she grinned. "To the Merry-Go-Round!" The girl said as if it was the most important thing at that point. Well, to her it was. The other people in the park probably could care less. Taking someone's hand she drug them toward the carousel. When she looked behind her she saw some random person she was taking. "Oh my gosh, sorry I thought you were my friend." Biting back a laugh she saw the girl who she kidnapped go back to her friends. There wasn't a that's okay, honest mistake I suppose from her. She just walked back. Then again, that's what most people would do, just go back to their crowds. Looking back toward Will she smiled her face turning a little red. "Well, come on. Let's go then" The girl said with a nod.
